Catterjune
http://blackmesasource.com/ http://forums.blackmesasource.com/showthread.php?p=480683
We're freaking out over here! It is so exciting to share this news with you! - You can now Download the Black Mesa Soundtrack, courtesy of our very own Joel Nielsen, at the very generous price of whatever you want! Enjoy and share! - In the near future you'll see our Website, Wiki and Forums all taken down temporarily for renovations. - On September 14th you will see the first release of Black Mesa! This will include our re-envisioning of Half-Life all the way up to Lambda Core. We believe this is a great way to provide a complete-feeling 8-10 hour experience with a solid ending, make our fans happy and help us make the best overall game possible. We are still working hard on Xen and BMDM, but instead of making you wait we are giving you Black Mesa as soon as it's ready! We're doing our best to help bring the immense vision of this project into reality, and we are very excited for what the future brings! High-Fives Yo, Carlos Montero - Project Leader
In 1998, Half Life was released. T'was a very well made game, for it's time. In 2004, Half Life 2 came out, and it was also a great game. However it came with a new game engine called Source. It made things all pretty and made HL1 look really bland. They ported HL1 to the Source engine, but it wasn't that great. So since 2005, a bunch of modders came up with something called Black Mesa Source. A fully remade version of Half Life 1 using everything that made Half Life 2 so great. And... it's been 7 years, but they finally look like they're finishing up. September 14, allegedly
?someone?
Doesn't affect me, but still good news. I'll stick to The Orange Box for my Half-Life experience. (My computer would not handle anything more demanding than Minecraft; even that chugs.)
Archbaron Larry
Considering I have the Orange Box on my PS3, and am currently working on completing Half Life 2, I probably am going to download this when it comes out. I've had the Orange Box for a year almost, and I'm just now getting out of Ravenholm. I challenge Gaben to a race. If I can beat every HL game before HL3 comes out, he gives me a free copy. Flawless plan is flawless.
