The only common-place removal spells he dies to are Dreadbore and Sever the Bloodline, unlike Ultimate Price, Pillar of Flame, Mizzium Mortars and Searing Spear. .Rai
Was tempted to say Snapcaster, but might not be that good. Still not a fan of Drogskol myself, even though he's pretty cool.
This Account is Unplayable
5 mana counterspells aren't good unless they're Force of Will... That really sums up my opinion of Snappy in here. He's good in a deck with cheaper instants, and ones that serve more utility. Flashing back an Azorius Charm or Dissipate is as good as he gets... And I'd rather not run him solely for that. I love Drogskol Reaver in this. There aren't many other options either. Might try Sphinx of Uthuun at some point instead, but I've been liking how resilient Reaver can be.
newhat
Since I've seen it in a Deck like this, thoughts on Thought Scour?
This Account is Unplayable
Since I've seen it in a Deck like this, thoughts on Thought Scour?
Really don't need it and it lacks synergy entirely. Thought Scour's more of a tempo/Snapcaster card, whereas sure this deck plays tempo until turn 3... it's only up to turn 3 and there's no grave interaction bar Feeling of Dread. Azorius Charm does the same here as Thought Scour did in INN block, pretty much, and if I really wanted to dig even more (Seriously, 4 Jace and 2 Tamiyo is plenty) then I'd play Forbidden Alchemy. Flame Dragon
You need another Sphinx's Revelation. The extra cards and life will often come in handy. Haven't seen Azorius Charm ever be that amzing so maybe cut one for it? Also, personal perfeance, but I like a 3/2 split for Terminus and Verdict. This Account is Unplayable
I like Azorius Charm, but it does sometimes feel like it should be something else. I'll drop one for Sphinx's Rev. Might try a 3/2 split, actually, my ability to open with Terminus instead of miracling it does seem a bit too annoying. Well, I'll make both changes then. Miror B
What do you even use Azorius Charm for? If it's just the draw then you may as well use Think Twice. Because in all honesty the other 2 abilities have never really come in handy for me when I use it.
This Account is Unplayable
Depends on the matchup really. The fact that it Time Ebb some creatures is amazing, but I'm starting to like it less and less. Not a huge fan of Think Twice here, but actually makes sense to switch it for one with the way the meta's completely killing aggro and everything has an ETB trigger. Yeah, swapping them makes sense. Miror B
It's an argument someone posed to me. The bounce is nice, but is restricted to Attacking/Defending monsters and only bounces one, so rather than eliminate the issue it stalls it unless it's a token or something. And Lifelink in Control seems like an oxymoron.
This Account is Unplayable
I was running it to make the earlier game that much easier to stabilise. I'm playing U/W, not Bant, so I don't have Thragtusks or anything to recover lost life to stabilise. I'd definitely run it to stall, much like I was, but the meta's so full of ETB triggers it's not worth it.
