[-Griffin] Untamed Archetype

The Untamed Archtype is a series of monsters with varying types and attributes. Their theme is that, while their effects are extremely powerful, the opponent can choose which of their effects activate. Their goal is to try and Synchro Summon their boss monster, Mindmaster of the Untamed, to give the choice of which effect activates to their controller, but is made difficult by the fact they naturally give their opponent control of their field. They tend to do best when lots of cards are in play, making them able to make the best out of any of their opponent's choices. This makes cards like Reckless Greed and Zepharos the Elite possible tech choices for them, and 1-for-1 removal like Bottomless Trap hole and Mystical Space Typhoon more risky options.

'Untamed' monster's effects do not usually affect the opponent's cards, but involve drawing, Summoning, adding to hand, and rearranging the Deck. This means that Untamed-centric Decks will often have to rely on generic Xyz or Synchros, or 'tech' cards in the main Deck. Their other option to attack the opponent's field is their secondary boss, Cntekkodt, who can clear an opponent's card every turn, or the opponent can choose to get rid of him and every card they control.

Many of the monsters do not reference other 'Untamed' monsters and could be interesting and viable tech choices in some Decks, evolving the game by more than just introducing a new Deck.

So basically, they are Untamed because you can't select what to do with them. Overall, I like the archetype, makes your opponent really think. There are a few OCG errors here and there, but I really like the cards. A more detailed analysis will come later (probably tommorowish).

Well ,the Archetype seems pretty much cool, and I like it. As mentioned above, it makes your opponent think and that's cool. Also, it indirectly can help you to get the kind of strategy your enemy has before hand if he's not savvy enough.
A specific example: You play "Untamed Summoning"; a savvy player would pick the first effect, as for the "Rule of Level 4 ATK and DEF", they assure it's pretty likely to be a monster under the 2000 ATK/DEF; a non savvy player that has a wash spell (I think on Dark Hole, for example) or a monster with a wash effect (Levia-Dragon - Daedalus comes to my hand) would pick the latter, specially if he thinks you could use the chance to bring a high level monster. Also, if you're savvy enough, you'd pick a monster with a Special Summon ability (the first effect) or send to graveyard a card that has better effects there and also pick a low level monster with a destruction Special Summon ability(i.e. you can SS when it leaves the field) with the second effect. Also, "Untamed Necromancy"; If your rival's savvy he would prefer to face one monster now rather than 3 monsters later; the same non-savvy player than before would pick the second effect, specially considering those monsters won't attack that turn (as they'll be summoned on the End Phase).

Now, thinking on the "Dreadful 6"

P2P interaction: The goal of this card, IMHO, seems to be "Use your rival's play against him", as technically he plays your effects, based on his strategy, and you must use that choices as it suits you. The most of the cards have effects that can sketch how's going your rival's strategy. A savvy player would have a hard time to pick up the effects, as they would notice how those choices can telegraph his strategy to you. So, +2 for P2P (+1 for equal playing, +1 for psyching)

Game Dynamics: With the proper support, this archetype can cancel your rival's strategy, but also it can also cost you a winning hand, so no SS here. This makes any card you play a duel itself, where he shoots and you reply (given the fact that the card allows you to handle the effect the rival choose; there are a couple of exceptions). Even if you are winning, he can still pick up his strategy with your card. Lame Ducks are shot down after this and the Untamed get +2 for GD (+1 for slope blocking, +1 for Shoot the Lame Duck)

Non-Randomness: The only random you could have is picking up an unprepared opponent, as he would probably think "What a noob, he choose cards I control!", only to get a kick in the deck (would this slang pick up?) for being so egocentric. The cards can only be played well if you have skill and a good support. In fact, luck is out of place here: 10% the card you pick, 40% your rival's strategy, 50% your own skill. That's luck factor minimized, as no matter the Untamed you pick, it still depends on your rival and the support you give it on your deck. I say +1 for NR.

In-Duel play: So far, no Untamed card has an instant win and even the most powerful of the archetype can succumb against several decks. A player don't wait for a sudden winner, instead it is too focused on the now. IDP gives the Untamed a +1.

Skill Factor: As mentioned before, a good player would pick the effects you do based on how would they affect him later, while bad player would just pick the one that seems to be hurting you and then forget it; it goes for you, as your play could be hurt if the card lack the good support. Although your cards have a good support actually. So, +1 for SF here.

Starting Conditions: If you play against your clone(this is how I consider this point), no matter the deck your clone has, this deck will always be on the same league, as your play would technically be half his play and half looking how to revert it. I give it a +1 in SC for that.
+8 on the Dreadful 6. That's cool. I'll also add +1 on Originality (as in "Why didn't I think about this?") and +1 on Game Enhancement (this cards go beyond just being good for play, as they might encourage people to create better sets).

It give this archetype +10. I encourage Konami to make a set of this cards... although I encourage to make them Super Rare: Untamed vs Untamed might end up in an L-Kira level of tension (also known as "Mutual Mind-Rape") and must only be done with a team of paramedics in both players' stands.

There, I did it. Now, pay me back: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/289767-rsf-original-xander-mac/#entry6026191

Mmm... That's hard... Let's see:
You have a deck browsing Trap, a defense trap (I would add a counter-strike trap, just to fulfill the set), a graveyard spell, a drawing spell, a summon spell (an equip spell might be a good add), a normal effect monster, a tuner monster, a flip effect monster, a variable power monster, a hand effect monster, a search effect monster, a summon effect monster, a double effect monster, a banish effect monster, a draw effect monster, a destruction effect monster (and a pretty powerful one) and the synchro powerhouse that can short down the opponent's choice. I would add a fusion or an XYZ, but that's up to you. I like this deck and can't wait to see images for this cards.
