The only thing I kinda find iffy about this card is that its effect only works on a monster in deffence when most games involve having monsters in ATK unless the opponent using flip effect monsters like Ryko or Snowman Eater which would destroy the Photon Butterfly.

[s]If you use this on the set Ryko or Snowman Eater, I believe their effects don't activate unless I'm wrong.[/s]

nvm this post.

Id use this before 50

50 has a lot less utility than this and I dont get why people think 50 outweighs this

50 is equal to or less than Papilloperative
I'm biased because Agents can easily get both Blackship and Gachi out, and being able to send Stardust Dragon by Blackship and still OTK your opponent is quite nice.

50 Outweights this due to how 50's effect can take out a monster and then inflict a 1000 point burn and if you give 50 a power boost from say "Axe of Dispare" making it ATK 3100 which then allows it to destroy any monster with 3100 ATK or less making it that little bit more versitile than Photon Butterfly.

Are you seriously that terrible at this game?

No papilloperative is better. Papilloperative gets you to the same goal more often than not and usually increases the damage. The butterfly can also combo with Maestroke.

The chance of your opponent setting a monster is far more likely than the chance of them having something 2100 or less. In order for 50 to be as versatile as Butterfly it needs support in the form of a Forbidden Quickplay Spell or something else to boost its ATK or hinder the opponents ATK.

Chump blockers are about the only time that 50 does it better and Papilloperative can get the job done just fine there.Of course you should run both if you have space but butterfly before corn

I stopped reading after that.

Anyways, Papi has a few things over Number 50 (or will most likely have anyway):
It's cheap to get
It's LIGHT

Black corn with Agents though...that's quite something, especially if you're able to bring out not 1 but 2 Gachis for a 2900 monster that hand picks off other monsters like a boss

In DN though, Black Corn > Papi. Zemaines is still Zenmaines...and so is Maestroke.

Hi there Brandon. See, I knew I was right!

OT: Can we just say that each Rank 4 that we have out right now fulfills its said purpose in the format? Papilloperative stops [s]Ryko/Snowman[/s]/Geargia, Maestroke is a free BoM, Shock Master trolls hard with effect negation, I honestly don't know what Silvermountain does because I haven't looked at it yet, and Utopia sucks, outside of chaos fodder.

I was only using it as an example of any type of power boost, what did you want me to use Axe of Fools. >_>
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Forbidden_LanceIts pretty well known and is obviously superior to a random equip spell.

Believe it stops Ryko, too, as it would miss timing to activate, but I'm not entirely sure on that. I'm told they ruled such at a YCS but I haven't cared enough to research it.
I think if it says "FLIP:", it's a mandatory effect. Both Ryko and Snowman have this clause, but Geargiarmor misses timing because it states "When...you can".

Snowman doesn't say "FLIP:", it says in the effect "When this card is flipped face up..."
