It's a -1. Since you're running upstarts, consider running Hope for Escape - it requires skilled play but can generate ridiculous card advantage.

I know it's a -1, but so is Reckless Greed (although that can be used in multiples to mitigate that) and Peace provides protection this deck desperately needs. not only that but this deck can generate constant advantage regardless to make up for that

And I tried Hope. It didn't work well.

These are my suggestions. You can tech in a few Synchros if you side for Raven, or can keep the Xyz loop just fine. On this one, I thing Giga Bright is a little better, and the Djin is a definite Xyz "Growing" beater while making your opponent's monster's useless. Rank 8 is just there because you can get him fairly easy and use him to get rid of problem cards you can't "beat" over...but Mind Control tells me C39 would be better. That's up to you though. 1 one day peace in Deck, side in the second if need be. Triple reckless, 1 Skill drain on Deck, 1 on side for extra support. 1 Torrential, a Starlight for those need be situations, maining a Judgment, siding a Warning (you can switch out for adjustments). Mind Crush mind f***s the opponent especially with 3 Drags, but can easily be sided for 2nd MST, emergency Trance, CyDra for machines, or Smogs. Siding a Deck Devi and Eradicator for 2 new problem decks: Atlanteans/Spellbooks. You crush Spellbooks and they HAVE to scoop. You crush Atlanteans and you just beat them to death. Anyways, these are my pics. The deck is very similar to what Michael Balan brought to YCS, except with a little more flavor for the new format. Enjoy~

I really don't understand where you're going with that

I can understand 1 drain in main/1 in side, but doing that with Peace and 1 MST seems rather... bad. Mind Crush is great and all but you rarely if ever pull off the Dragged combo from what I've tested, and if you have 1 CiH so you can guarantee a favorable discard, you probably would've been better off maining Dark Smog (which also doesn't work out in testing compared to other options)

There are too many 1-of cards in that side deck as well, and siding a single Trance is confusing to me. It could, no, -should- be mained by virtue of Dimensional Prison and Bottomless being mained almost everywhere.

Just because the deck can sack people hard doesn't mean you should solely focus on sacking and hope for the best. I've seen too many people main no outs or ways to get around most of this deck's maindecked problems :I Grapha's destruction effect is -not- enough to rely on.

the reason I set it up like this is because you're not just relying on Grapha (he can't handle the job alone...) but rather support plays with him. An extra MST for Spell/Trap Destruction, Foolish to get him out quicker, etc. Mind Crush is honestly an awesome card, but this is just "the other guy's" opinions. I like it because it's an MST target too. 2 Upstarts because 3 just sacs bad. Dark World's shouldn't even be playing defensively much! They should be having some offence, which is why I only mained 1 One Day Peace for those "just in case" moments where you have crap. 1 Trance is good. Tested 3 = Horrid. Tested 2 = It's bad still, because I'd usually want something else. Tested 1 = This is actually a fair number...and helps me put up more Deck options. Decree works with your set up, but not in a slightly trap moderate deck style like the one I suggested does. But hey...these are just options.

I'm still firmly of the opinion that One Day of Peace is a terrible card in DWs. I know that as a Bubblebeat player DWs are my worst matchup (possibly tied with Chaos Dragons), and I'd love it if a DW player dropped One Day on me to give me a +1 and an extra turn to setup a swarm play after getting rid of Grapha.

Lightning is of rather limited utility, you really ought to have enough ways of dropping your monsters with 3 DWD, 3 Dragged Down, 3 Gates, and 2 Archfiend.

I'd neg those 5 and put something else in. I almost want to tell you to main 2 Lances to help dodge Bottomless/D-Prison along with running over Shining.

Soo.... -3 One Day, -2 Lightning
+2 Lance
+1 Judgment
+2 Something (Torrential/Mirror Force?)

I'd also have a couple of Debunks in the side for the Mirror Match, which look to be increasingly common next format.

I don't play it until my MP2, so I'm not giving anyone an extra turn. I wouldn't use it if I thought I could inflict damage.

I might actually try out Lance though.
