It's a steel type made of multiple pokémon. There are only three families I can associate with that; the Magnemite family, the Nosepass family (with Probopass) and the Beldum family. As the first two have been rejected; I'm forced to believe it to be Metagross.

Magneton/Magnezone, Probopass and Metagross were the only ones I could think of even from the first riddle; if it isn't one of them lot, I give up on this one.

Indeed, it is Magnemite. See, whilst I DID describe Magneton's shape; it is known that a Magneton is made of 3 Magnemite bonded together by their combined magnetic force. So, I was describing each of the individual Magnemite, as opposed to the whole Magneton.

I was making you THINK Magneton, because the description made you think so. This would cause you to ignore the fact that I was speaking in singular, and not plural.

The only reason I didn't guess Magnemite earlier was because Magneton was already guessed. I knew that the answer had to be of the single pokemon, because the riddle was obviously talking in that way, which is why I guessed Beldum instead of Metagross. What finally tipped me off was the waves part. I finally made the link to Thunder Wave when I read it through.

This Pokemon is very talented at using all kinds of machines. (this should be easy)
