I've missed a lot...

For the favourites run. Just an idea that may have already have been mentioned, but what if you take a favourite starter, and then a randomly determined party from the list of favourites.

If we wanted to, we could leave say a slot open to plug a gap the person in question wants.

Also congrats on being co-host.

I can only see it working with randomizers that work with ROMs.
Yes ROMs, although it's not very dignifying.xD
If you want to play with a real console though, you can ask one of us to pick a regular starter.

The randomizer lets you play around with encounters and also set the starters.
You can easily start with a level 5 Rayquaza and meet a Ho-Oh on the first route.:3
For example if Scizo and Insect Graveyard were taking part:
Scizo could type Eevee into the randomizer (because Insect Graveyard likes Espeon) and Insect would take Solosis.

But to make things easier, it would be better fo' sure if we agreed on a game and let everyone pick a favourite of that gen if you haven't yet.

I'm back with a new Nuzlocke journal entry. I was surprised at how easy Norman was. I'd thought his Slaking would at least attack me.
After grinding my team for the next gym battle, "The only notable things happening was Miss ESP evolving and Topaz learning Flamethrower." it was time to return to Petalburg City. "To see if anyone have made cardboard cut-outs of koopas." I decided to take the scenic route along the west side of Hoenn, "It was also the faster route too." and on the way I get a call from Dusty asking if I've seen any ruins lately, "Even if I did, I wouldn't tell him about it." and upon my return to Petalburg I composed myself before entering the gym. "By saving the game obviously."

When I entered the gym, I saw 2 doors with writing on them, "Let me get my reading glasses, sorry my GO-GOGGLES because I can totally read whilst wearing them." one of the signs said Speed Room and the other says Accuracy Room, but I decided to go into the Speed Room. The guy inside says that he has the advantage because he can attack first, "Oh really?" but I let Martin prove him wrong in 1 turn. I then decided to go into the Accuracy Room to see what lies in store for me in there. The girl in that room says it must be nasty when an attack lands without fail, "Not really, but I bet your pokemon fainting is even nastier though." and Michael yawned in confidence whilst giving Delcatty a Vital Throw to its demise.

After that battle, I decided that it would be appropriate if Michael took care of all the trainers there. "I can grind everyone else afterwards." The next room I entered was the Confusion Room, and predictably confusion was the name of the game here, and the Spinda caused a bit of trouble, its trainer even used a Hyper Potion to further annoy me, "Because Cooltrainers can do that, just like Rich Boys and Ladies." but Miss ESP finished the job. The next room was the Defense Room, "No prizes for guessing what the focus here is then." and it took Michael 3 turns to defeat Wigglytuff. "It would've taken 1 turn, but Wigglytuff used Defense Curl." The 5th room was the Recovery Room, "That's where patients are taken after surgery." and the guy inside is going to show me how awful it feels to have a pokemon restore HP, "I'm not bothered, Gym Leaders do it all the time." but Michael didn't even give him a chance to recover after defeating the Slakoth in 1 turn.

Then there were 2 final rooms to check, the Strength Room and the One-Hit KO Room. "The One-Hit KO Room should have a sub-sign saying No One-Hit KO moves used here." I decided to enter the One-Hit KO Room and the guy inside somehow knew I was the leaders kid, "How did he know, is he psychic?" and he was going to show me how nasty it is for a pokemon to take a critical hit, "If you can get more than 1 turn in." however Michael showed Vigoroth how nasty it is to land a super effective hit. The last room was the Strength Room and the girl inside was told to go all out on me even if I was the leaders' kid, "So DAD told them about me huh?" but Michael went all out on her and defeated Zangoose in 1 turn. After all the trainers in the gym were defeated, it was finally time to face DAD.

Now that I had obtained 4 badges it was time to face DAD in a battle like he agreed and he would do everything in his power to win. The first thing he sent out was Spinda, "He didn't have that thing in Ruby and Sapphire." and its strategy was the same as the strategy in the Confusion Room, but Miss ESP had no problems dispatching that thing. The second pokemon he sent in was Vigoroth, and I sent Topaz in to fight that thing, and her defenses definately helped. Norman's 3rd pokemon was a Linoone, "Another pokemon he didn't have in Ruby and Sapphire." and that thing made it easy for me to defeat by using Belly Drum, "How stupid can you be?" and then it was time for his Slaking to come out to play. I thought Slaking was going to be difficult to kill, but all it did was Yawn, "Coupled with the fact that I switched to Topaz so I can wake Michael up." and somehow I was able to defeat Slaking without any casualties, and my DAD couldn't believe that he lost to me and he gave me the Balance Badge and TM42 (Facade) for winning.

Even though he lost and feels sad inside, he couldn't help but be proud of me, "Like a real DAD would." and suddenly Wally's father comes in and wants me to have something. "Whilst listening to tutorial music along the way." He owes me for helping Wally catch a pokemon, "Like I had a choice in the matter." and he's happy that Wally has me as a friend, "But I'm not friends with him though." and he gives me HM03 (Surf). "Yay, now I can have Mudman ferry my lazy butt around."

Now that I gained another badge, it was time to go back to the Trick House, "And because I have Surf, I took the shortcut through Route 103 to get there." but before I got there, I engaged in a double battle with a couple of swimmers. When I entered the Trick House, the Trick Master was hiding beyond the window, "That's cheating!" and what awaited inside was a Strength puzzle. The trainer I fought explained that she only came in to battle, and she went down swiftly. After moving around another boulder, I memorized what was on the scroll and then I met a bloke who can move boulders but not solve the puzzle. "So.. if I complete the puzzle, does that make me better than you?" The final trainer in the room asks if the Trick House is getting trickier, "Not really." and Sally made light work of her. After defeating her, I wrote down the code on the door and it said, Trick Master is cool, "Is he though? I think not." and the Trick Master gave me a Smoke Ball before disappearing in the same, predictable manner. When I exited the trick house, I headed down sout towards Slateport City so I can along Route 109 towards Dewford and defeating the trainers there.
Marshtomp (Mudman) Male - Level 30

No worries here.:'D

I sort of liked the setting of the gym, how every trainer represents a battle style and you can pick some trainers you want to battle first.

What are cardboards cut out of koopas?=O

@ Wham: Pokémon Vortex... But it's a battle site, isn't it? Can you do in-game runs there?

And I'm leaving for a few days. Meanwhile on YCM, Mako will [s]have the high dictatorship power to hit y'all with a club[/s] entertain you guys. Hopefully.='3

Actually it is a very loose setting. I made an account there, in order to entertain myself and I'll say a few things:
1. The 1 Pokemon upon site rule will have to be adapted. Probably no more than 2 a section, per gym minus the starting Team. Or something like that. The shiny clause probably shouldn't exist.
2. You can visit any Gym whenever you want. They are great for training Pokemon. They have all 5 regions gyms, elites, and champions as well as the Orange Islands.
3. Pokemon heal after every full battle and in battle items are the last thing to happen, so potions are useless.
4. By the end of the Elite 4, you'll need a new Team, if not by the last Gyms. Have all level 100s if you even want to think about Nuzlocking.
5. Oh and the battle system: There are no abilities or status changes for the most. Speed is not a factor. All hits land. All the time.

I'll put it like this: I had a Leavanny at level 55 before I took it to the league. After I was done, it was 100 along with my Typhlosion, Empoleon, and Excadrill. I went through Vanillish's whole evolutionary line in the course of a few hours. Not Catching Pokemon is harder to do than Training.

It'll prove an interesting Nuzlocke, especially if you make a fic out of it.

Whambro: But is it set up like the actual games, with wild Pokémon, similar routes and gyms? I've just taken a quick look at it without making an account, but the ideal would be something that emulates the original game structure and keeps the point of nuzlocking up.

Also, since Halloween is approaching, we should make a record of all the Pokémon who left us during the last Nuzlockes and dedicate the day to them.

Welcome new member.:3

Another fan of the Cyndaquil line... We're starting to get many of them. Might have to ask for some extra preferences for the "someone's favourite things" run.

But it's fine, you're going to be Daku if that works.
I tend to give nicknames without really checking if people like them, but that would sort of be the point of nicknames.
So far I've only got

Thar Ablaze --> Slendy (because he said so)
Hivey (because Hivey-Wivey is reserved for Serenade and I don't want to bump into it :3)
Meta
Black
Larry
Whambro

Wow, I need to post here more often and see what y'all are up to.

I like the use your favorite thing, and I'd be up for using any favorite as long as it's in gen III or before. XD

Oh, and I also did a rather quick Crystal run. And after I beat the Elite Four, I tossed the nuzlocke rules aside and went on normally.

E4 Team: Meganium, Sandslash, Slowbro, Flareon, and Electabuzz

Team I faced Red with: Meganium, Tyranitar, Slowbro, Electabuzz, Murkrow, and Snorlax

I feel Welcomed. And I have to salute you Renji. I found meganium to be totally hard to use. (maybe it was the fact that silver had typlhosion).

Actually, Kumar was fairly awesome in battle. His stats were all fairly high and balanced. :3

Oh, and gaiz, *points to status* :'D
