CinnamonStar
I actually found that Aphex Twin song more beautiful than sad.=o But then again, I have a lot of sad and beautiful songs.^^ But depressing? Well, I looked through my files and arranged them by theme/language... My Dying Bride - For my Fallen Angel It's your tearful violin ballad made by a Doom Metal band and with emotional as hell lyrics. VNV Nation - Further Song means a lot to me.o.o The lyrics describe almost everything I feel. I like sitting back and drifting into the atmosphere of the song. Which is damn well-done, by the way. It's not the tear-jerking sort of sad song, but...it has its own atmosphere.^^ ZUN/Touhou - The Tank Girl's Dream (MIDI version) Not really sad, but more...melancholic in a cute way. If only they had kept this version as the official one.xD ZUN/Touhou - Vanishing Dream ~ Lost Dream X-Japan - Endless Rain X-Japan - Tears May look up translations, but every slow thing these guys did is pretty intense. 'Tears' was written for the drummer's father who committed suicide. Utada Hikaru - Kremlin Dusk Gummy - As I look into the Mirror Love-related: DBSK - Love in the Ice T-Ara feat. Davichi - We were in Love Dunno, they're not really sad and not even slow, but just very beautiful. Actually, I think the fact that they're not slow or flat throughout the song is probably what makes me listen to those. Oh well, long post lol. Keep the crying coming.=o

gimmepie
Sad music is often the most beautiful. Here is a lsit of the some of the most beautiful and saddest music I have heard My Immortal - Evanescence Lost in The Echo - Linkin Park Perfect Day - Miriam Stockley I suppose it isn't technically a sad song but it is very emotional and really gets to me [Insert Adele Song Here] Skinny Love - Bon Iver/Birdy I love both versions Two Beds and a Coffee Machine - Savage Garden The Crow and the Butetrfly - Shinedown I Don't Believe You - Pink Some Nirvana but they are mostly angry Earth Song - Michael Jackson Don't Cry/November Rain/Civil War May - James Durbin Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Greenday Pour Me - Hollywood Undead Paper Heart - David Cook Diamantina Drover/Cydi/True Blue/Several Others - John Williamson Welcome to The Black Parade - My Chemcal Romance Ain't No Sunshine - Soooo many people (Especially David Garrets Violin version) and many, many more. The most beautiful music comes from our saddest and our happiest moments. Because those are the times that make us who we are. Well sorry to go on and on like that XD I tried to include links but it wouldn't let me

.Rai
Gonna agree with Summit. It's a good song; Ellie Goulding is also generally one of the most depressing pop writers (see the entirety of Halcyon). Probably gonna say Amy Winehouse's last album personally. Heartbreaking to listen to it.

For those of you who are rap lovers I'd also say that quite a lot of Eminems work (Especially When I'm Gone) certainly qualify. As do Cursed From Birth and Only 19 by The Hilltop Hoods. A few more I'd personally recommend are Everybody Hurts - R,E.M. Wild Eyed Boy - Birds of Tokyo Tears Don't Fall - Bullet for my Valentine Khe Sanh - Cold Chisel I Will Not Say Goodbye - Danny Gokey Dust In The Wind - Far too many people Soaked - Muse and Adam Lambert have both done it [Insert Ed Sheeran Song Here] Here We Divide - Dead Letter Circus Better Than Me/Without You - Hinder Cry/Goodbye My Lover - James Blunt Use Somebody - Kings of Leon The Truth - Kris Allen What Hurts the Most - Rascal Flatts And here's one that will get me shot I will probably have even more for you all later haha
Susie
I personally don't like Eminem but some of his slower songs are kinda nice to hear, ones like Mockingbird and Beautiful. EliminateHRN
Personally, for me sad songs are songs that I can relate too. Maybe the songs I'm about to list you wouldn't really consider "sad" or whatever, but I do because I can relate to them. Also, not all of these songs are songs I can relate too (some songs are just songs I really think are sad), but most of them are.
