I got the official magazine, a bunch of posters, action figures, all manga novels, most of the Buu Saga on video and DVD, my dad even somehow got Kyle Hebert to autograph a poster for me saying I rocked. Shame it's kinda crumpled now and I only came to appreciate that in retrospect, but still cool that that happened. Needless to say, it's transitioned into unconditional love for me. More than any other series out there, DBZ will always be a part of me. I recognize it has its fair share of flaws and there are things that could have been done better, but overall, it's a series deserving of its legacy and is one of the better classics out there. If it had to be rewritten, I'd make Gohan the main character. DBZ would probably make more sense to track Gohan's progression from being a weak kid (Saiyan) to a strong kid (Frieza) to surpassing his dad (Cell) and then upholding his role of protector of the Earth passed on from his dad by defeating Buu. And an awesome cast too. [/quote] Actually that was exactly what the author was planning to do, thus why Goku died fighting against Cell. HOwever we, the fans, couldn't see DBZ without Goku as the main character and continued complaining about how our favorite super saiyan hero had bit the dust. So the author brought Goku back to make us happy and kind of let Gohan fill in as the third most powerful saiyan out there, because lets face it Vegeta still can kick Gohan's ass. Though it indeed makes more sense to follow Gohan, who had been there from the beginning, and have it about him we got what we asked for. DBZ is a good reminder of what is good in an anime, bad in an anime, and how the fans have direct influence into what we're going to get; the latter part being a sobering reminder that sometimes you should just step back and let the author do his/her own thing and enjoy it. But yeah, I completely agree that the author should do what HE wants to do and not let editors and fans directing him on what should be done. Fat Buu was defeated by Evil Buu who in turn turned into Super Buu. Gohan, Mystic Form, lost too Super Buu. So the point Mystic Gohan lost was one of the second strongest of Buu's forms. Vegeta, and Goku, both fought against Kid Buu who was the strongest of them all. While Vegeta admittedly didn't kill Kid Buu he was able to hold his own against him and even deal out some good damage to the enemy. Fat Buu > Vegeta Super Buu (normal) > Fat Buu Gohan > Super Buu (normal) Gohan > Vegeta And some people theorize that Super Buu's actually stronger than Kid Buu. Super Buu ran out of the Gotenks absorption and turned into a Piccolo version when he was fighting Mystic Gohan. Because of that transformation he absorbed Mystic Gohan. Okay so it is . . . Shotgun Cultist Posted September 17, 2012 Report Share Posted September 17, 2012 i was under the impression Kid Buu wasn't the first form of Buu, but simply the purest form, thus making him most powerful in that sense, and either way, the variation shown by Super Buu in absorbing the Z-fighters and the fact he had some intelligence and control surely must earn him some points over Kid Buu's chaotic repitoire of moves and unnecessarily unpredictable fighting style? And as to Fusion's point of Gohan > Vegeta, in DBZ indeed he was more powerful but this was limited to his Mystic "form", Vegeta spent much of the series as Gohan's equal or possibly even superior, in my opinion Vegeta even surpassed Gohan in his super sayian 1 and 2 forms, in his respective transformations of course, but Gohan's progress brought to light his true power level, putting Vegeta in "his place" if you will And also, the amount of hatred towards GT, i believe, is misdirected, as, although it never actually happened, it was still a series, part of the franchise (technically), and has fans just like any other, Kai on the other hand was a pretty serious failure Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

IMO, series would have been better if: -Goku stopped being a kid after the whole Baby fiasco -Goten also went into space, or at least in Pan's stead (probably would have been better actually) -Pan was less annoying -Have Goku vs Frieza/Cell actually be [i]serious[/i] -Not have everyone besides Goku and Vegeta suck so bad -Have Vegeta unlock SS4 on his own instead of stooping to using a machine Among other things.
