Yatamoto32
Note: I don't have very many cards anymore as I ended up moving and most of them ended up being left somewhere. Also this deck is going to be used to fight a deck that uses The Winged Dragon of Ra and Synchro monsters. My collection of cards now is mostly from the middle of Yu-Gi-Oh! to the beginning/middle of Yu-Gi-Oh GX, as well as a few sporadic cards from the newer series. I am unfamiliar with the Synchros and Xyz's so I don't use them. Also there won't be any Side Decks. Monsters (25) Howling Insect x2 Nobleman-Eater Bug x2 Slate Warrior x1 D.D. Assailant x1 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom x1 Needle Worm x1 The Forgiving Maiden x1 Gemini Elf x1 Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer x1 Fox Fire x1 Charcoal Inpachi x1 Cyber Gymnast x1 Ancient Lamp x1 Golem Sentry x1 Gundari x1 Infernal Dragon x1 Luster Dragon x1 Vorse Rider x1 Beast King Barbaros x1 Royal Magical Library x1 Legendary Fiend x1 Insect Knight x1 The Winged Dragon of Ra x1 Spells (14) Mystical Space Typhoon x3 Tribute to the Doomed x1 Level Limit - Area B x1 Different Dimension Capsule x1 Pot of Greed x1 Monster Reborn x1 Lightning Vortex x1 Gravekeeper's Servant x1 Riryoku x1 Pot of Avarice x1 Change of Heart x1 Spell Absorbtion x1 Traps (21) Draining Shield x2 Magic Cylinder x2 Sakuretsu Armor x2 Trap Hole x2 The Transmigration Prophecy x1 Magical Arm Shield x1 Staunch Defender x1 Gravity Bind x1 Bottomless Trap Hole x1 Call of the Haunted x1 Metal Reflect Slime x1 Magic Jammer x1 Ordeal of a Traveler x1 Covering Fire x1 Judgement of Anubis x1 Spirit Barrier x1 Deck Devastation Virus x1 Total Cards: (60) Simple Strategy: Get out any monster, preferably Fox Fire, and combine it with Spirit Barrier. Get out Ordeal of a Traveler and Gravekeeper's Servant to protect my monsters, life points, and hopefully have opponent mill through their deck to get rid of Tuners and hopefully a Winged Dragon of Ra. This will also be helped out by Needle Worm's effect. If I get Infernal Dragon and Deck Devastation Virus in my hand I will play those to mill. If Ra ends up in the graveyard Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer will remove it from play and keep my cards where they belong. At any time, combine Gundari and Spirit Barrier together if the opponent ends up summoning a Synchro monster. Finally, have 3+ monsters on my field which can be tributed for my Ra. Last Resort: My last resort would be to play Level Limit - Area B and/or Gravity Bind to lock the field somewhat while I find Ra or Beast King Barbaros then use a Mystical Space Typhoon to get rid of either lock. Additional Notes: I was contemplating whether or not I should play Horus in this deck or add in Downgrade so I can attack with Gundari, Insect Warrior, Gemini Elf, Slate Warrior, or Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer if I have Gravity Bind out. Please let me know what you think of the deck, how playable it is, and some cards that I should add/take out. No mean comments please, all I want is constructive criticism. Synchronized
My first suggestion would be to take out the banned cards, and then I can help you from there
Love of Ghibli
I'm slightly confused? We can't really add anything because you either don't have it or are not willing to use it. So it limits the amount of feedback possible. Having said that...60 cards isn't really playable unless you just throw together all the herp derp loopyness and or full on anti meta shenanigans that pros use which in your case you do not. So having said that I guess we can drop the deck down to 40 and call it a day - 2 Nobleman Eater Bug - Fox Fire - Needle Worm - Cyber Gymnast - Ancient Lamp - Gundari - Legendary Fiend - Tribute to the Doomed - Level Limit - Different Dimension Capsule - Pot of Greed (Banned) - Gravekeeper's Servant - Change of Heart (Banned) - Spell Absorption - Draining Shield - Sakeretsu Armor (Just try to find D-prison it should be easy now) - Magic Arm Shield - Staunch Defender - Gravity Bind - Magic Jammer - Metal reflect Slime - Covering Fire - Spirit Barrier - Deck Devistation Virus I don't really know what's left after all of that but yeah. Also I suggest you go to the tutorial section on deck making. its a pretty good read and it would help you gain a lot of focus with these collection of cards. Yatamoto32
@Thunder Spark: this deck is just for fun so banned cards wouldn't be an issue. I like any kind of feedback. If you say that I should have a specific card, then I will look into it and see if it fits my normal style of duelling. @Beginning446: I live near a Shinder's so I can buy certain cards if they are to my liking. Thanks for the help! ^__^ Oh and also I should note that the 2 Howling Insect that I have are to special summon the 2 Nobleman Eater Bug
jabber2033
If you want to have a decent deck, I suggest buying three copies of any one Structure Deck and building a 40-card deck out of those, throwing in the staples. The staples are: 2-3 Mystical Space Typhoon Monster Reborn Dark Hole Heavy Storm 2 Torrential Tribute 2 Solemn Warning Solemn Judgment Really, anything would be better than what you currently have. I'd recommend the Atlantean deck or the Dark World deck. Both decks work well, but Atlanteans really need a decent Extra Deck (Synchros and Xyzs) to really be competitive. Don't get the Six Sams deck because Six Sams need Kagemushas, Asceticisms, and Shi En to be competitive. You can still duel casually with them, but again, if you want to get anywhere in tournaments, you'll have to buy a few extra cards.
Yatamoto32
@jabber2033: You didn't read what I wrote did you? This is a deck to combat Ra and Synchro Monsters. If I wanted a better deck that could be used in any situation I would have made one. Thanks for the suggestion.
Sander
Guess what? Nobody runs Ra because it sucks. So yeah, that automatically makes your deck pointless.

Synchronized
If you'd like some genuine tips, I can try and re-work it a bit for you. The first thing I would do is cut it down to 40-42 cards. The draws become much more consistent and you get much quicker access to the essentials. On top of that, if you said you're not playing by any Forbidden/Limited Lists, it would make sense to max out Pot of Greed, in addition to any of the other Forbidden cards you're running. Try and focus somewhat more on a theme. If the theme is Beatdown, then I can come up with something more smooth for you.
Yatamoto32
Ok thanks. that really helps. I can go to shinders and try and find more POGs and the others. Um there really is no theme except to quickly take down the opponents cards.

Yatamoto32
yes but the way i have the deck structured it doesn't really count as beatdown since im trying to prevent only 1 card from ever being played.
gimmepie
If you want a simple beatdown strategy for countering a Ra deck here's my suggestion. Scrap this completely and start fresh using these cards. Tyrants Throes, Imperial Custom, Light of Intervention, A Legendary Ocean, High ATK (WATER) level 5's like Terraking Salmon and Mobius the Frost monarch, Rescue Rabbit, Divine Dragon Aquabizarre and then using the rest of the cards in your possession build a 40-45 card deck around that. Make sure to include recycling cards like Salvage and draw cards like Moray of Greed and Pots of Greed and Avarice. Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry and Ancient rules could also help. Why: With those first three traps in play he won't be able to summon effect monsters at all (neither will you). BUT with your ocean on the field you will easily be able to summon cards like Mobius and Terraking to maul him with. Rabbit can be used for XYZ summoning easily since normal monsters can still be special summoned (gem-knight pearl). You could also run Diva and airorca/[insert atlantean here] for quick sychros when you don't draw into your traps for the lockdown. Note: Mobius is actually level 6 not 5 so the Ocean tactic won't work as well on him. Still worthy of mention for his effect though however a different monarch like Raiza or Caius would work just as well if not better.
Yatamoto32
Thanks that helps alot. What are some good synchros to use in an anti synchro deck?

ihop
If you're not worried about playing banned cards you may as well play as many as possible.
