So, where does everyone's nicknames for your Pokemon come from?

For me:

Quilava was named Kirche after Kirche Augusta Frederica von Anhalt-Zerbst, a fire mage from Zero no Tsukaima.

Gastly was named Botan after Botan, the grim reaper and Spirit World guide from Yu Yu Hakusho.

Togekiss was named Robotnik after Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog.

Umbreon was named Larg after the black Mokona Modoki from xxxHolic, whose real name is Larg.

Slowking was named Ojou-sama since she's like royalty.

Raticate was named Slave I after Boba Fett's ship, and the fact he's my HM slave.

Are you new to Nuzlockes / how much experience do you have? Been Nuzlocking since 2011, but have stopped last year.

Anyway, what's a good pokemon hack for GBA? also, Victini is awesome.

Welcome, dawg. A few good hacks for the GBA are Firered Omega, Flora Sky, Murky Red, and Manly Pink.

Also, yay I did it! Wooo~

Hi Cinna, you hadn't missed much. I'd been doing some PWT shenanigans in the last few days. Althouh I should really use EV trained pokemon, I've beaten the world leaders tournament 4 times with my story mode team.

#1: Alakazam needed more Sp. ATK

#2: The tournament that got easier

#3: Toxic much?

#4: Juan is a moron.

Heya.:3

Oh yeah, I saw that on Youtube. Azumarill.<3

Also speculation time!

I saw this on my newsfeed. Don't know how accurate/complete it is since Gamefreak might add a few other things.

But the sky battles and horde encounters look great.=o

Riding Pokémon was only a matter of time since you were able to surf on them before.

There's also that diagonal moving-around.

3 Pokémon rumored to be released.

The one on the right looks like Raichu and Marill's lovechild.=o

Is it worth the read? I mostly heard good things about the Pokémon mangas in general.

Otherwise I don't really keep up with Pokémon news. I'm more interested into themed runs, Nuzlockes and such.

Also who wants to continue my Fire Red Omega playthrough?=o I picked Magby as a starter.

The Adventures manga is fantastic. I only read till the end of Gold/Silver tho.

And honestly, I was hopin' that Vivillion would be Psychic/Bug. That woulda been lovely.

I would give it a try, but with all the schoolwork and Murky Red I can't. >>

It's fine. I should have mentioned 'someone who isn't already doing so much'.xD

I'm putting Fire Red Omega on a hold anyway so if anyone ever wants to give it a try, just hit me up.:3

Yeah that would have been great, but Vivillion seems to join the not-so-useful-but-popular-because-of-the-looks butterfly range like Butterfree and Beautifly. That's fine with me, but a different typing would have been interesting.=o

I'll probably still look forward to the moves it can learn though.

Yeah, the Adventures manga is well worth the read, SO MUCH better than the anime that's for sure. I'm currently at the climax of the Ruby & Sapphire chapter. Prior to re-reading it, I was most familiar with the Red & Blue chapter.

Damn I should really check it out (as well as the Mystery Dungeon ones. I loved those games).

Also I'm at home for a while right now and there's still a Pokémon Snakewood Nuzlocke that has been hanging somewhere.

Snakewood is a Ruby hack about a zombie apocalypse. I'd really recommend it if you want a different storyline!

But I might try the Avatar challenge too because it must be quite fun from what I've seen.

EDIT: Also added AinSoph in the OP. Welcome!=o

Well I haven't been here in a long time and since I have been more active I thought I might as well return.

Also I plan on trying that ROM hack. I was always looking for a change of pace in Pokemon and that should provide it.

Welcome back mate! Most people come and leave, but there's always a small portion of us around. lol

And are you referring to that possible multiplayer Fire Red Omega run?

If yes, I stopped after beating Brock and am about to leave Pewter City. It's still pretty fresh.

If not, ohok.=[

So I practically lost the White 2 run. Blacked out twice, once to bad luck and an Excadrill and once to Iris. Keeping the save file because I did well in the Pokéstar studios.

I am now attempting Mono-fire Platinum, with some rule modifications. Blacked out in the first Rival, hoo boy.

I haven't read anything about the multiplayer Fire Red Omega run, sorry lol.

Damn. I never played B/W2, but I heard that Iris is hard as hell. You probably did a fine job though by still getting that far!

Also monotype with Fire Pokes? Sounds interesting since Fire types are some of the rarer ones in the earlier gens.

Are you using a randomizer?=o

EDIT:

Leo (since I can't multiquote properly): Ah the zombie hack is interesting. I found some of the gym and trainer Pokémon you have to fight against a bit overleveled so I'd really suggest to grind. lol

Fire Red Omega is good too, but it's basically Fire Red with Pokémon from the 3 first gens. The plan was to hand the gamefile around and let different people do 1 or 2 gyms, but it seems like there's trouble with ROMs. You basically have to play with what the previous player caught.

Nope, just pure game. The base modification, however, is that I'll expand the team with availability, so I'll probably try to powerhouse through the early parts with Chimchar.

Otherwise, there's Flareon, Ponyta, and probably something else… Oh right, Magmar.
