~British Soul~
Here's part 1 of my Fire Red Nuzlocke:
Oh hi Oak. You're getting too old for this. Yup I'm Steve I flown in from Sinnoh, died my hair and put on a disguise so noone will recognise me. Uh-Yeah, Gaston. Why? Because noone would make a better rival... like Gaston! Anyways the next thing I knew I woke up in my room playing my NES. How retro. I then checked my ID no. to see who my starter would be: It's a 2 so Bulbasaur it is. Which is nice for Status shenanigans and Leech Seed. Welcome to the team Deku Tree. (You totally can't tell I'm a LoZ fan.) It's a good thing I grabbed my potion otherwise it'd be all she wrote. Ofc I expected Charmander to crit me after I healed. So it's a quiet nature. I'll take it given it'll have a higher Sp. Attack. Now that I have Deku Tree with me I can go out in the big wide world... of Kanto. On my way I received a free Potion. In Viridian I walked into every house I could find because like in Zelda games noone cares if you walk into their property. At the Mart: I got a Parcel! (Yeah I edit'd the screenshot) Let's go back to Oak's so we can ste- I mean receive my pokedex. I got a Pokedex! I also get some balls as well (Oh yeah!), then Gaston says that he'll borrow a Town Map from his sister. That's fine, I'll just steal it instead. I leave for Route 1 and my first partner is... A Pidgey. I'm fine with that. I named her Skye because of my Staraptor from my Platinum Nuzlocke. After healing in Viridian, I went to Route 22 to meet my second partner... It was a Spearow. Oh god, Skye has become chopped liver in the space of 2 minutes. What were the chances of that? I decide to name him Wing Cap for teh lulz. Eww... Modest nature, looks like Skye hasn't become chopped liver then. I put Wing Cap into the box for now and head on north to Route 2, but we get stopped by an Old Man. Yeah he went to a Starbucks, anyways he thinks we are simpletons teaches us to catch a pokemon. He's doing Michael Jackson! That was well worth the pointless tutorial. (I bet you're sick of my editing already?) Can I toss this? Route 2: Oh it's a Rattata, I'm cool with that. I name him Joey because why the heck not, it has absolutely nothing to do with Youngster Joey at all. Now for the forest, let's see who I recruit... A Caterpie, I suppose beggers can't be choosers, but I had to weaken it as much as I could 'cuz I had 1 ball left, needless to say I caught it. Welcome to the group Aaron. Unfortunately Aaron was the first to perish whilst training, and we barely had him for 5 minutes. Stupid Critical Hit. This is the result of my training. Now it's time for Gaston fight #2 Hello Gaston, ready to be smashed again? It took teamwork between Skye and Joey to smash Pidgey. Go Deku Tree, throw your obese offspring at Charmander. A few Tackles later and it was all she wrote. In Viridian Forest, nothing of relevance happened at all. Sure Skye got poisoned by the first Poison Sting that was used (It always happens to me), but apart from that nothing happened and we reached Pewter City. I try to leave (for the heck of it), but some dude shows me to the gym. So let's go in More like 2 steps from facing Brock. Get it right. Let's fight Brock after 99 mins of game time. It didn't take Deku Tree very long to dispatch both of Brock's pokemon, I say about 2 turns at least. So that's it for part 1.
Team (as of the end of part 1): Deku Tree (Bulbasaur lv14) @Quiet Tackle/Growl/Leech Seed/Vine Whip Joey (Rattata lv9) @Gentle Tackle/Tail Whip/Quick Attack Skye (Pidgey lv11) @Quirky Tackle/Sand Attack/Gust
CinnamonStar
Ah yep. I do need to be more active, jeez. xD Um, well it combines the difficult Firered Omega rom with this challenge:
http://hugelolcdn.com/i700/39442.jpg
Gotta say, it's not a nuzlocke, but it's hard. o-o Oooooh seems interesting.o.o I like how the types are divided up.:3 Which nation did you get? I'd say it's really like a Nuzlocke, but then again, anything Pokémon-ish is fine here.xD Here's part 1 of my Fire Red Nuzlocke:
Oh hi Oak. Sadly gen. The Warden
I've been working into my Nuzlocke too, and, I swear to god Fate itself wants me to make it. I have been given the most ironically hilarious Pokemon, nickname, and Nature combinations. Even though it's a spoiler, I have a Jigglypuff, named Lyra, who is Quiet nature. Yeah, let that sink in a little.
~British Soul~
I once did a journal like this on the Nuzlocke forums, but stopped pretty quickly.:3 I hope I don't end up doing the same thing, but if I do, I'll just show the important stuff like deaths. Anyway, looks nice so far. Sadly gen. I resp. the remakes don't often much variety for Nuzlockes at the beginning, but things get more interesting later. lol'ed at the Michael Jackson and Starbucks part xD I gotta put some sort of hilarious spin to it. (Like with my Emerald comic) Anyways, part 2!
At this point, Brock is probably crying home to his big family, and it is time I departed from this place, but... Sweet! Now I can RUN AROUND LIKE A LUNATIC! Now it's on to route 3 to meet my favourite trainers: Who the **** are you? I didn't meet you in Viridian Forest. Are you that retarded? He also claimed that I beat him again, this is the first time I beat him. You are my second favourite Youngster, behind Youngster Joey of course. I don't need to wear shorts, I'm a hipster. It is so intriguing, I want to take you out for dinner and I'm paying. Let's see who I encounter on this route: Nidoran M huh? I'll take it. I've never used one before, shame it doesn't learn any "good" poison-type moves till later on. I'll ignore the Magikarp Salesman and get something BETTER on Route 4 later, but for now let's go into Mt. Moon. So Zubat was my encounter. Ok then, the idiot even tried to Astonish Joey... hehe, and I decided to name him Zazubat like my previous Zubat. So King has the first evolution of this nuzlocke. It wasn't long before Deku Tree followed in the evolution game. WHO ARE THESE SUSPICIOUS MEN? I MUST KNOW! I should've known it was you! Why don't you just blast off. I didn't, I tried to walk past you and collect that item. Meanwhile I collected a Moon Stone which I'll use on King fairly soon. Make me! Now why don't you tell me what this big job is like the lame villains you are. I'll mess with whoever the hell I damn like thank you very much. Who are you, Stingy? I didn't think so you greedy son of a Bidoof. The only thing of relevance in that fight was Voltorb getting poisoned by King's Poison Point. Oh yeah! Now Skye has joined the evolution partay! Yeah, I'll take the Helix Fossil, I haven't used neither of the fossil guys, but I'd rather have Omastar than Kabutops. Finally, I reached the exit, now let's head to Cerulean. Meanwhile my Route 4 encounter was... Oh, an Ekans, at least it's better than a £500 Magikarp Yo Gaston! Onto the fight, Skye scored a double Critical on the Twin D-... I mean the enemy Pidgeotto. King Double Kicked Rattata to his grave, Abra tried to Teleport like a dumbass and Charmander fell to Joey's Hyper Fang. That was part 2, the team as of this point:
CMRenji
Oooooh seems interesting.o.o I like how the types are divided up.:3 Which nation did you get? I'd say it's really like a Nuzlocke, but then again, anything Pokémon-ish is fine here.xD Mmhmm, it's very fun. And I got Fire. :3 So this is my team @British: I love using Nidorans in Firered, cuz early evolving. Aw shiz, lookin' good.
~British Soul~
@Renji: That, and the fact I haven't used a Nidoran before. SPOILER ALERT: I'm using a Moon Stone on Nidorino at level 22 (Because his later moves are not that great), although my main gripe is that he won't have access to any good poison moves (bar Toxic) until the aftergame (on Island 5, and that's Sludge Bomb), at least I have moves like Dig to use (STAB-wise). CMRenji
And also you can tutor him Rock Throw, which offers nice coverage. Gosh, I need to try to find more hacks that I could nuzlocke. I haven't nuzlocked in some time, actually. xD
Northern Sage
^Do Quartz Alright, report time. I lost the original White 2 attempt, with Memory Link, and since I thought it carried over (it doesn't) I restarted like that, discovered it didn't, but I was so immersed in this run that I wanted to continue. Name theme is YCMembers. In no particular order: Night the Litwick Level 36 (Docile, Celestial Tower) Aix the Sandslash Level 36 (Bashful, Relic Castle) Kazooie the Lilligant Level 36 (Sassy, Castelia City (The tree garden thing)) Took the longest damn time to evolve… Nightmare (Moon) the Scolipede Level 36 (Rash, Lostlorn Forest) Arakune the Golduck Level 36 (Quirky, Floccesy Ranch) Toyo the Unfezant Level 36 (Careful, Route 20) Zoroark (Neph, when I find the name rater and if I can) Level 37 (Hasty, Driftveil City (N's)) Gar the Electabuzz Level 37 (Mild, Virbank Complex) Rai the Boldore Level 35 (Sassy, Relic Passage) And now, what isn't on my team, but not dead: Bri(t)tish (Soul) the Foongus Level 26 (Naughty, Route 6) I can't spell "British"… Hina the Ferrothorn Level 27 (Modest, Chargestone Cave) Hatcher the Skorupi Level 31 (Adamant, Reversal Mountain) Atman the Banette Level 34 (Brave, Strange House) Zazubat the Zubat Level 14 (Quiet, Castelia Sewers) And the deaths: Koko the Purrloin Level 12 (Mild, Route 19) Hale the Tepig Level 16 (Sassy, Starter) Surmire the Trubbish Level 26 (Sassy, Route 5) Sorry, Opal, couldn't come up with any better at that moment. The Warden
I don't think I would 'really' count the PokeCenter before Mt. Moon as a part of Route 4. Course, might as well start grinding the Magikarp early anyways, since the only thing on Route 4 are Spearow, Mankey, Ekans & Ratata. And as they say there are plenty of fish in the sea. Also, Nidoking are awesome, they're pretty balanced, have STAB Earthquake, and can learn Surf.
~British Soul~
Here's part 3
Now, let's head up the Nugget Br-.. wait, we're not meant to know that info. Derp. I'm gonna get a prize? SWEET! *Gasps* It's serious now? WHERE'S THE TENSION MUSIC?! Yes you will. Don't delude yourself. No, not at all. And predictively, Joey gets poisoned by Poison Point, so I had to head back to the Pokemon Center to heal. Back on the Nugget Bridge: Come on, Try it! Or are you scared of failing? Of course the prize would be a Nugget, how did I not guess that? **** no! You're lame villains. After beating that jerk, let's see who my Route 24 encounter is: Hmmm... an Oddish, well I guess that'll be Deku Tree's replacement, welcome Weed. On Route 25: A Kakuna? Really? That'll do me a whole lot of good. Welcome to the box Poopa. OMG! Youngster Joey and his Rattata! Yes you are. *Resist urge to laugh* Weren't you a Black Belt in Hoenn? Aren't you from Hoenn too? Aww yeah! Now Joey has evolved. Aaand we're here. Let's go inside and steal stuff from Bill. Oh yeah! I scored a free ferry ride. Let's hit the gym. I really need a workout. Deku Tree completely sweeped that place clean. There's no water left. Whoops. So whilst I leave Misty to explain what happened to her sisters, I'm gonna leave this place. It isn't your yard either. I'll teach that to King at some point. Gee I wonder what my Route 5 encounter will be... Surprise surprise, it's a Meowth. (The others would've been dupes) Welcome Catwoman. I'm now on Route 6 after taking the underground path. Sadly I don't get anything on this route because I have caught everything on previous routes. At Vermilion's Pokemon Center... Cool, a VS Seeker, that'll help with training, let's move onto Route 11 to grab my encounter... Again, it was another case of only 1 eligible encounter, in which case was Drowzee. Hello Sleepy. Now we'll head to Diglett's Cave. Gee I WONDER what I'll grab here... That was SO surprising, I would've said she would help against Lt. Surge, but King will be a Nidoking by then. Hello Digger. Speaking of which, now that King has learned Horn Attack, I can evolve him now, then I'll teach you Dig. Team as of this point. (Before grinding) That's it for part 3. Miror B
So it's been forever since I've been here >> I know it wasn't a nuzlock, but I recently finished a Stoutland only playthrough, only allowing other pokemon for random HMs, and not allowing me to have more than 1 battling pokemon in my party at a time. The Warden
You're lucky you got the Nidoran, they have only a 14% occurence rate on that route. I got stuck with a Jigglypuff, whose only accentuating feature is an overexcess of HP.

Welcome to the Nuzlocke Nook.:3 I think most people just keep the egg (unless you want to exclude event Pokémon, gift Pokémon, in-game trades and such...but that's up to everyone). Personally I don't count the egg as an extra catch. What is your starter in the SoulSilver run?=o Ah man, very nice. Lovely coverage helps dat one Pokemon run. So far, a bit strange. Shradow
So far my starter is Cyndaquil, and I named her Kirche. I caught a Gastly in Bellsprout Tower and named her Botan.
