An Unnamed Vampire Story [PG-13]

Rain pattered on metal, footsteps were blurred out by the noise, drowned in the rain. The wind blew as strong as a jet, blasting the leaves to the side, strewing them down the street. People wandered blindly down the streets, only the amber glow of the street lamps to guide them. A lone umbrella slid along the floor, lost by a poor bystander. A loud ringing pierced the monotonous rain, a school bell, releasing the young into a torrent of water. As they were streaming out of the doors of their safe and dry school, a hooded man barged through the group of awaiting parents, causing a few to curse and yell. He ignored their words, eyes focused ahead, never blinking, permanently shocked. This man had information the world needed, and he knew how important he had suddenly become. A sudden gust of wind knocked his hood off, revealing his short greying black hair, receding around the edges. The wrinkles around his eyes were strained, striving to fight the rain from his vision, a futile attempt. Undeterred, the man stormed through the streets, throwing caution to the wind. Ahead laid his car, left unlocked just in case of such an emergency, his chance to escape the coming downpour. As he ran past the alleyway, a sudden whip of noise echoed through the smashing of the rain. A weighted piece of rope contacted with the man’s legs, sending him flying through the air, like a hunted rabbit. He contacted with the ground with a loud thud, breaking his jaw on the hard concrete, spreading blood across the pavement as he slid. The rain washed away his blood, turning it into a stream of his fluid, as a dark figure stepped across the bloody river. A slim, short person stopped, mere inches away from the man, who was desperately pulling at his bonds. A slight grin could be seen under the hood that hid the mystery of a figure. It crouched down, placing a hand on the tip of its hood, revealing bright red eyes and blood red lips. Her smile was cruel and yet lustful, as if she was about to murder her meal. Her red hair looked natural as the wind blew it around, as if she was the gale itself. Abruptly, the man loosened his legs enough to strike one out, seemingly catching the woman in the back. She grunted slightly, a winded hunter, picking the man up with one hand. Her dainty fingers gripped around his neck, unnaturally strength arose from this small woman. In one swift movement, she threw him across the street, sending him hurtling into a lamppost, with a loud snap. The man screamed in agony before his voice was blotted out by gurgling, blood spurting out of his mouth. He reached for his ribs, before quickly pulling his hands back, releasing that he was pouring out blood from his side. Suddenly, the woman was standing before him. He sputtered, trying to use his remaining strength to swipe out at her, but was stopped by her swift fist, cracking his arm backwards, snapping the bones like twigs. Holding his arm with the other hand, tears began to stream down his face. Trying to splutter out words, most likely words of mercy, only created more gurgling as he drowned in his own lifeblood. Uninterested in his wounds, the woman chuckled slightly, leaping onto the man. She bit at his neck, ripping out his throat and then slurping on his blood. The river of crimson ran down the street, flowing into a nearby drain. Words of truth, lost like tears in the rain.

This is simply an introductory paragraph, to set the scene of the rest of the novel. Not sure whether to carry it on, it feels a bit weak to me. Let me know what you think - Ropp.

Space it out. Paragraph it. I honestly cant read it, because it's just a wall of text at the moment. Remember TiPToP: Time, People, Topic, Place. Paragraph it according to this. A wall of text is honestly difficult to read, and with eyesight like mine, can be painful. I'll read it once it's spaced.
