Macro Cosmos vs. Dimensional Fissure

Recommended Posts

Fissure is good for stopping threats you'll have on your turn, and lets you still go into your Xyzs without the problem of losing your cards. Cosmos is good for immediately responding to the opponent's moves, though it can be countered with Warning if the opponent really needs to. It also ensures your opponent's Xyz materials are banished.

Yeah, you probably meant D. Fissure.

Macro pros:
Can be chained to stop your opponent's plays and make them go minus (very important).
Also banishes Xyz Materials and Spell/Trap cards your opponent would want in the Graveyard (Aquamirror, GK Fusion, etc).
Summons Helios, if you're running that.

Fissure pros:
Faster. Stops your opponent's Veilers and the like.
Can't be Warning'd.

I guess it's a matter of personal taste, it also depends on wich deck you are running.

Is being countered by Warning such a drawback? Being able to chain to the opponent's plays is good, like Torrential is better than Dark Hole.
I generally play both, with Fissure as a hate magnet and a set Macro for a surprise return (and maybe an Helios. I cannot believe I use that thing again. I blame Xyz.)
Back when I played a couple Gren Maju, I would play 3 Macro and as many Fissure I could if I didn't have room for 3 and 3. Now it's more because the opponent can skip the problem using Xyz or sending monsters treated as spells. I forgot what I was saying...

D-Fissure is faster, allowing you to make plays without the threat of Veiler. It's also unaffected by Warning.

But Macro Cosmos is chainable, and locks out Inzektors, Wind-Ups, Verz and Constellar, and screws up Spellbooks, which D-Fissure cannot do as easily.
