I'm mostly spam-battling the 2 reporters around Mauville and Fortree city. It takes a while, but they're progressing. So did anyone complete the Emerald trial run (that is, beat the Elite 4) besides Renji? I haven't been playing that much recently.=O But will try to catch up during the next few days. Also, Mudkipz is probably the best gen. III starter for Nuzlokes.xD At least the team did the best.x3 One of my goals was to keep Mirage (Treecko) until Pokémon League, but it died around Fortree or so.>_> I never expected G.NA/Marill or Spark/Minun to do so well. Why not reload the save state of before the battle?...Scratch that, I'd be the one doing my Soul Silver run off a laptop...eventually. But yeah it seems like the Nuzlocke spirit, though, on the site's forum I've seen just free resets just 1 though or death. I just put it it like this, If you have my luck, then you'd be using the dupes clause like a baws, ( I SEE NOTHING BUT DUPES ) and spamming pokemon center. [/quote] Marill is truly an epic Pokemon. With a bit of setting up, my Azumarill took down Norman single-handedly with Rollout. And Minun.. actually looks like it would be pretty nice in game. Oh, and in my FR Nuzlocke EVERYONE but Charmeleon is dead. I mean, when I'm NORMALLY playing Pokémon, I reload my last save anyway since I don't like the loss on my non-existent record. The only reason why I haven't lost yet is because I'm grinding like hell and too scared to take on the next gyms.D: Also, I'm appointing a co-leader and been thinking about adding sub-groups here instead of ranks. Mr.WHAM Posted September 17, 2012 Report Share Posted September 17, 2012 Well here's a general tip for nuzlocke's: GRIND LIKE HELL. You shouldn't hit your first gym without having your starter evolved and 1 pokemon at level 15 Second use the dupes clause & the rares/shiny clause; or adapt it to your style. If you'd rather be forced to battle every pokemon you see on a route and only catch 1 of your choice then do that. It adds a flare. Nuzlocke makes the game more challenging but it only works if your challenge is surmountable. As far as sub groups, it really depends...I play pokemon from off my laptop and can do any of them, but if we have archived posts then that's different. I think full descriptions would be in order for that as well. On another note, I want to pose a challenge with in the Nuzlocke Run: You must obtain 6 specific Pokemon in your run and once you've beaten the league once, you have to go back and beat them again with the six pokemon. Also if you go beat the league without having caught said 6 pokemon, you fail your challenge and must start over. From the earliest point where you can catch 1 of the pokemon on the list(pre-evolutions count). So far I have Furret, Magikarp, Corsola, a fire type, ground type and since corsola can learn ice moves a psychic or dragon type... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mr.WHAM: Agreed to all. That's pretty much the point: set your rules, but according to your playing style (unless you're like Mako and want to make it as hard as possible ). And the Nuzlocke forums' motto is "grind like hell". The earlier, the better.:3 What do you mean with archived posts?:S I really like the challenge you suggested.
