Love of Ghibli
Wow that is a lot of cards in a set though I will say there are some I have issues Ayame Hashi: A 1900 reoccuring beatstick that just says draw a card. idk does not sound right to me. Susuki Mangetsu: skill drain is a card. This card is cruel because skill drain is a card. Oya's Dealings: Okay that card would be funny because I loved forced interaction however this card is already a win-win situation because even if you loose the RPS you still draw a card and its actually better if you don't run the Hanafuda because all you have to do is not pick a hanafuda and you can get ANY monster you want. For example Play RPS -> win and get BLS-> draw a card. Yeah there is a problem with that. Yaku: Its Short Circuit for Hanafuda but worse sense you can't Starlight or THRisO it. Though I don't know I didn't really see that much coming from the deck. Link to comment
Premier Alexander Romanov
I had been debating about Hashi. I'll make it so you have to kill something with it. And Mangetsu...how about it banishes itself is its effects would be negated? How can I make Oya's Dealings less broken? Link to comment
Love of Ghibli
Hashi: sure that works Mangetsu: I'm not even sure if that works it would have to get some kind of quickdraw ruling. How about you give it the photon sabre tiger effect and drop that attack by 800 and say if there is another spirit monster on the field it gets +800 Oya: Well just make it search for ONLY hanafuda cards. Make so that whoever wins draws a card and if you win add a hanafuda from deck to hand. That way it isn't uber herp-derp splashable. Link to comment
Premier Alexander Romanov
Hmm...I decided to change Mangetsu around. Now it's a Copycat that can target any monster. And Oya's Dealings has been altered. So, how do the other cards stack up? Link to comment
Love of Ghibli
Okay Oya is perfect now. As for the rest (including Mangetsu now) they are...meh...to plausible. But that is what happens when an archetype has more than ten members when you go to make a competitive deck you try maximize as few members as possible so you don't run into inconsistency. I mean they beg to be used with big daddy Izanagi and follow up with Izanami so those are already monster slots taken and the plethora of Hanafuda cards you have created here don't lead to a very consistent win condition if you were to try to use all of them. But they're fun for an RP it show variety. Link to comment
Premier Alexander Romanov
They're designed for an RP character, but I did want to see how they stacked in a more realistic setting. Think they give Spirits a bit more speed? Link to comment
Love of Ghibli
Oh yes with Izanagi they become beautiful swarming shinto/nintendo beast..depending on the build of course with a real draw engine they seem like they would really better for good xyzing Link to comment
