Grammar: 1/3 Missing word (same what?), missing space, a misspelled word, and "Spell/Traps" instead of "Spell/Trap Cards". When I said "grammar" I meant card grammar, not English grammar, but /ok. Strength and Balance: 2/3 It's a -1, which counteracts the fact that it makes the target 99% invincible to anything, so it might actually be useful. The price isn't hefty, but it is present and a bit interesting. Context: 3/4 I don't see anything particular useful about it in the current format, but nothing very unuseful about. Creativity: 4/5: I particularly like the cost. And the world doesn't have enough Quick-plays. Total: 15/20
Removing From The Field! "Removing from the field" is really weird. This is why actual cards may say "cannot be targeted or destroyed" or "is unaffected by card effects" but not "cannot be removed from the field". The original awkwardness came from the fact that cards like Reborn Tengu don't have their effects activated when they're returned to the deck, because shuffling and deck and resetting and stuff. But the monster is still obviously no longer on the field (one might say it was on the field, but got "removed"). So a card that says "When x leaves the field, do y" would still activate in such a case. Now we have Xyz Materials, which may or may not be on the field and may or may not be cards depending on the rule in question, who you ask, and the phase of the moon. So avoid these words when possible.
Dam, those grammar fails/lacks really hurt me. Oh well. Vinyl
Effect: This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Dimensionclaw Ripper". This card cannot be Set. When this card is Summoned: Banish 1 card in your Graveyard. Once per turn, when an opponent's card effect that would send a card to the Graveyard activates: Banish this face-up card and 1 other card on your side of the field; Negate the effect, and Special Summon 1 of your banished cards OR 1 "Dimensionclaw Ripper" from your Deck, then banish 1 card from your Graveyard. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each of your banished cards. When this card leaves the field (except by the effect of Dimensionclaw Ripper*): Banish all copies of it in your Deck, hand, field and Graveyard. (yes I know it's long) EDIT: *It doesn't say that on the card, but that's because for whatever reason all of my cards got deleted and I can't be bothered to re-do the entire card. Dr. Cakey
Ooh, I'm late! Let's get this started.
Image Quality: 1/2 It's possible to find good quality images of anime card-art itself. Actually, now that I poked around for a minute or two, it's harder than I thought it was...well, whatever, it's only 1 point. Image Appropriateness: 3/3 That sure is a shining knight. Grammar: 2/3 Everything's fine, and then suddenly you hit this one point and everything goes wrong at once. 1) "your side of the field" is unnecessary. 2) effect(s), not effect. 3) I've never seen a monster's effect [s]used for Synchro or Xyz material[/s] used for a Synchro Summon or Xyz Summon. Monsters are commonly used, but not their effects. Strength and Balance: 2/3 This is a bit tricky. In terms of cons, it's a Synchro Monster, which are incredibly slow compared to Xyz Monsters, and its level + summoning conditions make it a bit tricky to summon, I think. It's too much of a bother with Agents, so probably the only deck to summon it would be some kind of dedicated Warrior/Chaos deck. But it's not good enough to put all that effort into summoning it. All it can revive are beatsticks, since their effects are negated and they can't be used as material for anything. And since I've dedicated my deck to summoning this, I probably won't be able to pull up something very useful, anyway. Context: 1/4 No particular point to summoning it except as a beatstick, and there are other Synchro beaters. Hey, by the way, why can I only control 1 Amatan? Creativity: 3/5 It's a relatively straightforward effect, but we don't see many Synchro Monsters with it. Total: 12/20

Image Quality: 2/2 Image Appropriateness: 3/3 I dunno what a Holliwillow is, but that's probably what one looks like. Grammar: 2/3 You're half in new OCG, half in a bad, old OCG. Here's your second effect, free of charge: "When this card is targeted by a card effect: Target 1 [other] face-up monster with ATK or DEF different from its original ATK/DEF; Destroy that target." Strength and Balance: 1/3 Did you just accidentally make a 2000 ATK Level 3 monster with no drawbacks and a powerful effect? Er...wait. Okay, so if I attack with Holliwillow and switch its own ATK, its own effect activates, and it'll have to destroy itself unless there happens to be another target already in play (unlikely). Except, wait, no that won't happen, because its ATK hasn't changed yet, like you said...so it really is a 2000 ATK Level 3 monster with no drawbacks and a powerful effect. /ok Context: 3/4 People say ATK means nothing. This is a misconception. ATK is hugely important. But it's not worth expending large numbers of cards on because it's so fragile. So giving ATK-adjustment effects to a low-level monster makes sense. The downside is that it's a WIND Fairy, which doesn't have much to do with anything. Creativity: 4/5 A little too much creativity, maybe. Total: 15/20

Image Quality: 2/2 Image Appropriateness: 3/3 Grammar: 3/3 Are there really no grammar problems???? Strength and Balance: 2/3 On the one hand, this is Ice Counter support - you could make a monster with the effect "You can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this card from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Once per turn: You can remove 1 Ice Counter from a card on the field; Inflict 4000 damage to your opponent" and it still wouldn't be OP'd. But you really should get rid of one of the effects (probably the ATK-gain, in my personal opinion). And maybe make it not able to be Normal Summoned, just for fun. Context: 4/4 How can you say no to Ice Counters? And of course WATER basically has best support. Creativity: 4/5 If you can't pick an effect, why not include all of them? Total: 18/20

Image Quality: 2/2 Image Appropriateness: 3/3 Grammar: 1/3 "Succsesfully"? I count more than ten errors on this card. It's neither new nor old OCG, but it seems to be a combination of new OCG and the grammar used on the old Pokemon cards I still have somewhere in my house. Strength and Balance: 1/3 A +1 every turn that can Special Summon itself? Context: 2/4 Despite being ridiculous, it doesn't work with much, either. Geargias, I suppose. Then you could add a searcher to Geargias so you can search while you search while you tutor. Creativity: 2/5 Special Summon from hand? Check. Add friend from deck to hand? Check. Do it once per turn? Check. Here's a tip: "If x, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can add y from your Deck to your hand" is basically every card ever. Total: 11/20

Image Quality: 2/2 Image Appropriateness: 2/3 Claws, yes. Dimensions, yes. But it's not ripping anything. Kind of the opposite, actually. Grammar: 2/3 Okay, I don't exactly get this card, but we'll deal with that later. You start out with old OCG and move to new OCG. Strength and Balance: 1/3 Good news: This card is not OP! Bad news: It's not very good. I can't Special Summon it, for one. It'll probably gain 500-800 ATK most of the time, so it's still pretty weak. Its effect seems pretty unhelpful to me - it's just a -1 that your opponent gets to choose when to trigger. Also (and this is important), this card doesn't work together with Macro Cosmos (it works 50/50 with Dimensional Fissure), because it requires the target to be sent to the Graveyard. And, to top it all off, I have to Tribute Summon this dumb thing. Context: 2/4 Here's where you lose points for this card's effect being long and dumb. Creativity: 4/5 You do have that. Total: 13/20
tl;dr I'm biased towards people with lots of posts. Because post count is important. Round Three Rules: Here's how it'll go down in the final round: your image must come from a Synchro Monster (it can be an anime-only Synchro). Then, with that image, you must make an Xyz Monster with the same Rank as the Synchro Monster's Level. Why so specific? Hell if I know. So, you may have noticed, but YCM cannot make Xyz Monsters. If you don't already know, there's a site called YugiCo that can produce Xyz Monsters. So basically, there's no point to even be on YCM anymore. You might as well leave now. I can't really take off points for just one mistake, though. Strength and Balance: 2/3 Well, it's pretty strong. No concern about it being underpowered. It's both slower in effect and weaker in ATK than other Rank 6's, but its ATK could theoretically climb high. In practice, though, it won't, because your opponent won't Special Summon. If I were to pick out a thing I don't like about, it's that the card-destroying effect has no limitations on what activates it or how many times per turn it can be used. Context: 4/4 Too tired to talk about this more...er, what I meant to say was: it fits the era well. Creativity: 4/5 Unique placement of effects, interesting, sure. Dr. Cakey
You know............Cakey, the card gives your opp. a monster to..............also it's not new that I suck at card grammer.
Giving your opponent a monster might actually make it even worse, but that's a complex discussion for another place and time. And, no, it isn't new that you suck at card grammar. That doesn't change the fact that you lose points based on that. But, whatever, you're not really bad, for the most part. You just need...something. Yeah, get...that...and then you'll be great.
Woot, I guess? Welp, congrats to - Neo - and newhat. I'm just happy I didn't lose. You've been a great host, Cakey (as far as I know). You should think about doing more of these.
I probably will, but not until November's over. Got a bit too much on my plate this month. Mmmm...plate...food...
