Question to Mods Primarily

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I plan on having a contest soon. Straight forward, yes? The complicated part is that Im also planning on writing a story here, and the winner(s) will have their card(s) featured in that story, and would be able to submit a character to use them. I wanted to be sure I wouldn't be stepping toes on any rules, or if Its happened before, then how it was done. Can anyone help?

I can at least tell you that the story aspect of the idea won't be breaking any rules. However, I can't speak for the card contest angle.

I haven't seen a rule against this from the card contest angle, since it is considered a prize. I coukd be wrong, but I haven't heard or read otherwise.

All right, thanks. Like I said, I wanted to make sure. I also appreciate the advice on waiting, and perhaps I will. While this is here, I'll ask another question; I had an idea to start a 'Contest Club', for anyone who enjoys contests. The members would pool their resources in offering planning assistance for contests, adding points to a contest they like to grow the prize and potentially draw more to it, and offer some 'always ready' judges for people who havent had much experience with starting contests. Again, checking to make sure it doesn't break or bend any rules.

There aren't that many rules in C/O, and type of club restrictions aren't one of them. I don't see any problem with a ckub like that, but waiting until you're known is a good option. However, you can make it if you want.

I haven't seen anything in the rules that prohibits this. Honestly, I haven't seen anything like this. If I were you, I would wait until you are more known before you try this.
