While it might seem cool to make a deck around it, I have yet to find a decent way to do so. While you might be "not losing any advantage" by playing the card with something like Malice Doll or Survivor in the right build, you are also not accomplishing much either. The opponent is more than likely either going to swarm the field and pick off their worst cards with it, or deal a boat load of damage to you and then let this card finish you off. It's never really been shining too much. and the Tribute seems mandatory. If anything, it's about you taking advantage of Sangan, that Cricket that Special Summon something from the hand (if it doesn't miss the timing), Survivor, Scout Plane, or Malice Doll whenever possible, while having your opponent slowly eat his/her monsters away every turn. Plus a little unimportant extra damage bonus. ^of course, that's for a slower format. Even with the resent changes in the list that fixed problems, I don't think the format is slow enough. My opponent always had an out to it, and if they didn't in the form of some sort of monster trick, they just used MST on it. Meanwhile I was left with a crappy 1600/1700 beater and having dealt only 800 damage to my opponent with a 2-card combo, or in the case of Survivor if you used that instead, a 3-card combo that dealt 900. Or Nimble walls with Manta, and that new Fish thing whose name I don't remember. Lich Lord King of the Underworld could also just go back to your hand while getting you 1200 damage worth. Though getting a constant and consistent Tribute for it would be a bother to find. Magic Reflector sounds like a lousy way to protect it, but then again, using Ectoplasmer to begin with is a little out there on itself so, might as well suggest it anyways.
