Simping For Hina
You mean dual lands? Well, they exist on all types. There are Gates, Shocks, Bounce, Tap, Man, Snow-Covered, Regular, Pain, Filter, Slow. The originals are and will always be the best. Modern takes the turn with Shocks, 2 life is nothing if you are going to win. Pain lands are bothersome because they do it every time you tap, and that can bring you down fast. Snow-Covered, Gates, all related are nice for a budget and a lot better than Terramorphic and Evolving Wilds. Bounce are kind of inconsistent and are a dead card early one, nice for Halimar Depths and related things like Bojuka Bogs. Tap lands reside in all different types. The M10 and Innistrad are amazing because they are basically free and can be used w/ shock lands. There is the Mirrodin Tap lands that are free lands, absolutely great for aggro. Filter lands are great, then allow for more of a consistent thing, but do require it and another land that has one of the 2 colors to use it properly. Slow lands do not untap during your next untap. It is exactly as it is called, slow. Any other lands?
Alice Moonflowyr
O.O Whoa. MTG has changed a LOT since when I learned how to play.
Simping For Hina
I only learned last January. Not really much has changed for me. It is nice to keep up with the game though, it usually does change a lot.
Alice Moonflowyr
I learned to play around four-five years ago. I still suck though. And I can see that. When I learned, there was one kind of Dual Land that I knew of and those were the originals. Underground Sea, Bayou, Tundra, etc.
Simping For Hina
This is a fairly good site to look at for now. It hasn't been updated since Mirrodin, so Innistrad dual lands and RtR Guild Gates are not going to be in it, but that isn't too bad: http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/visual_spoilers_lands_dual_color_lands.htm
That's one of the M10 tap lands. Also, first reply forgot the following: Depletion lands, from Ice Age, that would tap for either color then mot untap in the next untap step. Storage lands, from Time Spiral, that could have storage counters place on them for {1} and tapping, then could have storage counters removed to add allied color mana to the mana pool. Both of those mechanics were used on non-dual lands, just as a note.

Cuz I have some M13 copies and figured they'd be a bit more relavant. Especially since they're probably as good as a shockland late-game (and potentially early game)
Bounce lands are REALLY good. Being able to tap for 2 mana is very pwerful with cards that untap lands and because they count as double the man source they esentually give you a free land, even if they are slow. And yea, late game they almost always come into play untapped. Shocks still have the edge though since counting as basic lands is a HUGE bonus.
Oh, I know how strong they are. They are just a dead card early on turn 1-3. It brings a land back to your hand, so you need to play it turn 2 to use it properly and that turn itself is very important in a lot of games sometimes as well. It is a lot better late game and is really good for formats like EDH or Pauper.

This more or less makes them play like a come into play tapped land. They only get really bad when you have a bunch of lands that come into play tapped since that makes getting mana a lot slower. .Rai
Bouncelands are really only good in EDH. The disadvantages outweigh the benefits. Trying to think of what duals there are. Original dual lands Painlands Fetchlands Invasion saclands Odyssey filterlands Future Sight duals Lorwyn tribal lands Shadowmoor filterlands Shocklands Bouncelands Snow-covered duals Storage lands Alara wedgelands Zendikar manlands Zendikar Refuges M10/Innistrad duals Scarlands Kamigawa slowlands RtR Gates God, that's a lot. Graven Cairns (which later became part of the Shadowmoor filters), River of Tears, Horizon Canopy, Grove of the Burnwillows and Nimbus Maze.
