Tormented
Here is an idea, make a separate user group for those who want it and if they meet certain standards i.e certain post count, known in the forum as a decent person etc. They can send you a message and let you know that they want it. Smear
I vote #2. That was going to be my suggestion anyway.
Tormented
Then I'll go with two as well, makes life easier I suppose.
D.A._Sakuyamon
I vote for 2 as well. Aside from 4 it's the easiest solution.

bury the year
I'd tell you to ask Rinne (the mod of Creative Writing and Role Playing) but I'll save you the trip and tell you it's gonna be a no from him. I can probably just short of guarantee it. You're still free to ask of course, but I'd be really surprised if it was a yes from him.
No. Just to make it official. And supporting option #4 for profile backgrounds. If not that, then #1.
Bull3tM0nk3y
Well, I'll start learning whatever coding is needed for the card maker/fourms/what ever YCM needs if you guys want. Garthfunkle Vii Backwards
Voting for number 2: even someone like me will be able to promoted when I reach a certain number of posts. What will be the "certain number of posts" ?
Zelfore
Some of #1 (AKA; #5): I mean, why not just make it cost a large amount of points in the shop? Like, 20,000. (Four times the price of a colored topic.) I mean sure, active members could get it for having six stars, but if you think of it in point value, it becomes a much greater achievement. With how costly it would be, contests or giveaways could become more active. Dueling, Card Making, even One on Ones. Maybe just a bit of personal preference, but it'd be alot easier to keep track of people who bought such a pricey item than moving everyone into a special group. *shrugs*
ihop
I support 2, make it something like 200 posts or so.
Tormented
200 posts? No, that would mean every other member would be getting it. Is there anyway you can do it based on Rep? I dunno it seems like a more plausible concept than post count.
◇ Void ◇
I'll go for option number 2. 200 posts is too low however. I say it should be between 600 to 1000 posts to unlock profile backgrounds. As for Serenade's idea, people could just ask people for the reps to unlock it. Those ad bots would just spam-rep each other to unlock it. It would have to be post count or points to avoid this.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Those ad bots would just spam-rep each other to unlock it.
I thought there was a limit to the number of reps you can give each day? Like 5 or something? Anyway, I support #2 with a combination of post count and rep of sorts. Like perhaps 500~1000 Posts and 20+ Reps or something.
Tormented
There is a limit and thus it would take a little while to get it and besides if people want to spam to the reps then they can but surely that defeats the purpose of gaining the reps to receive said background as It should be taken as a milestone per say. Catterjune
If 2 is picked: It certainly wouldn't be 200 posts I'd lean more towards the 5000-10,000 post range. How many people have 10000 or more posts: 84 How many people have 5000 or more posts: 256 If 1 is picked It'd probably be around 15,000-20,000 point range. How many people have 20,000 or more points: 56 How many people have 15,000 or more points: 79 Anyway to do it on Rep: If there is, I haven't found it. Lt. Colonel Remo
Alright, for the record I'm voting option 2, but here's my question, WHY IS THERE A TAX FOR POINTS WHEN BUYING ITEMS FROM THE SHOP? WERE DOES THIS TAX/FEE POINTAGE GO? DOES IT JUST DISAPPEAR FOR ALL ETERNITY? WAS MY ONE POST LOST FOREVER?
.Exa
Number 2. 2500 posts seems like a good limit.

There is one for selling (5 percent) or trading (2.5). Niceness has a cost in this capitalist society. ... Price changes? Yes? No? Alternatively! Make it easier to get points? .Exa
Also, I just came up with this, but wouldn't it be nice if members could offer something in the shop. The real question is what, and how.

Tormented
This gives me more reason to re-open my shop so meh. But making things easy would just be pointless, keep it how it is, if people want to earn points then make it so they have to do things rather than just spamming posts all over the place. Night
Oh and we need more Themes, this YCM theme get's to dull. :L
Not going to guarantee anything but with Pika's approval and assistance I could most likely get a couple custom themes done for public usage and perhaps some locked themes that can be purchased through the shop, since it's apparent we need more items available for purchase. I've also seen the web design work that Rinne has done, and as a graphic designer was thoroughly impressed, perhaps we can collaborate.

There was also a tax for exchanging items to other people (5 percent, now 2.5) or selling them back to the store for quick points back (10 percent, now five). There was not a tax on any items purchased from here (as far as I know): http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/forum/25-shops/ Re: Themes I don't know much about themes because I'm an idiot.
