The Nuzlocke Nook - A Pokémon Club based on Nuzlockes

I still feel the pain of the blasted coin hitting my head/ [/dead] It was still fun despite the evils eventual win.
[size=2]Even though I have been inspired to start my own Mystery game with a mafia element. I will hold off posting it for a while (a couple of weeks or so) because I could have more than one person have a got at me, lol.[/size]

Anyways within the next week or so (depending on how much time I have). I will carry on with my TR, Emerald Nuzlocke, and the Joey challenge. I will complete all of them, though I'm still having troubles with the E4 on the Joey challenge.

[Bahamut - Envoy of the End]

Club is too quiet (I was about to say, but I got ninja'd).

I'm now in Ocupelid City. It's the 1st day of spring, and my goodness how different Unova looks!? So green and lusious (and quite wet underfoot, but more of that later).

Got Kenda and Cassie evolved thanks to my mate doing a bit of trading, so am able to settle on a final six for a team. Cassie the Gigalith looks awesome and got huge ATK and DEF boosts, whereas Kenda the Conkerorr... didn't. So leaving Iccarius City a final six has been decided on of Oshi, Poporri, Thorn, Cassie, Clarence and Draegen. They are all currently Lv44 about to hit the gym.

In terms of catches, disappointing lately.

Iccarius City: caught Shelmet (and released, its awful)
Route 8: caught Palpitoad (and released, didn't even have a water stone for the dex addition)
Iccarius Moor: caught Stunfisk (also terrible. Have still got... for now... Called Gawp)
Route 9: missed Leipard (for the third time. Had got to the thick grass hoping I'd have a better chance of something good, and hit two of these things!!)

So yeah, nothing special. Ah well.

Plots waning again.

Question 1: When will Litwick evolve?
Question 2: What is in Misteltron cave that ISN'T Axew? I'm assuming it's a Bagon-style right at the back of the cave thing?

Just Boldore and Woobat. (Aron too if it's BW2), but since you're on Wite 1, you'll find Cobalion in there too.

Boldore is straight replacement for Graveler. Both evolve at Lv28, then by trade.
Gurdurr is straight replacement for Machoke. Both evolve at Lv25, then trade.
Litwick family is straightish replacement for Gastly. Evolves at higher level having been obtained at Lv32, so...

Either that or a stone of some sort, but that's easily determined.

[size=3]Choose a anime/manga character. Use only Pokemon that would make sense for them to have/use. Your starter is the exception to this rule. Examples would be Mizore Shirayuki from Rosario Vampire, who is a Yuki Onna. A Pokemon that would work for her would be Frosslass, since Frosslass is based off of a Yuki Onna. You cannot change the character once you have began. If you plan to use a Pokemon that has a evolution that would work for that character, but need to evolve it first, you are allowed to use it. Pokemon DO NOT die if they faint. You can use them again if they faint. If you require a Pokemon that has to know a certain HM, you are permitted to have one, and you MAY use that Pokemon in battles.

Well... if it evolves that late, then logic dictates that a stone would be your best bet.

So, because I'm silly, I decided to do a Pokemon Emerald RANDOMIZER Nuzlocke! :'D

It's a basic Nuzlocke, but all wild Pokemon encounters are random, INCLUDING the starters.

So I started my game and I got to Birch. My random starters aaaaaaaareeeeee

PRIMEAPE!

PSYDUCK!

...AND f***ing REGICE <3

So I obviously choose Regice because ICE TYPES ARE <3

So Glacier the Regice joins the party. And things get sad cause all it knows is Explosion thus I lose D:

THIS TIME, RALPH THE PRIMEAPE JOINS THE PARTY!

he has a full moveset too :'D

SO I go north and I fight Brendon. He has a Torchic so I guess Ralph used to be a Treeko. WELL THAT DOESN'T MATTER. RALPH LOW KICKED IT TO DEATH

You don't get teh rod till after you beat the E4 anyway.

Dusk Stones can be found on Route 10 and Mistralton Cave

Randomizers are hilarious. It let's ANY Pokemon in the Rom data spawn, including Legendary's. I haven't ran into one of them yet though D:

So I saw this thread on the nuzlocke forums where a guy started a Nuzlocke contest based off of the Hunger Games. Everyone involved used an Emerald Randomizer and at each gym two people would have a battle and one would get eliminated. It looked like a good amount of work to prepare, but fun nonetheless. I'm not asking for participation yet, but what do you guys think about an idea like that? I think it sounds pretty awesome.

In the mean time: Bahamut, get yourself that Chandelure. No way should a Chandelure be back up to a Darmanitan. Chandelure is much better: Highest non-legendary SpecAttack in the game + quite decent other stats. Alongside Flash Fire as an ability, and a great moveset.

Searching the cave for the Dusk stone now.

Poporri is kickass. He's the fastest thing on me and his strength is immense. He can kill anything he runs into in one hit even type disadvantaged. I agree he has a great moeset, my Havik has Flame Body as its ability though.

I guess it's the competitive battling that's telling me Chandelure. Chandelure's OU, Darmanitan is UU, which generally means Chandelure is better. But it's different in the games; it's about personal preference. And if your Porporri is the fastest, keep it. Chandelure's a whole 10 speed points down from Darmanitan, so it wont be anywhere near as fast, and the physical attack of Darmanitan makes up for Chandelure's specattack, I guess.

Please, guys. I'm a casual pokemon fan getting back into it after many years absense. I have absolutely no idea what terms like UU, Necromancers and sweep mean. Vaguely aware that UU and OU are ranks of tier similar to YGO, but no more than that. Please dumb down the pokeJargon if giving me advice or I'm not going to understand. So I'll ignore you

Got my Dusk Stone btw. Also caught some little thing called a Cobalion. So I now have a legendary sitting in a box, which I never like having because it doesn't fill right. I refuse point blank to nickname him.

I do however find it hilarious, given that I already have Boldore, Woobat and Axew going into Guidance Chamber, that he was a legitimate Nuzlocke style catch

Will keep him for now in case my mate needs him for his dex. Anyway, my more pressing issue is that apparently the Axew I caught, I assume it was Axew, has Pokevirus, which has now spread to the rest of my team. Don't really know much about it, other than its something I want now my luck is in and the only way to keep my pokemon infected is to box them up when I'm not playing (I think), so paused the game in a pokemon centre with only Woobat in my team til I find out more. Tips anyone (limit on jargon please)?

You lucky son of a gun. TRAIN Chandelure. And go to a Pokemart. Pokerus is easy to get and they heal any Pokemon with it at the Pokemon Center. So avoid those. You can test this out by healing him and reinfecting it through Axew. They should offer to heal him and tell you about the Virus

I WILL! I train all my pokemon.

Well not all of them, most. So far through the entire game to now its been Oshi plus any 5 from 10, depending on what the situation needed. Havik's just been unlucky I stopped with him a level short of Lampend.

Nurse Joy(?) made no mention of it when I asked. I remember they did in Emerald when I had it, but I wasn't paying attention at the time. This time they haven't said anything. It hasn't been removed from any of them though. I thought the whole point of Pokevirus was once someone had had it and lost it, they were vaccinated and immune from ever getting it again (like measles)?

But what does it actually do?!?!
