?someone?
There comes a time when all good things must end. People die, stuff happens, I get it. That said... why!? I just learned that Nintendo Power's last issue is going out in december. Most websites go on about the magazine's "glory days", with guides and foldouts and all that good stuff. Sure, but... it's all nostalgia value! Does no one give a sh*t about it now? Most websites are too wrapped up in themselves. I don't want to read about some pretentious political bullsh*t, I just want to read about... games. It seems like I can hardly do that anymore. I go to NP and a few other places to get an accurate guage on "fun" without some guy figuratively busting down the door and yelling "CALL OF DUUUUTY!" while jerking off into a cupcake and complaining about the FAMAS being overpowered. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm kinda mad that most people seem to be indifferent, saying it's "not needed". I think it's important that there be as many quality gaming publications in the world as possible, and the demise of this one is sad. What do you think? Legend Zero
I only get Game Informer and that's because I get it for free. *winkwink got connections* However, I do prefer to actually have the publication in hand than read it online. It does make me sad that something like this is stopping.

bury the year
Including mine. When I used to buy games a lot more than I do now I bought that magazine religiously. Stopped subscription ~3-4 years ago but it's a shame that they're canceling it.

Jord200
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VXTrFaWbgE Not cool. I've been a loyal reader for a 4 years. Its the end of an era.
Juuzou
Nintendo Power lost it's soul after the 2D era ended. That's when the game hints stopped and all that was left was shitty reviews by third parties.
?someone?
^ Nope. I've only read since '07 or so, but the reviews are actually really good. I prefer them to most websites, actually.
Agro
I suscribe to GI. I made the mistake of switching to online and now I hardly ever read it. :< Anyway, the reviews in GI and in NP can be exceedingly biased, but a reader should be able to tell the difference between the two. .Corgi
I don't care. I wasn't one of the rich kids who could afford to subscribe to a magazine.
