Legend Blood [FINISHED, please lock/PG-13/IC] *remake*

Lord Elnaer while merrily drinking his cup of blood, heard a crash somewhere below. He paused for a moment. Probably just one idiotic prisoner escaping or some stupid servant knocking down yet another library shelf. The last time that had happened, there had been a domino effect and a large part of the library's books were scattered about. It had been rather annoying, and of course that servant had to be thrown into the prison just because.

As he thought, a question occurred to him. Why did he build the prison below the castle in the first place- oh, that's right. Because it was easy to access. Not every human within the prison faced execution. Some were brought to him instead, and - nothing else needs to be said.

And so he ignored it.

------------------------

Alsa ran after Feredir, though he worried about the left-behind human, who would no doubt suffer a fate worse than death by Adrian's hands. Unfortunately, the young vampire prince accidentally let his light energy orb drop. Straightaway, the area was flooded with light, blinding everyone. He managed to hear someone appear, possibly a vampire soldier (it was actually Niasa von Mira), and thus he decided to take the initiative.

"Follow me, I know the way out!" He called to the elf, and grabbed his hand before running past the blinded vampire soldier (again, actually Niasa).

He knew where to run off to even when blinded, and so he used his legs to run. Being the equivalent of a thirteen-year-old, he was slow for a vampire, but it was also comparable to the speed of an ordinary adult. They were in the library, so he assumed, and so he kept on running with Feredir to the end of the library. Hopefully, that Iron Dragon guy knew how to hold himself together, because he knew that neither he nor Feredir by themselves would be able to escape without that guy...

------------------

"Alright. You probably should, and we'll meet up again tonight." John nodded. He ignored her distorted growl, preferring not to ask about it. "Though it might be a bit more difficult without..."

He glanced at her tail nervously, before she asked about Lyon.

"No." He replied without thinking. "I don't like him, and I don't trust him... however, I hate to say it but we have to put somebody on the throne after that Elnaer creep's taken down...and he - Lyon von Mira - seems to be the best candidate for that, for the sake of all mankind. I won't trust Niasa with it."

"Gaaah, what is going on!" Niasa expected that the elf would probably kill her while blinded, but realized he would have no weapons. When Niasa opened her eyes, the elf was gone. Niasa climbed down into the hole trying to fnd some sort of evidence as to what was going on here. Something blue caught her eyes she lifted it up a ripped piece of clothing that made her eyes brim with tears, becuase she knew this cloak it was the favorite cloak of her brother Alsa. "Alsa, are you done here, Alsa please answer me, it's me Niasa Alsa von Mira your scaring me come out now!" Niasa screamed not realizing two people had left the prison. She then noticed the one who had sprouted fire and immedeately ran over to him to see if he was okay.

"Sir are you okay I could help if you like,"Niasa timidly walked over to the flame man, and for the first in her life she was scared.

"I would have prefered you to agree to come with me without resisting. Besides, that knight in shining armour who would save you, that would be Shanna I'm guessing. If so, you should be more worried about yourself and your precious experiment than about me, John is the one so utterly taken with her, not me. In her current state, I wouldn't hesitate to kill her if necesary, and you along with her." By this time the fog was rather thick, visible on the road and from the surrounding area, and covering both of them to the point where visibility was only possible to just past the tips of their noses. Walking sideways, Lyon started to say one more thing, as he walked, barely making any sound as he did.

"You belive you can defeat me."
*Step*
"You belive you can kill me."
*Step*
"How do you intend to shoot me"
*Step*
"when you can't"
*Step*
"even"
*Step*
"See."

With that last word, Lyon carefully reversed his direction, slowly walking back through the fog in the other direction, until he passed his starting point and went slightly back in the other direction.

Clarice listened attentively to Shanna tell this tale about a botched mission and she kept glancing at John who seemed to believe it. So let me get this straight. You've been gone for I don't know how many days in vampire territory and you somehow ended up as this and you don't remember anything? Clarice was torn, surely another female wouldn't blatantly lie to her like that, women must stick together in unity against the oppressive man-o-centric society they certainly can't be lying to each other. She then watched as the girl in front of her looked back towards Lyon in the distance and proceeded to question John. Clarice didn't want to alarm the ninja that she was suspicious but at the same time the fowl wench might just have to be the camps last meal.

Unfortunately Clarice knew that John wouldn't allow the shark girl to be clubbed to death even if she was a traitor. If she was captured by Vampires then it is possible that she could be under some form of mind control and that is what is causing this whole incident. Well shark-girl did mention Lyon, maybe that was an safe exit strategy and of course that would be a perfect excuse to get her alone.

Hey you know what? Clarice said with enthusiasm I will escort you back up the path to the town. Give us girls some time to chat and whatnot. I'll see you in a little while John. John should know full well that with Clarice's magic she could easily cover the distance between her and the castle within a matter of moments. Just had to make sure to keep the informant safe. She waited for Shanna to give the okay...her gaze upon Shanna did make it seem as if there was no other choice in the matter however.

As Feredir called out about a staircase, Iron Dragon's blazing claws were the first things to make contact with the crack after the elf's own hands. Well of course there was the problem of the telekinetic sword pressed against his claw but given that it was simply being forced downward, he removed his claw from its position and the blade went slamming into the ground, this happening prior to his clawing the wall of course. Given he was already in place, any blinding that might have effected him had no effect on his tearing open the wall so as to allow them access to the staircase beyond. What with there being a huge f***ing hole in the wall now, he was fairly certain that the other human in the prison would be following them very shortly up above. Thanks to his less than natural origin, his eyes were able to rapidly recover from the blinding flash and thus he found his way swiftly up the staircase behind Asla and Feredir...

Only to find that they were now out in the castle library, and once he turned his gaze down to the princess before him a flood of memories rushed to his mind, leading him to grip his head briefly with both hands. However it was a brief flood, and gave him only the knowledge of who this vampiress was and a bit of her history.

"Sir are you okay I could help if you like," came the timid statement from the girl before him. He reverted his blazing claws back to hands, leaving any sort of fire surrounding them to dissipate as they rapidly cooled.

"There is one way you could help us all," He began, turning his glass green eyes down to the girl and smiling widely. Now out in the light, it could be readily seen that his skin was of an unnatural color and his head had no hair upon it, not even facial hair. "Could you show us to where the royal scientists study objects of elvish origin?" He wasn't sure how he knew she would know where that was or how he knew anything about the vampires researching elvish artifacts. One thing he was certain of though was that any equipment Feredir would have had was there and that his own armor was likely there as well.

Being shoved out of the way by an unruly princess was insulting to Adrian, and he was very tempted to attack her there and then, but refrained himself. There would be some slight trouble at this point, even if the news didn't become a major breakout. He sighed and hooked the swords onto his belt; one sheath on either side.

Convinced that he had done his job properly, and that the prisoners were contained, he moved back towards his office, where he could see from underneath the door that the lights of dawn were growing. He opened the door calmly, a sincerely happy smile upon his face, and grabbed the glass of Blood upon the table, draining it quickly. He sighed and smacked his lips quickly, placing the glass carefully upon the table. He turned next to the hangers for his blades, and was about to unclip the swords when he heard yet another noise, from the same place. "Crap." He hissed to himself, grabbing all 5 swords this time and attaching them to him in a simple arrangement, one sword on his right hip, two on his left and 2 on his left shoulder. He then ran quickly down the corridor, a mere blur to the 'vermin' in the ordinary cells.

He was back at the wall within seconds, and opened it quickly with the lever to find that the place was empty. He was unaware of the secret passage at the back, and it had been closed before he got there. "Dammit!" He cried, punching his fist against the nearest cell bars, where it knocked the entire door off it's hinges and crashing into the wall at the back of the cell. "Elnaer's gonna be pissed." He muttered as he turned and stormed out of the prison, chopping the hands off of any unfortunate soul that had them hanging out of the bars.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Feredir moved quickly and quietly throught the tunnels underground, silent in the darkness. Within moments, he had reached the exit of the dark caverns, what appeared to be a cliché secret bookshelf door, one that opened simply at his touch. He ignored the Girl who was in the room staring at them and instead moved around the library, attempting to read the strange characters upon the labels as Iron Dragon took care of the young girl.
"What a strange alphabet. The language is so crude in its design." Feredir mumbled to himself, picking out a book at random and flicking through the pages. The script of the elves was much more elegant and graceful, and it made a book appear to be a piece of art. This simple alphabet was straight and jagged, a pain for his eyes. He sighed and returned the book before he placed the two forefingers of his right hand to his temple. A small blue spark jumped from the finger, and his eyes flashed orange for a moment. He then picked up a different book, understanding the title easily. He flicked through the pages quickly, taking in the information. History of the Vampiric Race; Rise of the Holy Shadows it was named, and his brain automatically memorized it. "I'll need it later." He muttered, placing the book down and turning to face the rest of the library. "Such a beautiful place this is. A store room of knowledge from millenia, all in one place. Truely amazing." He muttered, moving back to the small group, over-hearing about the studying of Elven Technology.
Although Luis accepted the fact that he was going to need to fight to escape it ended up that he didn't need to do anything. Instead two other prisoners did the job for him. "Thank god, I couldn't see much anyways." He mumbled to himself as they began to escape through the now hole in the wall. He was quiet and was behind everyone the whole way, so far that to the group it didn't look as if he was following. He was in fact in back to stall any vampire that followed, good thing he didn't need to. As they waled trough the cavern a sudden flash appeared, hurting Luis' eyes, but not as much as those where the flash occurred. "Dam it, now I really can't see." Luis stopped moving to let his eyes adjust again to the amount of light in the cavern, the he once again moved.
The whole group was now at the library, Luis was still in the cavern. He appeared at the library about a minute after everyone had gotten there. "Don't think you'll leave me behind" he told the group. He then turned to Iron Dragon, "So that's what you look like." He turned to see everyone else. "Well its nice to know how my cell mates look like isn't it."
"I...I can't do that, I'm sorry sir, but I'm loyal to my king and I won't betray him,"Niasa answered in a detached manner, her eyes brimmed with tears her only concern was the person in front of her. Her younger brother Alsa von Mira, her supposedly dead brother.
"Is it really you, please tell me I'm not hallucinating, I can't lose you again,"Niasa reached out and toke her brothers hand as if to make sure it was real,"Your back, Elnear will be so happy he'll kill that traitor Adrian for locking you up,"Niasa said this, but she knew in her heart that it had been Elnear who had imprisoned little Alsa, her dear sweet baby brother, and so in shock Niasa did the only logical thing and fainted.
"S- s- sister...?!"
Alsa reacted in surprise when he saw his dear older sister, the sudden flash disappearing. He smiled happily and was about to run over and hug her when she, well, fainted. Well, that was too bad. He was really relieved that she was okay and all, but right now they had to escape this place.
"We need to leave this place before my brother finds out. He's five floors above the library, but if somebody informs him, then we're all doomed." He told the rest, before turning to Iron Dragon and Feredir. "Thank you for helping me escape the prison...but we have to leave now, armor or no armor. Adrian will recover soon, and guards will probably find out-"
As if on cue, a small squad of armored vampires ran into the library having heard all the noise, they were all wielding guns. They were just ordinary guards, but to any inexperienced warrior they were still very dangerous. A single gunshot was fired, but once they saw Niasa unconscious, they hesitated in continuing. It appeared as though they had taken the vampire princess as a hostage...
---------------------
Meanwhile, Lord Elnaer heard a gun being fired five floors below. He rose from his throne.
"Will somebody please inform me what the bloody hell is going on below?!" He demanded, his voice echoing throughout the entire floor and demanding that someone appear this instant.
----------------------------
John nodded.
"Good idea." He said, agreeing with Clarice for once, before turning to Shanna. "Well?"
'Alright, but I'm going to have to go on ahead,' was the last thing Shanna had signed before she turned and slithered away. She knew Clarice would follow anyway, but Kaname could very well be expecting Shanna to return on her own. If Shanna could make a quick information to her new master before Clarice could catch up, then Clarice would remain unaware that Shanna had been forced to swap sides. Still, she hated to arise the suspicion of being a double agent.
...
"You will fall, traitor!" Kaname called out to wear Lyon was walking, "Whether it be by my hand, or those from your own allies!"
Whether Lyon heard this or not, Kaname didn't care. He had more important concerns about that traitorous vampires, such as whether not he'd spill the beans on Shanna's true diplomacy, and whether or not the humans would even take heed of it. Still, Kaname could only assume that Lyon had returned to the base. His eyes were powerful, but not even to see any further through the fog than any human would normally see through the night. Perhaps Kaname's best option was to move on. After all, one of the humans could easily accompany Shanna on her way out. But for now, Kaname sunk into the background of the forest.
"Trust me on this my vampiric friend" He whispered as he moved to a position in front of the group and then gestured towards the guards before them, the hand with which he did shifting into a blazing claw with the same flash of heat and sudden brightness as it had before. "Listen up!" He spoke in a loud voice, meaning to get the attention of the guards well enough so that they would listen to him, "Your princess is our captive, and unless you do as we say I'll be painting these walls with her intestines." He flexed his claw for effect, hoping to trick the guards into thinking they meant business.
"You will escort us to the research chambers where Elvish artifacts are being examined and ensure that no one tells your king about it. I will know if you send someone and the girl will die if you do." He paused there for a moment, his blazing claw still aimed directly at the guards ahead of him while his free hand now shifted into an identical claw and was aimed towards the princess. He wasn't exactly sure how these guards would react to what he was saying, but he certainly hoped that this was going to work. I mean this was a plan he'd come up with on the spot and didn't really have an alternative to. Well he did have an alternative but didn't like the odds of them escaping if they had to fight their way out. Right now what he needed most to was get everyone to where he and the elf could re-equip themselves and from there they could escape the city. He had heard of a camp where the human forces were gathering in defiance of lord Elnaer, and that was where he intended to take the group accompanying him once they escaped. He briefly turned his head towards the prince holding his unconscious sister and tried to offer a comforting look before turning back to the guards, intentionally making himself look insane.
"Well what are you waiting for an invitation? Get us where we need to go!"
The guards were nervous, not wanting to obey this escaped prisoner's orders, but he did have the vampire princess as a hostage. They were also frightened and confused, for beside him there was a pointy-eared humanoid thing and a reanimated young zombie vampire prince. Although, unbeknownst to Iron Dragon, one of them had already run away before they knew that there was a hostage, and was on his way through five floors to inform Lord Elnaer of the current situation.
The two guards glanced at each other, before nodding.
"...Very well, the research chamber...is this way." A vampire guard told him, and he led the way.
There were three vampire guards in total, and one of them was in fact a royal guard, merely hidden amongst the ranks of the normal guards. His name was Vanir, and he was the one leading the way to the chamber. He led them into a corner of the library where an iron door lay. He revealed a key, in the shape of an elven letter, before using it to unlock the door. Then he opened it, before leading them inside.
Within the iron door from the library, lay something that looked like a library, but also completely different from the usual one. The bookshelves were made of wood instead of metal, and the books - every one of them - looked ancient. Within was Iron Dragon's armor, but Feredir's equipment seemed to be missing. Some of the books were merely ancient storybooks, from the times of humans when they 'supposedly' interacted with elves. One of these books even claimed that the humans were responsible for the elves' extinction.
Vanir turned to face the prisoner.
"I've brought you here. Now release the princess." He said, preparing to use his sword just in case.
Poor Shanna there was no escaping Clarice, her magic granted her the speed of lightning. She literally kill and filet the shark girl and be back at camp before anyone could notice. Not that it mattered though this whole I'm going up ahead business just aroused more suspicion. Clarice decided to let the ninja get a few steps...slithers ahead just to make her feel more comfortable, but there was no way for anything to escape her notice unless it was written in some kind of specific code that she couldn't understand. As the two made their way through the forest Clarice made out a small fog bank up in the trees behind some rocks. Odd there was no speak of a fog bank by the scouts. Very interesting indeed. The only one who could do something to that effect was Lyon...Was the stuck-up vampire now plotting an attack, no it would be too soon and John would behead him without a moments hesitation. Then that means he could be on the defensive...CRAP BANDITS!! Wait not crap, GLORIOUS SLAUGHTER! Clarice thought to herself as the two...proceeded. Then again a vampire wouldn't need to hide from bandits he could just snap their faces. This just gets weirder and weirder. It was at that moment Clarice looked at Shanna's lower half. Her eye started twitching madly as 2 and 2 were starting to make 4.
Hey Shanna how did you get out of Vampire city like that anyway? I mean you clearly can't be that stealthy anymore...right?
Lyon closed his eyes, completely paying attention to what he could sense through his abilities with the fog he had created. Drawing on the moisture from the fog bank, Lyon called it around him, condensing the moisture further, until it became a torrent of water spiraling around him and above the height of the trees. Releasing it from the spiral shape, he opened his eyes again as the water collapsed and exploded outwards, covering the immediate area in a layer of water. "I will expose you and Shanna for what you truly are, and through that, I'll put to rest his misconcieved ideas about how good she is." Lyon reached into the water, drawing a small portion up in front of him as he detatched a crossbow from his belt, clicking a mechanism on it to draw back the string ready to fire. Then, he brought the water into the crossbow in the shape of a bolt, which he then froze into a crossbow bolt made out of ice, loaded into his crossbow.
'Maybe not, but you forget that I have some powerful ninjitsu spells up my sleeve as well,' Shanna smirked as she signed this, 'I just used some of them,'
Well... that was a half-truth. Shanna did in fact use her ninjitsu skills whilst in Nuevedia, but that was only to break into the city. Not out of it. Not that Clarice would realistically know this difference; she wasn't there when Shanna had botched her spying mission. However, that twitching of Clarice's eye was starting to get on Shanna's nerves. She was hoping to return to Kaname's side in one piece, not as shark fin soup. She was unaware that she also had Lyon to worry about.
However, as the two women entered the fog bank, it just... disappeared. In its place was a torrent water spiraling around Lyon. That could only mean one thing... he was about to attack someone. Shanna didn't see anyone to attack though... not even Kaname. He had already walked away before Lyon could charge his attack.
'Alright, just what the f*** is wrong with you?!' Shanna signed aggressively at Lyon.
Screams shot through the air and blood flowed through the streets as a small village tried to defend itself from the enemy. To the untrained eye, one would think the village was ransacked by at least a company of men, but for the villagers, the enemy was far fewer in number and far more threatening.
A group of militia entered the ruined and burning square, desperately looking for the one responsible. However, the enemy was no where to be seen. The only thing they could hear was the sound of raging fire and the distance lamentation of a new widow. The men nervously looked in all directions, their spears and halberds dully knocking against their makeshift armor. Silently, the leader signaled to split up to look for survivors. Acting appropriately, the group broke into three teams and went in opposite directions, tending to the bodies of the fallen and moving rubble away in the hopes of finding survivors. One team entered the town stone watchtower which had survived the onslaught.
It wasn't long after the militia had entered the tower when the tower was struck by an unnatural tremor. The tower destabilized and came crashing down, taking the lives of all the men inside it with it. Startled, the other two teams rushed to the site, desperately trying to move the stones out of the way. One man emerged from the rubble, bloodied but still able to stand. However, before his comrades could react, a glowing red blade penetrated through his chest. His comrades watched in horror as he drew a straggled breath before being pushed off the blade by the assailant. As the corpse rolled down the pile of rubble, the assailant emerged from the shadow and into the light of the fire.
Glowing red eyes, curved horns, a deathly pale body covered in otherworldly marks and two terrible curved blades on each arm defined the otherwise beautiful monster before them. The surviving men grew pale as they rubbed their eyes in disbelief. The Ghost of Chaos. Only legends, rumors and the ravings of madmen spoke of the being, yet the being stood before them, covered in the blood of their sons and wives. The militia stood still for a moment before one let loose his battle cry, followed by the rest.
Raven chuckled as the vampires charged her, thinking they could even dream of harming her. With a single movement, she charged in between the spears of two militia, slicing open their necks from the sides, and disappeared. She reappeared behind the militia trying to draw their bows, stabbing through their helmets and into the backs of their heads. The disoriented men desperately tried to save the rest of their archers, but by the time they had turned back, the archers were all dead. Raven turned to face the rest of the militia. With ease, Raven dodged the poorly executed thrusts and slashes from the enemy bills, parrying the tips into the ground. When the militia were trying to pull out their spears out of the ground, Raven changed her arm blades into a greatsword, swinging the blade in a mighty spin. Most of the militia were slain in this mighty blow, but the ones who survived did not live for long when Raven finished them off with a stab through the neck.
Satisfied with her work, Raven unsummoned her blades, which dissolved into the night air. Walking out of the village and onto a nearby hill, she was able to get a good view of the burning village. The vampires had taken from her everything and now Raven felt that she was simply returning the favor.
Before she could walk far, she felt a distinct ache in the back of her head. Her master was calling for her. Stopping in a grove of trees, she drew a series of runes on the ground on a pentagram. As she finished the last rune, the entire drawing glowed and a stream of purple mist shot from the centre of the circle. After a short time, the mist began to talk, glowing as it did.
"Ah, I have watched over your newest harvest. You have served me and the balance of the cosmos well, my dear servant," the daemon spoke from the mist.
"I will always serve you with all my strength and soul my lord," Raven replied, bowing deeply to the daemon in the mist.
"Indeed you have and will do for the rest of time," the daemon said, pausing before continuing, "However, your duty is yet to be finished."
"I will not rest until you and the cosmos are pleased, my lord."
"You must find the human rebels and aid them in their struggle against the new vampire prince."
Raven eyes widened in disbelief.
"My lord, you wish to cause chaos to the humans by allowing them to prevail against the vampires?"
The daemon chuckled.
"No, I do still wish for the humans to suffer. However, the vampire prince has acquired a power that can wipe all humans from existence. If I allowed this to happen, the vampires will have no one to wage war with. There would be little room for chaos."
"Surely just slaying the prince himself would be the quickest way-"
"When have we ever done anything the quickest way? Surely your inevitable betrayal will cause much more pain and suffering for the humans rather than doing their work for them. We will speak no further. Do not fail me."
Raven grimaced as the mist stop flowing and the runes dissolved into the earth. To help those who refused to help in her most desperate hour was something she found disgusting. In a fit of frustration, she felled a nearby tree with a swing of her blade before leaving for the nearest town.
----
Finding the main rebel camp was not hard for Raven. The first human she revealed her self to instantly caved and told her the location. Approaching the camp with her hood up, she could see the new recruits trying to get ready for the battle they would face later that night. The guards at the entrance said something about stopping, but Raven paid them no mind. The camp was rather built up for a temporary camp that had to be moved at a moment's notice. Such camps reminded Raven of the camps of the humans who refused to give another of their own asylum from the terrors of the night. Raven was jarred out of her memories when one of the guards grabbed her arm.
"You can't be here! Show your pass or it's off to jail with you!"
The stern demands were soon followed with screams of shock and pain as the guard soon found himself missing a hand, blood gushing from the stump. Raven removed the hand, still clenched to her arm, and threw it into the mud in front of the guard. His comrade quickly charged, thrusting his sword at Raven. The blade ran through Raven's riding cloak, but missed its mark. Raven spun, using the cloak as a distraction, and sliced the sword down its centre, down to the hilt. When the guard removed the cloak from his sword, he first saw that his blade had been destroyed, then saw that his opponent was a beast of legend. Taking advantage of the opening, Raven kicked the man in the face with a jump kick despite the weight of her skirt, sending him into a nearby tent which collapsed over him. The rest of the soldiers in the camp were either too scared to confront Raven and just stared at her in stunned silence. Raven scanned the tents for a visible leader before announcing:
"Bring me your leader! The lord of chaos demands it!"
"There is no need for such a destructive entrance." John responded to this so-called lord of chaos. "It would've been much better had you simply asked for me in the first place."
Appearing over the tents, he walked over to the dark figure who dared chop off a guard's hand. Though in a way, it was kind of the guard's fault. The problem is that the job of being a 'guard' for the camp was something that changed everyday, so everyone had their turn at being it. Some were good at their job, nice and polite, while others were simply baffoons. This one happened to be one of those birdbrained idiots who got themselves almost killed...
While he appeared calm, he was actually quite furious at this stranger for doing this to a soldier. He motioned for someone to go get the guard, heal him, and reattach his hand.
"A girl shouldn't be conducting such violence anyhow." He muttered, audible enough for Raven to hear, before speaking to her. "I assume you wish to join us? It's a little late, as the infiltration of Nuevida begins tonight, but I will still allow your kind here. But it depends... are you human?"
He glanced over her shoulder just in case she had been followed or had someone accompanying her. There was nobody. The Phoenix apparently couldn't figure out her identity.
There was not much to say about Iron Dragon's desire to deal with vampires, but one thing that could be said was that he was a man of his word. Before they could protest he shoved the rest of the group into the room but took the princess from Asla rather than keep them together and while he did not want to separate the two of them he had a bargain to hold good on. He gently held the unconscious princess in his arms, his hands having since reverted back to such a state as not being lethal to the girl he was holding, but positioned so that he could easily crush her if the vampires got any ideas.
He backed into the door, waiting until he was just behind the threshold and then, slowly, lowering the girl to the ground just outside the door. The very second he had laid her on the floor, he burst back from her and slammed the iron door shut with all his strength. Perhaps the slightest hint of something which could have proved that Iron Dragon was not a demon could be seen flashing through his eyes in the instant that his gaze was forced to meet the guards. Something, well, mortal for lack of a better word. Perhaps, were Vanir well enough able to read a person's face, he would see in the metal beings eyes that he never had any intention of harming the princess at all.
"Alright, gather what we can use and let's get out of here. There's bound to be a few Elvish artifacts here aside from my armor." He spoke with urgency once the doors had been shut, and quickly began to don his segmented armor. Perhaps Feredir would recognize the symbols upon it as having some sort of meaning, and furthermore there being some significance to the blood red coloration thereof. However, there was little time to muse on such things, as Iron quickly pulled the armor over himself...but paused for a moment as he grabbed hold of his helm. For a that moment he just stared down at the metallic recreation of a dragon's head, wondering who if it had been made by the scientist he was accused of killing, Sa'Lien he'd heard his name was, and to what end any of it had been made. He managed to shake those thoughts away and pull the helm onto his head, completing his intimidating visage. "Let's move."
Clarice had listened to the girls story about ninjutsu, it was logical enough ninjas can do ninja like things to survive. That is the way the world works. Though the twitching temporarily stopped she noticed as the fog bank started rolling backwards which could mean that whatever Lyon was doing was simply over. Of course at that point shark girl being more attentive made these erratic hand gestures and she decided to look up. "OH SO HE WANTS TO DIE" she thought as she was about enter combat and deliver a great smiting, but then 2+2 were getting closer to 4. Wait a minute. Lyon would never do such a blatantly slow long range move against me the prep time alone is enough to kill him ten times over no matter how high in the air he is. She looked down at Shanna and realized that was the intended target is mute ninja. And then it happened one of the great mysteries of the universe had been solved. 2+2=4 yes it makes sense now the only thing Lyon would need to defend against is another vampire. Mute, ninja could leave the city as a slithering shark if she was escorted.
Of course this was just a theory, it could easily be true that she used ninja art blah blah blah and escaped, Lyon could have been training by himself because he's moody like that, and if Clarice kidnapped someone then wiping their memory if possible is the smart thing to do. Though odd she can remember this location just nothing else. A ripple was formed at Clarice's side and a handle poked out Clarice looked at the Shark girl and drew a claymore and she made eye contact with Shanna with a somewhat menacing glare.
Hey Shanna maybe we should head back to the camp and tell John about Lyon here. Of course this blatant lie could be seen through with ease but if lies were going to be told one might as well return the favor. She was about to approach the shark girl and dabble in a two against one but then...
There were screams and Clarice immediately turned her head towards camp. She could sense that malice, the darkness, the chaos. Had someone dared to invade home? Is this what the mute ninja girl was sent for? No matter Lyon would have to kill deal with her. Pity having a cripple female dealt with by a vampire male. Such dishonor to the gender. However Clarice literally vanished in a flash. Boosting her magic to the fullest she had fully made it back to camp and gave a quick circle around to make sure only the egocentric male guards were injured. She saw the cloaked figure as it was proceeding to talk to John sure he was acting calm about it, but he was the leader, he had to. Clarice on the other hand jumped over John's back armed with two massive axes, her eyes radiating black sparks from her magic, and did a cross chop at this figure.
The corridors of the castle were repetitive; almost identical to one another. Simply walking among them was a boring task, and someone unfamiliar with the castle could easily get lost in the maze of halls. Luckily, there were small things that helped identify the different places - such as a specific painting on a wall, or a damaged bust - which were obvious to regulars like Adrian.
He sped through the corridors at terrific speed, startling many of the aristocrats that walked the other way. However, none dared argue with him, for his reputation preceded him and his fully kitted out state was slightly alarming to them. He was aiming for the Lord's chambers, for he must know that the Elf has escaped. "This wont be a fun day." He muttered to himself, leaping up a flight of stairs in one bound.
He passed a group of guards as he ran through the corridors a level above the prison, none directly under his command, but accepting of his superiority. "Prisoners have escaped, you fools! Find them!" He ordered, throwing his fist in the direction of the Library. "Do not let them escape! Kill them if you have to!" He commanded, before setting off again.
He arrived at the Throne room shortly, and calmed himself down has he knocked on the grand door. He would've waited for his Liege's command, but he then heard the gunshots from below and the shouting of his master. As such, he threw open the doors and knelt to his master. "The prisoners from cell block 0 have escaped. The Elf, the Prince, the Machine and the Pacifist." He stated, gulping as he awaited his master's response.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The arrival of the guards surprised the elf. They had been a hidden set of prisoners, guarded by Adrian and him alone. That there were other guards after them meant that they were no longer too valuable to kill. Sighing, Feredir rubbed his hands together and prepared to unleash some protective magic, when the Dragon had a better idea. Though it was less honourable than he liked, the hostage was affective.

The guards caved almost instantly, and the leader of the group lead them to the place where Elven artifacts were stored. Feredir thanked him before Iron dragon could slam the door shut, and hoped that it wouldn't make the vampires hate them so much.
But his attention to this was taken away when he turned. It was not a bright room, lit only by a few candles, but what he saw was amazing. He wandered around the bookshelves, recognising only a few tales from his own time. However, he did notice a lot of books from after his time, ones of the Elves after the wars. Most seemed to be stories, and any non-fictional books about the Elves seemed to be little more than speculation, but Feredir was drawn in either way. Many of the books were written in his own language, a dialect so beautiful to him, and he drew upon these first, noticing in one of the Elvish books a sheet with translations on it. "Incredible." He whispered to himself as he read through the pages.

He placed the book back down as Iron Dragon restored the armour to his body, confused about the similarity in design to Elvish Armour of old. He shrugged and turned to find his own weaponry, searching through the entire room.

There they were. Right at the back. Hung up on the wall like trophies and displayed. He smiled and walked slowly over to them, gracefully lifting the knives on the bottom off of their hangings first, unsheathing each one to look upon the blades once again. Such beauty and elegance he saw in these knives, not a single scratch on the metal, and he smiled, re-attaching them to his belt for the first time in 3000 years.

But where was the Bow? The magnificent bow, one of a Kind, enchanted with the power of the forest? The quiver, filled with nigh indestructible arrows? Only the knives remained, each beautiful in its own right. But they could not match the value of the Bow, neither in sentiment or power. He sighed and drew one of the knives, and looked up and down the blade before flinging it to the left, where it hit the wall perfectly perpendicular, embedded deep within the stone. "Still good, I guess." He muttered, walking carefully over to the Blade and pulling it out of the wall, sheathing it once again. "But I need my bow." He added, louder so that the other's could hear.

Niasa awoke to guards above her,"What happened," Niasa demanded immedeatly.

"You were taken hostage, and we forced to lead them to there weapons, to get you back,"answered a guard.

Niasa put on her best spoiled brat princess voice,"You fools you lead them here!?!"For good measure Niasa slashed one of the guards down his neck, her poison laced nails sent the guard down on the ground as he slowly died.

"Leave me I wish to talk to the vermin inside, they will know what happens when you f*** with the vampire princess,"Niasa growled and the guards sped away. Niasa entered the room and slowly clicked the door shut.

"Elnear will be here any minute now, you must hurry also I will have to restrict your escape, to prove my loyalty to him,"Niasa averted her eyes to the floor,"I'm so sorry."

However, as before Clarice could even get close to do a cross chop, a faint shield of flames materialized in her way, though one which threatened to intensity and burn her if she tried to attack the so-called lord of chaos, emanating evil and darkness unlike any other being known to man. Maybe this chaotic woman of was even worse than Lord Elnaer in a way, though unlike him she still had a faint hint of redemption.

"So there are females that even you can hate, Clarice." John noted, before turning back to this lord of chaos. "Now then, allow me to introduce myself. I am the human John Alexander, though I have the famous nickname of 'the Phoenix'. So allow me to repeat myself; are you a human?"

----------------------------------

"WHAT?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!" Lord Elnaer screamed out, right after he heard Adrian's report. "You GODDAMNED USELESS FOOL!"

He rose from his golden throne, hatred seething in his eyes. Sparks of energy cackled all around him, as if his rage itself was so large, so massive that it took shape. The royal family of vampires was unique, for they specialized in the manipulation of energy itself, rather than any specific trivial element such as 'fire' or 'water' or 'illusion'. They were still capable of using those lesser magics, however the manipulation of 'energy' was much more practical.

With speed that surpassed even Adrian's, he stormed out of the throne room and, not bothering to go down the stairs, created a powerful ball of energy and converted it into a large beam that penetrated through all five floors of the castle. Bloodlust in his eyes, he waited.

--------------------------------------

Vanir backed away as the awakened vampire princess went and heavily poisoned one of their own fellow guards. He could still be saved if they hurried, but was currently close to death.

"You heard the princess." He told his fellow guard. "Let's go. We need to save this man's life."

And so the him and the other guard helped the poor poisoned vampire away and out of the room, before rushing towards a medical aid room.

---------------------------------

The guards that Adrian barked at were shaking. They had their weapons at the ready, but they had seen the blast that had penetrated the library roof, and without a doubt that had resulted from Lord Elnaer's power. Therefore, they just stood by the library exit, just in case the escaped prisoners somehow managed to get through him....

--------------------------

"S- s- sister?!" Alsa gasped as his dear sister severely hurt an innocent guard for no particular reason. "...my dear sister, you've become violent these past few years...." He murmured sadly, realizing that there were some things that simply couldn't stay the same after years pass.

Then he turned to the rest of the people within the chamber.

"Feredir, I apologize that your bow is nowhere to be find, but hopefully we can find it on our way out...and you, human with abnormal powers, thank you for helping me escape. I am Alsa von Mira, vampire prince-" He turned around to the iron door's exit, hearing a blast that seemed to have come from the roof outside. "Feredir, Luis, superhuman? Perhaps we should think of a plan before leaving this chamber...my brother may already be waiting...." He turned to his sister.

"Help us. Please." He begged her.

Feredir looked around the room fervently, but to no avail. The bow was nowhere in sight. He could only hope that the vampires had recognised its value and had decided to hide it somewhere else - though, of course, the Lord himself might have it, and that would be bad.
But it didn't matter, Feredir still had some weapons and his strength was returning by the second. He reckoned that by the night his power would increase exponentially. He sighed and moved over to the group beside the door, merely shrugging to Alsa as he apologized for the loss of the Bow. "It matters not for now. Our lives are more important than my Bow." He stated, though it was rather hollow.

He was careful around Niasa. She wasn't particularly trust worthy, and though she seem sincere about wishing to help them, she had just poisoned a man. She was dangerous, and he didn't know if she would be much of a help in escaping. As such, he proceeded to look around the room again, hoping for an escape. Or at least, he started to. He took merely a few steps before he felt it. A massive disturbance in the Magicks of the area. A massive power, looming over them. A strength that nearly rivalled that of a full strength Elf Mage. Which was disturbing.

He went back to the door and peeked out at the surrounding area, only to see chaos. A massive beam of energy had torn through the room, and seemed to go upwards for 4, maybe 5, floors. Feredir's eyes widened at this impressive display of magick, and started to attempt to think of a way to counter it. No way could he take on such power in his current condition, he would barely be able to hold him off for 5 minutes, 10 if he was lucky. But they had to escape somehow.

"I'll distract him, you lot run for it. I'll be able to escape, I think, if there is a clear route." He stated, opening the door slowly and quietly. He spotted slight movement at the other end of the Library, where there were 5 guards situated at what seemed to be the only exits. "You may have to take out some guards along the way, if Niasa cant convince them to move." He added, before sneaking out into the open. He took a couple of steps into the centre of the room, at an angle where he could see the Vampire lord's feet, but was invisible to the Vampire himself. Let's see if this works. Feredir wondered, spotting a plant in the room below the Vampire lord.

Feredir out-stretched his arm and started to twist his hand slowly, moving it in a circle. The plant seemed to listen to the flow of magick that erupted smoothly out of Feredir's arm, and grew rather quickly. It soon reached the ceiling, at which point it broke through the roof above and emerged from the floor behind Elnaer, where it struck at him.

Lord Elnaer had just been about to make the long jump and slam down into the ground when a plant suddenly engulfed the hole and attacked him. Annoyed, he began to form a powerful orb of energy with his hands before using it to obliterate the overgrowing green flower. This was obviously the work of the elf, having escaped along with this others. This may prove more difficult than he had previously anticipated. Ignoring Adrian for the moment, he fired another beam of surging energy straightaway which obliterated the plant right down to its roots, leaving a small crater within the library and unfortunately destroying a few books in the process.

The shockwave caused a few of the towering bookshelves to fall down, crashing down against each other and creating a domino effect. Within but a minute, all the bookshelves had tumbled down and books were scattered about everywhere, the library itself in ruins. The royal librarian, once he came back from his one-day vacation, would most likely end up horrified. But the library, the floors, all of it paled in comparison.

The important thing was that the elf stayed. Nothing else mattered.

A large trail of smoke had replaced the obliterated plant, and Elnaer used this as his cover as he dived down through the five floors. He came crashing down into the library, and as he landed- well, the library floor had been completely penetrated, and he accidentally fell down into the prison built below it, buying the elf about ten seconds of time before he jumped right back up, a look of hatred in his eyes.

"You pathetic little elf----!!!!"

Charging up a ball of energy with his hands, he fired it at Feredir, though curiously enough it wasn't so powerful so as to obliterate him, only perhaps burn and damage him. It was as if Elnaer had been holding back, as if he wanted the elf alive...

--------------------

"Feredir..." Alsa muttered sadly, avoiding all the bookshelves as they all collapsed two-by-twos in a domino effect that threatened to crush anyone below one. He glanced at the others. "Well, what are you waiting for? While my brother is occupied, let's get out of here...!" He pointed at the exit, where five guards nervously stood, well, on guard. Though they all seemed to be pretty afraid of Elnaer's power.

He also watched as Vanir and his fellow guard carry the dying vampire guard injured by Niasa through the exit, leaving the battlefield to heal their fallen comrade before it was too late.
