Right, done some research, and apparently in addition to the displayed stats of HP, ATK, DEF S.A, S.D and SPD, there are these other things called [b]Effort Values[/b] which determine how much these stats go up by at level up. Depending on what you defeat, your pokemon will recieve EV's for different stats (example given is that defeating Machoke's boosts ATK). These EV's are boosted by items such as the [b]Macho Brace [/b](no wonder Poporri is so hench when he's been holding that for about 25 levels!) and pokerus. Once a pokemon has caught pokerus, the amount of EVs it recieves for defeating pokemon practically doubles, and this [b]effect lasts even after pokerus has been vaccinated[/b] from it. However you need to keep some pokemon 'contagious' by putting them in boxes, so pokemon you catch later can pick it up off them. I think that's the gist of it... The nature and personality of a Pokemon effect how effective the EVs will be. Find out your Chandelure's Nature and you can train it accordingly. I know some Pokemon have special EV outputs. You'll be set. Oh, and as for the PokéJargon: OU = Over-Used; pokemon that are used regularly in the metagame and are considered to be the powerful but not broken. UU = Under-used; pokémon that are not used so much, and aren't that strong compared to OU pokémon. As for the EVs, I wouldn't bother trying to do that kind of training in the normal games; especially if you're only a casual gamer. It's nigh impossible, as you have to track what pokémon your pokémon face, and memorise/search what EVs they provide and stuff like that, and you have to do that the moment you get your pokémon. I can feel it inflating cartoonishly. All I know is Poporri can take almost anything in one hit, and is quick. The others are getting the same way, although aren't as quick. The ending, the way it was done with Plasma and facing N and then Ghetsis, as opposed to games past where everything of that ilk was resolved long ago and it was just duking it out for the sake of a fairly meaningless championship in comparison, was awesome. [/quote] Oops,. sorry. I wasn't very elaborate was I? Well my final team going in was all Lv50. Oshi (Samurott, the all rounder), Poporri (Damatrain, the muscle), Thorn (Maractus, the stubborn resistance), Cassie (Gilagith, the wall), Clarance (Beartic, the extra muscle) and Draegen (Druddiggon, the dragon type ). I like this new idea of the Elite 4 being unranked and able to be challenged in any order, and all having their own very personal room, and that I know I'm chasing N who's in here somewhere, and I've still got no idea when Zekrom will arrive. I also like how gym leaders have proper jobs now (think I've said that before). Like how Shauntel is a writer, etc Went in traditional order. Shauntel was no real problem at all, Draegen ripped through her with Ghost Claw and Cassie dealt with Chandelure. Marshal was a bit of a block, with Throh and Sawk being very heavy defensively and he got a few of my guys beat, but we outmuscled him. Grimsley was pretty poor, think we dealt with him without loss. However Caitlin was an absolute NIGHTMARE! Clarence just about toppled that first thing, but Gothitelle singled handedly ripped through Thorn, Oshi and Poporri! Think that was because Thorn knows Sucker Punch which I kept trying and failing to use, giving her two free Calm Minds. Petal Dance, always Petal Dance in future. Think everyone's accuracy was out that fight with some other missing crucial attacks as well, really thought we were going to be defeated when it was down to Cassie and Draegen. Cassie managed to make the critical with Stone Edge, then her last two were dealt with fairly simply. So yeah, then its down this cool lift, then back up a load of stairs (WTF?!), to find.... oh know Alder's defeated. There's N, and oh god this huge castle turns up. This is what I mean about this story going to the real end instead of a standard E4 challenge, this is cool. Cheren arrives (E4 beaten 3 times in 20 minutes, oh dear) and looks after Alder who looks awful. So we chase and crap, six sages blocking the path! It looks awkward, but... Clay to the rescue! Bless that Texan man! And here comes Lenora, and Burgh and Skyla and Brycen and the darling Elesa and Drayden and Iris. f*** you Cilan and your bro's! Dunno why none of the other Plasma guys even tried to stop me. N's wishes I guess. Even the Shadow Triad help me too him, wow he wants this fight. Run into his two carers, who are very nice! What are girls like you two doing in a place like this? Battle time, and this is awesome. Reshirem's entrance was cinematic awesomeness, and I'm just thinking s*** I have missed something to awaken Zekrom going into this, I'm screwed... he goes all hollywood on me and comes out at last in equal style. Nice, I got a showoff of a dragon! Catching him is actually quite easy, and unfortunately Dragen has to be dropped. I think I'll need Zekrom for this (plus for plot). I'm amazed when N starts with his dragon, and am even more stunned when after a struggle, it topples Zekrom! This isn't good, and N's in the driving seat. Oshi comes out, and he defeats the legendary dragon. After that its fairly straightforward and we get through the rest of his guys without real loss. Ghetsis comes out, makes his big reveal, sticks it to N, then FINALLY, oh you're going to do something about me now are you? How could anyone listen to what this guy says when he looks so f***ing evil?! It's a standard plan, but it does the job very well. The fight with Ghetsis is fairly one sided with Hydrogien taking out Clarence and some others, this thing has a move for everything! (sorry lot's happened since can't remember many details) Zekrom topples it I think, leaving only some stubborn resistance from his others (his last pokemon, Bisharp, beat Zekrom after I didn't realise it was a dark type. More practise needed with this guy). But yeah, it was all pretty epic ending really. Enjoyed it immensely. Then back to the real world now... Tried to download an emulator (DeSmuMe, cos someone recommended it, cant remember who), and my computer just wont have it. >.> I hate this fricking thing. Then I find out I've got to download the games as well, dont know where from (Even after googling, because all the things that come up are just advertising stuff like R4s, which I've already got), and my computer probably wont help it, cos it'll just not download. It's a GBA emulator, and is a lot easier to use. Also, just look up something like "Pokemon Red Rom" and you should find it immediately. ROMs are what you play on emulators btw. In my game I think I've had more good luck than bad in terms of first encounters. Since Rt 9 where I got nothing (got TWO Liepard's in a double battle!) I caught an Eaglett on Rt 10, which was lovely given the alternatives. In Dragonspiral Tower, I got a Druddigon. Misteltron Cave was engineeered so the only thing I could get non-duplicated was Axew. All good in terms of my quest to become a dragon master. However, Victory Road. First thing is a Boldore. Standard, and already got Gigalith. Next, is a Durrent. Which is caught. A section for all the nuzlockes people here have completed so far.
