moderatin has nothing to do with cards frunk practicaly never made a realistic cards before and hes still the mod
I was just cheking off things others had posted on what it would take to become a mod. Even if it isn't a requirement, I say being able to give proper advice to others on card making is something a mod should have.

Anyone who has made claims in this thread that they could be a mod can not be a mod.

Why do you say that?

Moderation is more about your reputation around the site than our ability to make cards, If your well known, mature, and half literate you could be a mod really. But in the end its the existing fourm moderation teams call.

A very good point.

It's a bit immature to ask such a thing' date=' also, Dan and myself never requested Mod status, YCM just saw the potential in us, that and we were active and positively contibuting to the site (this all occoured on the old YCM site).

Poc, even though having made barely 100 posts, could quite easily be a Mod thanks to that positive attitude.

Being a mod requires not just the previous things but as well you need to be able to make wise and/or painful choices, A good charisma with others, adding just the right amount of enforcement to the rules set to keep the peace. (Have, been and hated my job as a mod on different forums)

How was my question immature? I wanted to know why he would say that the reason one shouldn't be a mod is so simple, "A person who says he wants to be a mod, can't be one", and that the person would not be considered for the position.

If you think you have the potential to be a mod, then, more than likely, you'll become a mod. Please don't flame me either, you don't want to turn into me, do you?!

Okay, so first:

To answer your question Kaze, I think Falling meant that those who request said status are demeaning themselves by asking such a question, and are thus, not going to receive moderator status.

Second: For those of you that are asking whether you have the potential to be a moderator, but "Do not want to be one," STOP ASKING. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE A MOD, DON'T ASK IF YOU HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO. IT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT IMPORTANT THEN. AND SERIOUSLY, YOU'RE ON A FRICKING YU-GI-OH! SITE. IF YOU CAN'T BE HONEST ABOUT YOURSELF HERE, YOU CAN'T BE HONEST ABOUT YOURSELF ANYWHERE.

Third: IT IS NOT YOUR, IT IS YOU'RE. That reallllllyyyyy gets on my nerves. A few years ago, no one made that mistake. Now, some moron says it, and the world is all "your a n00b" and crap like that.

Fourth: Do you think I have what it takes to be a mod? I don't want to be one, just wondering whether I have what I need to be one..........................................................................................

PSYCHE
