Haha yeah no one was expecting the Karma pick and then boom, penta.

Seriously though I think Nien was overacting a bit, he looked so happy after the game 1 win and then just started to breakdown.

And oh god, the Xpecial hooks <3 He really is overlooked IMO.

Yeah it seriously is crucial to invest in boots, you want to get tier 2's (e.g. sorc shoes) pretty much every game and tier 3's (enchantments) a lot of the time.

On a different note, what do you guys think of the feral flare addition in 4.5?

I honestly think it's not as bad as people say and it has brought back the popularity of junglers such as Nocturne which is nice.

Did I mention I'm only at Level 14? Okay, For a game first I get Spellthief's edge, for the gold build, and upgrade it twice. Next I try to get Zephyr, for attack speed boost. Third, Trinity Force, for, you know, all stats. Finally, a good gear like Phantom Edge. But that Athene's thing should work.

You're building Spellthief's, Zephyr, Trinity, and Phantom Edge

on AHRI?

...You have a lot to learn, my friend.
Let's go over where you're going wrong, shall we?

1. Spellthief's Edge

While I can see where you're coming from with this, it's primarily a support item (it builds as such), and Ahri is an Ability Power mid laner. A much better starting item would be Doran's Ring, since it gives 3 times the Ability power, +60 Health, and two different forms of restoring mana, all of which are extremely handy. Also, even ON a support, I rarely fully upgrade. Not worth it imo, as there are better support items.

Side Note- Just in case you aren't aware, the game is split into three different types of damage: Ability Power Damage, Attack Power Damage, and True Damage.

--Ability power damage is what most champions spells will use. In the case of Ahri, building ability power will make her spells extremely powerful, as they should be.

--Attack damage, while many champions have skills that scale with this, is primarily used on Auto-Attackers like AD Carries, where your basic attack does most of the damage.

--True Damage is a rare case, which only a few champions manage to use, which bypass all forms of armor or magic resist, dealing set amounts of damage.

2. Zephyr

This item is used not too often, but it does have its place. Just not on Ahri. Ahri's main sources of damage scale only with Ability Power, of which Zephyr provides none of. And the bonuses to Attack Speed are nearly useless on her.

3. Trinity Force

On some champs, like Jax, Volibear, or Ezreal, buffs to just about every stat work very well. However, not on a champ like Ahri. She's far better suited building pure Ability Power, since her role as an AP Mid means she needs to be able to nuke people really fast, esp. since all that damage comes at the price of no defenses.

4. Phantom Edge

...This isn't even an item. Unless you're trying to be clever and combine the two items Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge. And in both cases, they don't work well on Ahri at all for similar reasons as the Zephyr.

I recommend looking up some builds for Ahri on places like Mobafire, just so you can get the general idea about how to play and build her.
oh yeah, I hit Silver II the other day. The road to gold is looking ever so closer.

I also use this formula on Jinx, Miss Fortune or Twisted Fate. I pick Spellthief because I wanna gain gold fast. And my Zephyr + Phantom Edge thing is to hit enemy champs so fast they won't have time to run.

I also use this formula on Jinx, Miss Fortune or Twisted Fate. I pick Spellthief because I wanna gain gold fast. And my Zephyr + Phantom Edge thing is to hit enemy champs so fast they won't have time to run.

A few things here:

1. Jinx and MF are AD Carries, while Ahri and TF are mages. You should be building them completely differently.

2. Spellthief's doesn't actually get you gold that fast, because you have to spend money to initially get it. It's good on supports 'cause they don't farm at all, but as anyone else, it's better to just get things that give you more damage, and get money through minions. Doran's Ring's a better start, like Mako said. It gives you much more AP, plus health and mana regen.

3. Phantom Edge still isn't a thing, unless you mean Phantom Dancer+Infinity Edge

4. Like Mako said, Ahri uses ability power. Twisted Fate does too. The thing they're best at doing is building a crapton of AP, then one-shoting people. They don't really benefit from attack damage/attack speed stuff. Good stuff to build on Ahri/TF would be things like:

Rabadon's Deathcap (basically required on any AP mid, it gives you a LOT of damage)

Void Staff (You're building magic resist to counter me? lol idc)

Sorcerer's Shoes (See above)

Zhonya's Hourglass (For those times when you need to be 70% harder to kill. Plus you can rush Seeker's Armguard if you're against an AD mid)

Deathfire Grasp (Moreso on Ahri. This buffs all your magic damage to the target by 15%. Ahri's Charm does the same thing. So you charm someone, Deathfire them, and then you blow them up really quickly.

5. In case you want to know the reasons that Ahri and Twisted Fate are better as AP: First off, their abilities all scale off ability power. That means that building a ton of it will make them hurt. A lot. Plus, Ahri's Charm only enhances damage from her abilities, not from her autoattacks, meaning it's not as useful if you're building attack damage. Now, Twisted Fate can sorta be built as a bot lane AD carry, but it's not the best way to build him. He does more damage as an AP mid, and you can build a Lich Bane to make use of his autoattack-based abilities.

6. Now, at least Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge are good on Jinx and Miss Fortune. Again, you really shouldn't be building Spellthief's on anything besides supports. Especially not on an AD carry like these two, 'cause they don't benefit much from the ability power. Zephyr isn't the best item to build on them, though. The only real time you want to build one on an ADC is when you get 6 items. Then, you can sell your boots for a Zephyr, so you'll have more damage, and it'll still give you at least some movement speed.

7. If you're playing MF or Jinx (or any ADC), this is probably what you're gonna want:

Bloodthirster (As an AD carry, you need lifesteal to stay alive. This is a good first item to build, because you need to kill 30 minions to get it to maximum damage. It's mandatory on most ADCs.)

Berserker's Greaves (Only boots you should ever build on an ADC., except maybe Corki. Attack Speed is good)

Phantom Dancer (Did I mention attack speed is good? Jinx, MF, or any other ADC should have either this or Statikk Shiv)

Infinity Edge (Build this on every AD carry. No exceptions. It gives you HUGE amounts of damage)

Last Whisper (Becuase f*** armor)

Guardian's Angel (A good last item, having an ADC with two lives in a teamfight is beyond amazing)

Some ADCs also build specialty items like Blade of the Ruined King, Trinity Force, or Ruunan's Hurricane. But MF and Jinx don't. And CERTAINLY not Ahri and TF.

So yeah, sorry if you knew any of that or if I explained anything too obvious. But mate...din't play AD Ahri. Seriously.

@Mako: I should've probably added an IMO to that. First off C9's like 12-1 or something in the head-to-head vs TSM. Admittedly, a lot of that was before they picked up Bjergsen. Still, they haven't been able to do much against C9 even with him. Meteos is a better jungler than Oddone. He makes so many plays, and gets C9 going pretty much every game. And people always talk about how Dyrus is really consistent about at least going even in lane, and he is. Except against Balls. Now, that's at least sometimes because Meteos camps the hell out of him, but still. Plus, even though Bjergsen's probably a better player than Hai, Hai still gets things done and doesn't let Bjerg shut him down.

Basically, better teamwork, better jungler, TSM's best player can't shut down his lane opponent and hard carry. It's not like TSM isn't good or they can't beat C9, but C9's more consistent. The issue is really that TSM seems to have trouble when Bjerg and Dyrus can't win lane, which they somethimes can't vs C9.

For Ahri I would go with a Build of
Rabadon's Deathcap - Rod of Ages - Rylai's Crystal Scepter - Deathfire Grasp - Sorcerer Shoes. With the last slot going for any situational Item.

Starting Items:
- Doran's Ring + Potions
Rush:
- Boots =then=> Catalyst the Protector (Great Item Early) =then=> Fiendish Code
Then Start finishing the Core

What you gain from the Build?
First of all Ahri gain Required additional Life and Mana which are usefull to Ahri as she is kinda Squishy and mana hungry early game. For that Rushing Catalyst which also helps her sustain with that passive. Then adds a few Bonus stuff like Deathfire's Grasp Extra Damage or Rilay's Passive. Finally Raba pushes our AP up by a good amount.

Very well, I'll give it a shot, but if it doesn't work I'll go back to my own. Besides, game's over before my chosen champ even gets to level 18. Also, what's a good item for making gold fast?

But, even though he's a mage, TF makes lots of gold fast. This is why I build Zephyr, Spell thief and Trinity: Make lots of gold. Especially with his ability, Loaded Dice. With it I can make more gold, enough get some decent gear. I don't even bother with the ring as it doesn't build up into anything. Also, that was what I meant to say: Phantom Dancer.

Still, all that costs a hefty amount of gold, which is why I get Spellthief in the first place: To get gold faster.
