Your favorite romance(s)?

You may or may not know this, but I'm a sucker for romance. I've seen all sorts of anime and read various manga, and I've got a few favorites.

My top favorite is Toradora! The romantic comedy (things get pretty serious and emotional as you get further, though) featuring Ryuuji--the nice guy clean freak with the delinquent face--and Taiga--the violent loli tsundere. I was honestly crying in the end, it was so good. TT^TT

A very close second is Zero no Tsukaima's Saito and Louise (also a violent loli tsundere). I'm not sure what was harder for Saito, fighting an army of 70,000 alone, or dealing with Louise, but the ending was worth it. So happy. I cried at that one, too. TT^TT

Third, which I find sort of weird, myself, is OHSHC's manga, with Tamaki and Haruhi. I probably would've cried, if not for the nature of the manga, which set out to make those eye-wateringly happy moments last as shortly as possible.

Honorable mention goes to Shakugan no Shana's Yuji and Shana (dem loli tsunderes, mang). The whole thing was more serious than the others, so while the romance was great I was kind of busy with everything else that was going on.

What about you guys?

First thought at seeing the title. I personally liked Minorin the most out of the females. It was a good show to watch with the girlfriend.

Other shows I'll mention that arent strictly romance anime, but have romance as a major plot point:

Beck: Koyuki & Maho were relatable and i wanted to see them together. Also my favourite song from Beck is "Moon on the Water" with is thematically tied to their relationship.

Spice & Wolf: the romance goes from subtle little jabs at each other to assuming their more or less a couple. It's very entertaining watching them play off each other.

Well, my favorite romances would be Clannad and Kanon (2006). What I have to say is that even after watching them I cried. Clannad stays at my favorite anime while beforehand Kanon made me cry much, much more. I was younger, but I have to think real hard over if that is the reason.

Acchi Kocchi for having the comedy in a romantic comedy much more important, though it wouldn't be very good at all in my eyes if this particular one hadn't had romance as the reason it even seems to exist.

Manga wise Hayate the Combat Butler. I know harems probably don't tell the romance as good, but it's my favorite manga so therefore it's my favorite romance manga.

The last 2 are more comedic but... it wouldn't really be them without any sort of romance.

Ok so when it comes to romance 2 anime's and couples spring to mind.

Le Portrait de Petit Cossette, the pairing of Eiri and the spirit of Cossette is the first that came to mind, if you've not seen it watch it 3 episodes in all but with more plot twists than in a spiral stair case.

My second anime and pairing is Li Showron (syaoran) and Sakura in card captors, need I say more?

Then you sir are an uneducated bufoon when it comes to anime.

Also on topic Romeo x Juliet is 1 well told retelling of the classic bittersweet love story.

My anime preferences are generally based around dark stuff, so I don't see a WHOLE lot of romance stuff. And the ones I do see generally end with the girl dying...like in Code Geass. :<

My personal preference anime wise is for the darker anime, however when you watch with a female friend that your crushing on you do tend to watch romantic stuff.

Why did i forget Bakuman?
Fukuda is my favourite char from there because he shipped his friends.
Best couple from Bakuman imo has to be Shujin/Miyoshi.
Then main couple? .......well, damned if their love isnt the purest thing on Two Earths

Shibuimaru Takuo and the Nameless Woman, both from Episode 1 of Death Note.

It was so heartrending when Takuo was hit by the truck. His pure feelings of love...I'll never forget him and his beautiful face. Not to mention his silky, charming voice.

Are you talking about the guy who tried to rape a woman right outside a convenience store?
