Speak

The book "Speak" ( by Laurie Halse Anderson) is about a girl who struggles to fit in high school. She is like the outcast, and she does not seem to care. She has a really big secret that makes it the book much clearer. I don't want to say what because that would be a spoiler; but let's just say she suffers through so much hatred from the other students. When you read this notice that she gives symbols, and if you keep track of them they make sense when you finish the book. Basically I think that this book speaks a lot about the problems that happen in high school. And tho I have never really been through what she has some people have; and I just felt like this book was a master peace. Not only does it make you understand her feelings, and emotions; but it really shows why some people can be distant, and why you should never judge someone. You never really know what they have gone through. Having said this I open the discussion.
