@ Mr.A

I always thought the Jedi were an organization of races that used mystical powers to keep the order and balanced, while sometimes bordering on Big Brother and the Siths similar, but as archaists and with FEELINGS.

@ Loki

Jar Jar I hated but the Gungans were f***ing cool. Sure they sounded funny but goddamn, if you used a dinosaur with space tech, your okay in my book.

Just like the Kroot, only not chicken people that ride on dinosaurs, eat people, and are mercs/bounty hunters.

Next up, Disney vs Google in buying almost anything they want.

As for Star Wars, as long as George Lucas stay away from the script duties it's all good. He's not a bad guy or a bad director but he suck on the script department.

About the prequels...I don't think I can say anything bad about it that the Red Letter Media hasn't. It was poorly construct and the political bit was clearly bad. If you want a war story with great political intrigue, check out the A Song Of Ice and Fire book series or the tv adaptation- Game Of Thrones. It showed both side of party and how politic affect wars. The prequels doesn't do s*** in that department, a senator from the dark side using both the Jedi and Sith as a way to gain more power? If anything, the prequels trying to say that giving that much power to someone is bad...and that's pretty much it. Even Avatar:The Last Airbender did a better job in the politic department.

As for the direction of the prequels...let's have Luke and co reestablish the Jedi Council and past the torch at the end of the trilogy. No this "we're trying to expand the universe with other character that has no relation to the main character" bullshit. And also the smoking hot redhead that will bear Luke's child. Also...I wonder what quirky eccentric character would Johnny Depp play.

Oh am I the only one who think EP 7 will be delay...somehow.. It felt like Disney rushed things without anything being already in the table.

Lucas is a saint.

I was outraged at first when I heard the news because I personally feel sad that Hollywood seems to be reviving and rebooting old franchises because they've run out of ideas for new good movies. And I always thought Star Wars had ascended into one of those franchises that should never be touched again because it was perfect the way it was.
So when I heard they were going to continue it, I immediately assumed the worst and stuff.

But then I learned Lucas originally planned for 9 episodes and he's remaining a creative consultant. And Marvel hasn't been "kiddified" since Disney bought it. Avengers was one of the best superheroes ever.
So I decided to be a little more open-minded about the situation and see for myself how it goes. But I'm definitely taking this with a grain of salt.

I'll admit: I was one of those kids that saw the prequels before I saw the classic trilogy, but came to like the classic one better over time.

But I agree with you completely. Open-mindedness is always a good thing to have when it comes to multimedia, especially nowadays.

They haven't toned down any of the stuff in Marvel and Star Wars is hardly adult fare anyway.

Yeah, this talk about "Star Wars getting soft" is kind of ironic.
