bury the year
A discussion thread for one of the most innovative RPGs to come to the DS... probably ever. Also, what's lead to me posting this? Go here.

Dr. Percival Cox
I legit cried when I saw the clock and heard the music.... Anyway, the game was just amazing, planning on doing another run through when I'm done with extra 3D, and get a reasonable amount done in The 3rd Birthday. Lucifer the Wise
The storyline was unparalleled in writing. I absolutely love the plot! I hate the gameplay though. And honestly I don't feel it was as good as people say.

Tentacruel
So it's a re-release? Either way, I need to get the game.
?someone?
I've heard many, many good things. I will pick it up someday, hopefully sooner than later.
Agro
Who cares if it IS a rerelease? The very fact that they can put this on an iPhone is a testament to the developer that Sqaure Enix is. It'll be the best game on iOS. Also, here's the trailer from the site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=osRNt8ai9FM
Desu the Blue Nerd
Gotta say I loved the game when I actually had a functioning DS. My friends were actually kind of pissed when I had gotten rid of it (nonfunctioning DS kind of made it hard to play) because I had let them play a little bit of it and they liked it so damn much. My friend will be so excited when I tell her that there'll be a remake on a platform she can actually play the game on. Her DS is busted too. <---Somewhat glad it's not a sequel because I probably wouldn't be able to play it.

bury the year
Also, I don't like that they'll have to be changing the whole dual-screen combat gimmick. Although it was difficult to get used to, it was probably my favorite part of the whole game. )=
Tentacruel
I'd just like to point out that gaming on the iPod/Phone is absolute crap and will never even touch an actual handheld console. And this is coming from someone who spent $300 on an iPod Touch.
Catterjune
Possible TWEWY sequel!? http://i.imgur.com/5Ud2P.jpg It was the "secret ending" of the iOS game. >_>
Phantom Roxas
I figured the iOS release was meant to foreshadow a sequel. I figured that after KH3D, there would enough new interest in the game that there would be more demand for a sequel.
Wave_Sine
Hey, it's that game I love and own but that few people I know IRL have ever heard of! TWEWY is, in my opinion, one of the best games on the DS and one of the best demonstrations of what the hardware is capable of. The solid story enhances the gameplay and graphics, and makes the world feel alive. I hated the 'Reaper Creeper' minigame parts, though. I'd had my DS for a while before I got the game, and so the touchscreen was too messed up to exercise the fine control necessary for that part (Worked fine the rest of the time, even if the menus were a bit laboring to get through). All I have left to do to fully 100% the game is to beat every possible Noise at level 1 and to record all pin drops from every Noise at every level. I've done everything else, so I hope a sequel is coming soon.
Catterjune
I don't recall the Reaper Creeper minigame. I remember Tin Pin though. That was great. =D
Wave_Sine
Reaper Creeper was the part where you had to move a coin on a sheet of paper to help people with their 'decisions'. It showed up during week 1, I believe on day 3, and again in week 3. It required precision to move the coin slowly, and the touchscreen on my (main) DS has grit or dust or something under the border so it doesn't track steadily. At the time, I had to borrow a friend's DS every time I played that day. Also, I forgot about Tin Pin. The Darklit Planets are a pretty good deck. Hasemeow
Ah the majesty of neku and joshua <3 OT: The world ends with you.... It's my favorite game on the DS. Period. It literally was, in my eyes, Enix testing the waters out of it's shell. A street art design, rap/rock/R&B music, the innovation of a high nigh pure touchsreen mechanic. (Learning how to push the DS's interactive qualities to their limits essentially.) This game gave me days of pure enjoyment.... And the story was just as good. Tho, i did think it to be a bit of bull crap when it's like "hey you survived the week! But screw you neku, go back to hell :3" Aside from that, one of the best titles for the DS. I have the OST for it too.
BehindTheMask
Never played the game, could never find a copy at walmart. Should I order this game off Amazon...will it be worth the money?
bury the year
I'd say so. It's probably pretty cheap now because it's been out for a while.

bury the year
^^ Also, speculation about the "7 New Days" image or whatever it's called. The Mr. Mew in the picture has a differently-stitched nose than the original, so people on other boards have theorized it's a reproduction. Maybe it's a few years in the future and Shiki's gone mainstream with her fashion designing?
Phantom Roxas
Yeah, I'm guessing that it's a mass-produced Mr. Mew. People are calling her a Mary Sue and are hoping she's not Neku and Shiki's daughter, who presumably got Mr. Mew from Shiki as a hand-me-down.
