a bad post Posted September 5, 2012 Report Share Posted September 5, 2012 CoD: I can't stand the series in general, the fanboys even less they are very rude and immature. I also feel like the game is very predictable, and far too easy I played the first one and only died like 3 times on Veteran. Also I believe it's quite unoriginal, your taking historical events and putting fake historical characters in them, now I could deal with this if every character wasn't ugly and boring. I gave the first 3 the world at war series, but could never get into it and quit half way through the third one. My friend convinced me to play the Modern Warfare convincing me they were much better than the first ones, I quit those to after the first couple of levels, and Black Ops totally killed it for me, and the fanboys that came with it were worse than when it first started. This could just be my biased opinion as a Halo fan though. Ghost Recon: Don't get me wrong the games were pretty good, but the last one was way to popular the multiplayer was a rip-off of CoD. Lonk Posted September 5, 2012 Report Share Posted September 5, 2012 I probably should be more specific on why I don't like the Call of Duty series: It started when my older brother occasionally comes over and brings his MW2 to play over my house online. He has a blast with it. Being curious, I tried the game out myself, just to see how it was like. I hated it. The campaign mode felt very lackluster, as though the creators didn't even try to make an engaging story because they know that people play for the online (and I don't play X-Box Live, so I ruled that out). When you die, it really doesn't feel like a shock, as it greets you with a patriotic quote in death. Does this mean that if you die serving for your country, it is treated positively? Also, I didn't like how the weapons controlled, especially when compared to the more smoother aiming from FPS games like 007 Nightfire and Timesplitters 2 (it could be the fact that those 2 games are my favorite FPSs, but I liked how they controlled). It felt too stiff for me to aim with and I usually resorted to knifing. While it is somewhat fun to play with another person, the single player experience was a complete letdown in every imaginable way (The local multiplayer didn't even have AI for you to kill, which is one of the things I look forward to with shooters with a respectable multiplayer mode). Case in point, MW2 ruined the entire series for me because of a bland single-player and too much of an emphasis on the online multiplayer while not enough of an emphasis on the single-multiplayer. [/quote] Firstly, yes, that is treated very positively in most places, and secondly, half the quotes are cynical anti-war quotes. The game is still vastly overrated though. They just completely lost their charm from the Gameboy days. -Wind Waker I hated the art style and pretty much everything else. :V -Soul Caliber 5 The game was a good game, but completely changing every character we know and love to some twerpy kid wasen't the best thing to do. For instance, personally I think that B/W are the best games, even better than R/B/G. Sure, Gen I was great, and there's plenty of nostalgia, but I think Gen V was awesome for its characters are story (not gonna get into game mechanics). [/logic] Also, I heard there were numerous bugs with the game when it first came out, on BOTH SYSTEMS (OMG Shocker something was actually wrong on the PS3!), so that's when I decided to jump into playing Tales of Graces F. Especially when my 2012 compter has a hard time with loading a server because the people in it can't stop spamming lines of text, or they can't stop spawning 80 people at once. [/quote] True, Black and White weren't very good. I think Game Freak and Nintendo have nothing to make a Pokemon of any more. Heartgold and Soulsilver weren't [i]bad[/i], I enjoyed them a bit. I actually liked B/W far better than D/P or even R/S. And so I don't waste this post, I'm going to try to rack my brain for something I didn't like. There are few games I can't find something good in. Ummmm.... Super Mario Bros. Wii. It's a great game I suppose, I just can't get into it. Too hectic.
