I'm quite surprised that there isn't any threads on Radiohead.
But anyways my favorite albums they did were Kid A and Amnesiac
My favorite songs by them are Idioteque, Like Spinning Plates, Paranoid Android, Street Spirit, Lucky and 2+2=5

There was one but nobody viewed it and there's one or two replies.

For me, Kid A and In Rainbows are masterpiece and flawless . Anyway, if you LOVE Radiohead, try Massive Attack, Portishead, Metric and while Deftones is a metal band, their vocalist did a side project name Crosses and it has that same trip/alternative sound.

I know all of those bands except for Crosses, I might look it up

Can second †††. Its style is more on the conventional end of the Radiohead spectrum (i.e, closer to Hail to the Thief than Kid A) but they're still pretty damn good. I'd recommend †his is a †rick and Prurien† by them.

BUT YES ABOUT RADIOHEAD. My "best three songs of each album" list. Five absolute favorites are underlined:
• Pablo Honey: Haven't listened to this fully yet, and the few songs I've heard I don't like.
• The Bends: Planet Telex, Fake Plastic Trees, Street Spirit
• OK Computer: Let Down, Karma Police, Climbing up the Walls
• Kid A: Optimistic, Idioteque, Motion Picture Soundtrack
• Amnesiac: Pyramid Song, You and Whose Army?, Like Spinning Plates
• Hail to the Thief: 2+2=5, There There, Scatterbrain
• In Rainbows: All I Need, Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Videotape
• The King of Limbs: Bloom, Codex, Separator

But Creep is AWESOME. Also, Pablo Honey's probably the most accessible to new listener.

Creep is one of the songs I hate. Just never found it appealing. Call me crazy.

YOU CRAZY PEOPLE!!!

Haha, it's ok. Normally it's like this:

If you listen to Radiohead from the start-Pablo Honey, chances are, you'll probably like almost all of their album with either a.) Ok Computer as the best album or b.) Kid A as the best album.

If you started Radiohead with any other album but Pablo Honey then chances are, you'll like their more trip-esque album, ie Kid-A, In Rainbow, The King Of Limbs.

*ahem* That was my thread.

I love Radiohead, OK Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac are my faves. Pablo Honey is alright, but the worst Radiohead album in my opinion. I also like In Rainbows, but I disagree on it being a masterpiece. I'd put Hail to the Thief above it actually.

Also haven't checked out Crosses, though I've known about them for awhile. I'll check them out Is Team Sleep any good?

I thought I was the only one who liked Amnesiac
It was their lowest rated album or something like that

I would also throw out as a suggestion, Underworld
But they are way more electronic music inspired
But they do have that sort of hypnotic/trippy feel that's heard in some of radiohead's songs

It's got some of my faves. The Amnesiac version of Morning Bell creeps the heck out of me though, can't listen to it at night haha.

I'll check out Underworld, I like that stuff when it's done well, and preferably if it's kinda dark-sounding. I think happy electronica sounds kinda cheesy a lot of the time.

Really, woooow.... seems like we have the same taste in music then. I like Team Sleep a little bit better but they sound more like a mix mash of Deftones' Saturday Night Wrist and Ok Computer/The Bends while Crosses as Raine describe, closer to Hail to the Thief, a bit for metalic and glossy though.

It's not really too dark, it can sound kinda a little bit dark with some of their songs. But other ones are more uplifting.
Songs like Between Stars, Jumbo, and Dirty Epic would work out.
I personally wouldn't describe it as dark but it has some sort of hpynotic/trippy feel in their lyrics

We do seem to have similar taste in music~ I'll check out both of them, Chino seems to only put out quality stuff.

Also do you just not get on until really late or do you live across the globe from the US? You never seem to post when I'm awake, haha.

Nah, from New York and it's my second sem so I'm only here whenever I'm doing my assignment so it's either early in the morning or late at night so I wont have to do anything other than sleep after my assignment are done.

It's not technically Radiohead but Thom York did play this song live several of time when they're touring with Bjork and it's a good song.

Also, RIP to Radiohead's drummer who died in a stage collapse. My friend was supposed to be at the show and he was super excited. Show was cancelled of course.

My mistake, got the wrong info. The drum tech died, not Phil the drummer.

But it still sucks though, dude's only 33.
