-Griffin
|Necronated Guardna Legion| |DARK/Zombie|Level 3|0 ATK|2100 DEF| |During either player's turn you can banish this card in your Graveyard and two other monsters in your Graveyard. Skip the next Battle Phase. If this effect is activated during the Battle Phase, end the Battle Phase immediately.| Rulings: Can be activated any time except during damage calculation. If activated after the Battle Phase, will skip next player's Battle Phase. Removing the monsters from play is not a cost. Effects that activate on this trigger will not miss timing, because the skipping battle phase effect doesn't change anything immediately. It's 3 for Levair, because RFG shinanigans. Because I want Miracle Dig Zombies to be a more viable Deck. Would people run DDR in that Deck? Getting Mezuki back seems worth it. Link to comment
Bringerofcake
I could totally see this in Lightsworns as well, maybe even replacing Necro Guardna. The only issue I have is that it gives Final Countdown a lot more to work with, as now the Scarecrows and warning'd Battle Faders are super not dead. Link to comment
-Griffin
I can see where you're coming from with the Countdown thing, but I rather dislike balancing around Decks that shouldn't exist anyway. I'd rather balance in a format where Countdown/Exodia, at the very least, is banned. Could be cool LS tech, yeah. I imagine they want to avoid RFGing their 'sworns if they don't have multiple copies in Grave, for JD. It would probably become a matter of preference. How do you see it in Zombies? Link to comment
Bringerofcake
How do you see it in Zombies?
...eh. If you want to make BanishZombies a thing, make more Zombies that benefit the player upon banishing them. It's a good idea, making generic support that fits in with the theme, but the zombies that are played are almost entirely grave-based, and the ones that aren't are either limited and only support the grave theme (Mezuki) or played rarely anyway (Shutendoji). So it's eh, but needs more BanishZombies to really shine. Link to comment
-Griffin
I can see where you're coming from, I'm just cautious of overpowering them, since RFG-Recovery already has crazy-strong interaction with Mezuki. Perhaps something like... |Eternally Resting Ghoul| |Zombie/DARK/L3|0 ATK|1800 DEF| |If this card is banished, you can return a face-up card from both player's side of the field to the owner's hand.| Or |The King of the Land Forgotten to History| |Zombie/DARK/L3|1400 ATK|1400 DEF| |During your End Phase you can flip this banished card and 1 of your other banished Zombie-type monsters face-down to draw a card.| Either of those seem to work better? Bringerofcake
I REALLY like the idea of King, as flipping cards face-down while banished is something that is rarely, if ever touched upon in the game. I think maybe two cards take advantage of the mechanic. Both cards are good, and both are excellent support, but I think you should expand on the facedown while banished idea. Link to comment
-Griffin
I'm not sure about expanding on it as a concept. It's just a way to fill the role RFG used to have of 'being removed from the game' - few things can target a face-down RFG'd card. I feel it would defeat the point to make 'support' that can Summon it or flip it up again/ect. Some other cards that use the mechanic as a cost could make sense, though. Link to comment
Bringerofcake
That's pretty much what I was thinking, for pretty much the same reason you just said. Link to comment
