Good ''Guys'' and winning >_>

i like it when good triumphs over evil, but same times came on! its like the good guys are destined to win eg. in transformers 3 at the end sentinel and the decepticons control earth then same how they stop their plan and kill all the bad guys, and win the day. It was so boring at the climax i already knew how the movie was going to end and it don't even put me at the end of my sit. Movie, series etc that i like its when they don't make it so inevitable for the good guys to win eg. inception and homeland the series.

People like boxes. There is a box for good guys. Then, there is a box for bad guys. It's all just a mind game, so you can explain the world in a black and white fashion. There never was, is, or will be that truth. People are driven by incentives, and you relate to those incentives and actions to decide which one you will label as good. Take, terrorism, the western world is conceited, greedy. and dark. Those of the middle-east who disagree with that, can be understood. They don't want it, they enjoy whatever prosperity and lifestyle that they have been living. However, when we stick our nose in places we think we belong, others don't. Now the it is only the extremists that actually perform civilian attacks, and bombing, and all sorts of bad stuff. But we have extremists too, they're the ones who want to wipe out those people. It's all perspective, and good and evil will never exist.

I know the feeling. Especially in the Nature Vs Human films, the Humans managed to stupidly discover the one thing that could save the day and they get so lucky it's just stupid. Seen that in cartoons like in Meapless in Seattle (Phineas and Ferb) where they just happen to discover that Isabella's cuteness can be used to defeat Mitch after everything is looking very bad for the good guys. (Cuteonium as an evil weapon come on). Pokemon is another prime example (well the anime anyway). There probably a million and one examples

It can be disturbing if it goes the other way thought like Audrey II managing to eat Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors thus ending his chances of finally killing the human eating plant. (I prefer the musical version's ending where Seymour with Audrey's help manage to kill the plant.) In programs like CSI and Bones it can feel a little refreshing because you know next time the villain will really get it.

Look at reality.
Hitler was evil. We defeated him. (AND DON'T SAY: "OH BUT PEOPLE THOUGHT HITLER WAS A HERO").
Starting a genocide against certain kinds of human beings is not being a hero.

sure ,but hitler was defeated cause he was stupid and thought he could take on the world also because the allies had bigger and more guns then him. The autobot had a few men and still won the day bullshit, what about all the our hundreds of decepticons and that's the problem the plot line is so obvious in transforms 1 and 2 the odd made more sense cause the autobots where not like a 1 to a 100

First off, the reason the good guys win is because if the BAD GUY won, then everything would've been a waste, and it'd be a super downer.

Second, the good guys don't always win.

that's way you should release a sequel. I would rather have a ''downer'' ending than a boring one, cause a downer make you think and leaves you wanting more eg. in avatar the last airbender, when the fire nation was winning on multiple occasions but that made the victory on the last episode that much sweeter

I agree. I kinda think that since we were raised on pop culture that says to us "This is bad, this is good" we try to apply that to real life. We get an idea into our heads that "this=bad", and not much other people say will change it. Like you said, examples are shown in the case of people hating all middle-easterners. Another thing is that we have to have someone to point the finger to. Political figureheads (presidents etc.) make this easy; a negative event can never be the fault of many people, caused by human fallibility or simply a misstep. It has to be someone's fault (preferrably someone you don't like).

Short version: People are very much attatched to black-and-white morality, sometimes far too literally. There's also no middle ground when considering what's wrong and what's right.

Disclaimer: I may or may not know what I'm talking about.
