During each of your opponent's standby phases, put 1 "Level" counter on this card. Neither player can normal summon, set, or special summon monsters that have a higher level than the number of "Level" counters on this card. You can only activate 1 "Leveled World" per duel. I wanted something that could mess with all the swarm decks we have been getting, and this fits the bill. Discuss Link to comment

Maybe if they got 4-7 counters per turn, but 1 puts this on the level of lockdown. Not to mention the 'winmore' aspect in that you'd only even activate it when you have a strong field, since it stops you Summoning. Link to comment

[/quote] Removed the invulnerability, and gave the opponent the same effect as the user. Is it better now? Link to comment
newhat Posted September 15, 2012 Report Share Posted September 15, 2012 When this card is activated, it is an instant Dark Hole. It is abusable with Final Countdown or burn cards, or with Wind-Up Rabbit and Verz Thunderbird, or with something that's not destroyed by its effect (a Spellcaster targeted with Spellbook of Wisdom, for instance), since your opponent will not be able to throw out monsters against it. Also, it is searchable with Terraforming and Planet Pathfinder. I don't know how to fix the counter effect, but the destruction could hit only monsters with 2000 ATK or more, which would still be powerful but would have an anti-Meta vibe. Link to comment
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW Posted September 15, 2012 Report Share Posted September 15, 2012 Both players still have to wait about 6 turns in order to play a single Monster Card. There's slowing down the game, then there's going Blizzard Dragon and freezing everything after a free Dark Hole. While Final Nobattlephasedown, Explodia, and Foreverstall exist, this will be technically a new and improved Gravity Bind for them to use (which is also why MST @3 is a good thing), and even if they didn't exist, this would be really annoyingly slow. If you want to slow down Summoning, just slow it down a bit and don't encase everything in ice. Having to wait a turn for No-Tributes and 2-3 for stuff like boss monsters should be slow enough. And lose the Dark Hole part. Link to comment
