Tormented
I would post this in the other thread but It would get no comments on it so yeah. I listened to NightyWhitey and added some more effects etc and came up with this. Night
Much better, however the colors feel forced since I'm guessing you g-mapped once using a purple -> orange gradient and then left it 100% opacity, then just left it as is. The atmo is tremendously better, but going by the latter I'm guessing you tried to darken the piece and then illuminate certain areas by erasing bits where the focal is, only problem is you're not taking advantage of opacity levels and the soft brush, when erasing for lighting it's almost always a good idea to use a soft brush on 10% - 35% opacity, erase more where the lighting is supposed to reflect and less where it does not, allowing for a not-so-steep cut off. Regardless, good improvement.
Tormented
Well thanks, I'll use soft brushes and stuff like that a bit more so s'all good. But I'll just have to see how it goes, might have to create another a bit later and see how that goes, oh and I need to learn how to do smudge sigs :L
Night
Ask LC for some pointers on smudging.
Tormented
That I will do, but I suppose first things first is that I need to work on it myself.
Twenty-five Zero Oh-oh
The main issue I'd say is the monotone colors. To me, it appears as if you've used a gradient map on too high of an opacity setting. Also, it may help in the future if you remember to avoid pitch black as much as possible. Having too much of it will make your tag look lq and over contrasted.
