Just Crouton
Batman. He's one of the world's greatest detectives (in every continuity,) and has gadgets to battle every character he's met (ex: Having kryptonite in case Superman turns evil.) EDIT: Now that I think of it, after Batman beats Spider-Man, Spider-Man could just make a deal with Mephisto to retcon his defeat. Expelsword
Batman is a normal human Spiderman is much more agile and stronger than a human. What gadgets will Batman prepare for Spiderman?
Fusion X. Denver
Too even. Batman's better in close combat, but Spider-Man can easily counteract with webbing and Spider-Sense. I think it'd be a case like with Batman vs Captain America; one just barely trumps the other and the same result isn't guaranteed in a rematch. Shradow
It depends. Does Batman have any sort of preptime? In any case, Spiderman can lift an upward of 10 tons, and he's really fast. However I think the main issue is his Spider-Sense. It would allow him to avoid anything thrown at him and it would be the deciding factor in his victory. Grunt Issun
Batman is a normal, but extremely fit, human being. His suit is very durable, and can in fact, be used as a single, giant tazer. His main element is stealth, and his gadgets. It's fair to say that, given time to prepare he can defeat almost any opponent. In this case, however, we're assuming that neither side had any preperation. Spider-man is a super human. He can lift more than 10 tons at a time, is extremely resiliant, taking a grenade to the face once, extremely fast, being able to dodge AUTOMATIC GUN FIRE, with the help of his Spider Sense, which gives him OMNIPRESENCE of the area around him, meaning he can sense the tiniest of things happening nearby. The only way to fool the Spider Sense, is if Peter does NOT think that what he's detecting is a threat. Further more, Spidey's webs are tough, to say the least. Thick Spider Silk, as thick as he shoots it, can be very, VERY durable. It MAY be hard fought, but in the end, Batman's best weapon, stealth, is eliminated by Spidey's Spider Sense. He's outclassed physically in every area, and Peter is known for being a genius himself, just like Bruce.

Justice Master
Let me put this very simply: We are pitting two very intelligent people against each other. While Batman is smarter, he is not stronger, not faster, and works off of surprise. Because of the Spidy-sense, Batman cannot win, even with prep time. If Batman is given prep time, so would Peter and he'd be able to easily take advantage of Batman's humanity. I mean, I LOVE Bats, but this is a battle he just cannot win. Expelsword
Batman could outprep Spider-man, the problem is, he's not as foolish as some of Batsy's rouges gallery. He'd need some sort of anti-Spider Sense gizmo to start, and even then, Spidey's very fast and strong.
Dwarven King
Peter is Naive, something Bruce could exploit. All it would take is for Bruce to find out Peter's weakness. Why? Because he's not afraid to do the unthinkable to accomplish his goal. EXAMPLE: Batman rigged Darkseid's planet to blow to a million pieces even though Wonder Woman, Superman, and himself were still on the planet. Darkseid punched him, threw him through walls, etc. But he still refused to deactivate the Hellspores until Darkseid released Super Girl. Long story short. Batman will eff your shit up to get what he wants.
The Amazing Avian
Spidey. I like Batman more, but Batman's speed and reaction time are inferior to Spider-Man's. On top of that, Spider Sense trumps everything Batsy can throw at him.
