Lucille stepped back in shock. "Volunteers? What are you talking about? I'm here for a technical problem! Someone explain this to me."
A woman from the crowd stepped up behind her and gave Lucille a brief explanation about the Drive Duel beta going on. "This better not be the reason why I can't log out," Lucille replied, "I have a life, you know."
"It will be brief," the woman assured, "Now just duel, and I'll see what we can do."
Lucille let out an annoyed sigh. "This better be brief." She stepped back into the circle to see her opponent. The first thing she noticed was her outfit. It was strange, but she liked it. There was something about it that drew her attention. And the flute was very unique.
"So, Hydra Queen, right? I guess we're opponents today. But first, I have a wager. If I win, you let me play your flute for a few minutes. But if I lose, you can come into my shop for a free dress. And I don't like 'no' as an answer."

"I'm sorry?" Athena asked, snapping back into reality, and turning to Lucille, who was apparently her chosen opponent instead of the eviller one nearby. "Um, yeah, didn't quite catch that, could you repeat that offer of yours...?" After asking this, she observed the field of her enemy, which had a Blue the Driver on it, as well as two facedowns. So in other words, this should be an easy enough enemy to defeat. This woman wouldn't be too much of a problem for her.

"Weeelllll, in any case, I'll start off my turn by- hey, has the duel started yet?" She asked in curiosity, stopping herself before she drew her cards. Just in case, that is.

Bass lifted both his hands above his head.

He sets his hands to his sides and shakes his head

Bass can feel the excitement in his Heart. His soul was burning for this moment! He extends a hand to each of the girls before him.

Bass was in an explosion of excitement. This was the moment he was waiting for, where all his work would pay off, the true potential of Drive!

Bass mimic-ed the actions as he said this and once he did a spell-ring appeared on his chest where his hand was.

A lightning bolt strikes his hand and with it's flash a Duel Disk appears on his arm. He gives them both a warm smile.

Mactastic was simply unimpressed with this blatant display of showmanship, but that wasn't really anyone's fault. He wasn't here for card games just recruiting and trying to get with the times. As he noticed that Mr. Bass was looking at him earlier he felt a little odd, why exactly was the pimp who didn't even want to play the card game special. I mean even his deck was made by one of his girls just trying to be useful. Its not like it takes some skill to wield this deck either. However there was a ripe many fruit here for the picking so Mr. Bass was someone who should be thanked. As for the little blah blah heart and soul speech..meh whatever girls need to tell themselves to make themselves feel better.

"I can hear you, you know." Athena called out to the creepy disgusting man hidden within the audience, somehow being able to hear him from where she was standing, and even when he had just been musing to himself.

She wanted to shout things at him, but then again that would be unfeminine, and to show a guy like him a weakness in feminine elegance would be a horrible mistake. Instead, she kept herself calm, and reassured herself on the part that his reign will soon come to an end. Once she finds his body back in the real world, or once she finds some hacker capable of manifesting her powers in the virtual world, she'll be able to have her pet hydra tear him apart limb by limb, and laugh as he screams in agony and pain, his body parts attached to either with nothing more than thin threads of flesh and nerves, all of it slowly being chewed at by multiple scaly heads who just happen to love the taste of men...

With these twisted unheroic thoughts, she managed to keep herself calm.

"Call me Athena Clearstream. So then, let's get this Drive Duel on the road!!!" She declared to her opponent, unusually enthusiastic. Before she forgot that as well, she stretched out her body a bit in front of the audience before placing her hand in front of her heart. [b][i]"Drive Gauge Activate, Initiate Soul Bind!!!"[/i][/b]

Jigoku giggled when she heard a man shout demented things about Bass's new Feature and such, and it turns out that the man was quite close to her for her liking, Jigoku then turned toward the man and walked toward him, Saying to the poor man [color=#008080]"I would Suggest that you pick your words carefully, Nobody Likes a Demented Wimp who relies on little girls to do their work!"[/color]. Nox and Himura, who were near Jigoku just lost it, They were laughing quite hard at Jigoku's comment toward the man, but Jigoku stared at the man, waiting for a reply from him...

Lucille started to mimic Bass's motions. She didn't really want to do this; only to log out. But she believed she had to to get what she wanted, so she placed her hand over her chest.
"Drive Gauge Activate, Initiate Soul Bind..." She said with reluctance. She placed her left hand above her head and continued her lines "Duel start." Her Duel Disk loaded onto her left arm, and she drew her first 5 cards.
"Now, it was Athena, right? Since you let me, I'll take the first turn. I draw!" Lucille looked at her opening hand, and quickly make her first move.
"I Normal Summon Proto Chroma - Blue the Diver!" A blue ball of ink formed in the center of her field, which morphed into a humanoid shape. "I'll set two cards and end my turn. Now, about that wager... I really would like to play that flute of yours..."

Mactastic was getting attention from people who weren't even in his line of sight or mindset or anything for that matter. Apparently some female had decided to approach him and pursue condescending conversation. Mactastic lost in his own mind didn't really hear her statement so he was slightly confused as to who she could be talking to. He looked around and seeing as he was the only man in the vicinity, but then he looked at this female-esk creature approach. she was androgynous which wasn't good for her marketability, she was crass and clients don't really favor that, her clothing on her own was rather homely, overall analysis...0 worth, 0 profitability, and 0 potential. There was no point in dignifying this...thing with a response maybe it will just go away after a while. Meanwhile the duel was supposedly underway, the flute playing one seemed to have said something but Mactastic being in the back of the crowd didn't hear it.

Nox and Himura Approached the Man from behind Jigoku. The Man wasn't paying any attention to Jigoku, Which actually infuriated Nox, Resulting in her attempting to smack the man and saying [color=#4b0082]"Perhaps this man is not worth anyone's time, since he's too deaf to hear anyone... That Wimp" [/color]that resulted in Himura looking at both Nox and the man and saying [color=#daa520]"Lets ask Jigoku about this man, Is he really worth our time?"[/color] Jigoku thought for a second and determined[color=#008080] "I suppose there is one thing he's worth out time for..." [/color]Which Jigoku walked up to the man with a Wicked Grin on her face and Slapped him upside the head rather harshly before taking her leave back to the front of the crowd...

A nonchalant dodge that seemed second nature quickly dealt with that pathetic assault on his person. But that's all it was a dodge. Such savage creature was not worth effort to talk to and this was further proof of that. When words fail to work with beast of course they resort to violence they don't know any better.Mactastic didn't even waste time thinking about...whatever that was that just attempted to talk and attack him instead this gave way to a new thought. [color=#800080][i]Hmmm maybe I should go into the S&M market there are some sick men out there who get a kick out of that. [/i][/color]His face turned to signs of genuine doubt for a moment though no one could read his thoughts he looked troubled. Mactastic was now the new center of attention apparently. Now someone else has to step up and address their concerns about his profession, though this should have been expected the math was against him. Just as sure as there were many insecure women in the world ripe for pimping there were probably as many if not more of those who had a more defined sense of self and would find such actions of pimp life deplorable. Unfortunately like two oppositely charged magnets these attacks on Big Daddy were never going to land because he just turned to the side and watched the kick fly by. "Alright, sure sure, but only if you [i]win.[/i] So it's my turn now, right? Does that put my Drive at four now? Anyway, I activate the field spell card A Legendary Ocean!"

And then she activated her Field Spell, which took the form of an abandoned structure hidden beneath the sea. She grinned as she did so, though unfortunately it also increased the ATK of her opponent's Krakenlike monster.

"Now that it's activated, all WATER monsters in my hand and on the field have their Levels decreased by 1 and gain 200 ATK. This allows me to summon Mechanical Sea Dragon - Plesion, which is normally Level 5!"

"After that, I'll activate Double Summon which will allow me to bring out Deep Sea Diva, and then finally with that monster's effect I get to bring out Atlantean Marksman!"

As she played her next two cards, first on the field appeared a mechanical plesiosaurus swimming within the virtual water (ATK 2300 > 2500), and then it was followed up by some sort of pink mermaid who apparently thought it could sing underwater (ATK 200 > 400). Finally, out came a humanoid soldier fish, not much to say there (ATK 1400 > 1600)


"Then I'm activating the effect of my Plesion, tributing Deep Sea Diva so I can destroy one of your set cards!" She continued, and then the singing mermaid was suddenly stalked upon by the robotic beast, before being cannoned at by it, and having it transform into a large pearl crash down into one of Lucille's sets, destroying it. Unfortunately, the pearl disappeared before she could grab it.

"Finally, I'll attack your Blue the Driver with Plesion, before issuing a direct attack with my Marksman if it succeeds!" She concluded for the moment, and her two monsters shot forward.

"Oh, and before I forget, my Atlantean Marksman special summons other Atlanteans whenever it successfully lands attacks...go figure."

After that, if Atlantean Marksman managed to successfully inflict damage, she would use its effect to special summon Atlantean Attack Squad from the deck, a card that gains an 800 ATK boost whenever there's another Fish, Serpent, or Aqua monster on the field (ATK 1400 > 2200 > 2400). And yes, that card would attack her directly as well.

"Well." Athena said as her mechanical sea serpent was countered as it was summoned. "In that case, I'll activate Double Summon, allowing me to summon Deep Sea Diva and use its efefct. This allows me to bring out a Level 3 or lower monster of my favorite type, and thus I'll start by bring out a second Deep Sea Diva copy in Defense, before using that one's effect to take out Mermaid Archer! And Mermaid Archer's effect allows me to equip a monster to it, allowing it to gain 800 ATK points...!"

Then, on the field appeared a secondary Deep Sea Diva defending itself, yes, a mermaid archer wielding a crossbow. As it appeared, it landed onto one of the Deep Sea Divas, the one in attack mode which proceeded to transform into a giant pearl. (ATK 1200 -> 1400 -> 2200)

"Now then, Mermaid Archer, destroy her Blue the Diver and show her how [i]real[/i] sea serpents fight!"

Then the mermaid archer fired a powerful blast at her opponent's Proto Chroma, potentially damaging her Life Points with 400 points of damage.

"Finally, I'll set a card and end my turn."

Nox glared at the Man that had dodged a kick from one of Jigoku's friends, Jigoku may have went back to the front of the crowd, but Nox and Himura decided to stay behind to watch the Man with his Shenanigans. Himura then walked up to the man and said to him with a bow [color=#daa520]"I'm sorry about Jigoku, I've heard everything you said before she went over there... Is 'Chocolate Rain' the Username of one of your friends or something? It sounds like a Girl's Username..." [/color]Nox just sighed and said to Himura [color=#4b0082]"It's either the Username of a Girl, or the Indian Name of a Gay Man" [/color]Nox Laughed at her own comment, but was later met with a punch in the face by a Blushing Himura, who then Retorted [color=#daa520]"Nox! All of Jigoku's friends watch that show, Do you think you're any better than her? because you're not!" [/color]And a Cat fight between Nox and Himura started, which was likely amusing for Mactastic until Jigoku started to Loom over Himura and Nox, within the eyesight of Mactastic...

Entertainment at last. For some reason man-girl's 0 potential cohorts had decided to stay around for some odd reason and engage Big Daddy in conversation. The pimp had already written them off as well simply for being affiliated 0. Interestingly enough the two were at blows before Mactacstic could even answer. Well while watching this was slightly amusing, girl on girl violence was such a waste. Its like using diamonds to smash other diamonds, no need for potential resources to ever damage each other and while he may find no value in them surely another pimp might. [color=#800080]Hmph[/color] he laughed at his internal thought of helping out other pimps. He split the girls up with his pimp cane and hand.

Himura and Nox did not even respond from being Slapped and Caned Respectively, The amount of pain that was dealt to them was negligible, but it was enough to get their attention. Himura responded [color=#daa520]"Well... That actually Makes sense, Can we pe-" [/color]then she was interrupted by the warning of "her parent" being here, Himura paled as she slowly turned to find Jigoku right next to her and Nox, They said "Oh Sh!t" In unison as Jigoku Started to Lecture after slapping both Nox and Himura hard [color=#008080][b]"You FOOLS!" [/b][/color]with rather big Emphasis on 'fools', The Lecture could be heard from within the entire crowd (and possibly Athena and the Drive Master and definitely Mactastic, who was at least 2 feet away) [color=#008080][b]"I can't leave you girls alone for 1 freaking second without you two somehow picking a freaking fight with each other! Now What the Hell do you have to say for yourselves!?" [/b][/color][color=#daa520]"Eep, Sorry Jigoku!" [/color][color=#4b0082]"I promise It won't happen again, Not sure about Himura though" [/color][color=#daa520]"Hey! You were at Fault too!" [/color]Nox and Himura started to argue again, Which was responded by Jigoku breaking them up, and furiously Punching Nox in the gut, Sending her down on her Knees, Kneeling in pain, This was arguably the worse pain that Nox ever felt in her life, and Himura Sympathetically felt that pain. Jigoku then said to Nox [color=#008080]"Nox, Don't you ever dare do that again... [b]Do you Understand me!?" [/b][/color]and after an "I Understand" in Unison, The Scuffle was over...

Cole was done with them, he had nothing more to say and left. Those two girls Nox and Himura were acting like spoiled children, though Cole did have to feel bad for the thrid girl Jigoku he believed oh well things happen. That pimp though, the foul waste of human space had gotten to him. He had even lauched a kick at the man's chest that had been childish it would not be happening again. Cole proceeded to push through the crowd to get a better look at the two combatants who where a magnificent duel the one woman had just summoned a level monster to the field and Cole waited to see if Lucille would counter.

At the back of the crows, Ashe was disapointed by the Drive Duel. Aside from the dramatic introduction, nothing about it seemed any different that a normal duel. [i]Maybe its something I should probably test myself, rather than watch. [/i]In fact the duel seemed to be the least of most peoples attention, many members of the crowd looking away from it at something happening the other side of the fountain. She didn't hugely care what is was, it was a nice distraction of attention. She pulled her deck out of one of the many pockets in her coat, letting one of her rare smiles. Her Guardians. Her protectors. Her... friends. More than a simple deck. [i]Yes... I need to experience this for myself.[/i]

"I activate Bottomless Trap Hole on the summon of your Sea Dragon!" A vortex opened up beneath Athena's monster, and sucked it in. Lucille waited after that, until the battle phase.

"Mermaid Archer, destroy her Blue the Diver and show her how real sea serpents fight!" Athena's monster fired her bow, destroying Blue the Diver. He reverted into a blue ball of ink, but didn't leave the field. Instead, it began to morph.

"You see, when you destroyed my Diver, since he's a Water monster, I get to Special Summon an even stronger monster! Appear, Trita Chroma - Aquamarine the Serpent!" A new green ball appeared next to the blue one, and began to fuse with it, until they became one blue-green ball. It then began to morph into a long undersea serpent.

"Now I take my turn. I draw! I summon Proto Chroma - Red the Assassin!" In a fashion similar to Blue, a red ball of ink appeared and morphed into a female warrior. "And I also activate a Spell Card from my hand, Artist's Summon - Green! When I use this card, I can add 1 WIND Chroma from my deck to my hand. But If I have a Proto Chroma monster, I can Special Summon it instead! With Red on my field, I can summon Trita Chroma - Chartreuse the Sniper in Defense mode!" A green and yellow ball of ink appeared, which fused and morphed into a robotic sniper. "I activate his effect to destroy the Deep Sea Diva that is equipped to your Archer!" Chartreuse took careful aim, and fired a quick, powerful shot into the pearl beneath the archer. It shattered instantly, and the sniper began to reload.

"Now for my Battle Phase! I attack your weakened Archer with my Aquamarine the Serpent!" The large beast rushed at the other monster and snapped her up in his jaws. Would this attack go through, then Athena would take a potential 1500 points of damage. "I'll set one more card and end my turn."

The attack successfully came through, and the Mermaid Archer was crushed within the Aquamarine's jaws (Athena LP: 2500). At least, that's what it had appeared like at first.

"Jeez..." Athena muttered, and looked down at the thing her flute had transformed into.

Hydras were sea serpents, so sea serpents should be hydras too, right? But still, as she watched her Mermaid Archer get crushed, she couldn't help but wonder 'what if she could grow a second head'. Immediately, her chest suddenly began to glow with intense light, and all of a sudden a bright light burst out from it. Then, a card flew out of her deck and placed itself onto the field, where Mermaid Archer seemed to regenerate from the blow...

"Wha- wha- wha...?" This was in fact, her drive. The Hydra Drive, allowing her to summon a second copy of a Sea Serpent from the deck whenever it's destroyed, a drive based upon the concept of a hydra's head growing back once being cut down. Of course, the normal concept was 'the heads would double', but hey, can't win them all. Athena also felt slightly more tired, as if her soul had been slightly drained.

"Well...I hope somebody will explain what just happened later." She commented. "In any case, my turn! Draw!" And smiled faintly as she looked at her cards. "Looks like I won't be able to bring out my trump in this duel... ohwell. I equip my other Deep Sea Diva to Deep Sea Mermaid, increasing her ATK again up to 2200, and summon Atlantean Dragon Riders!"

Then, on the field appeared a fish warrior riding a large armored seahorse, its armor made from gold and silver (ATK 1800 > 2000).

"Dragon Rider's effect allows me to attack directly with Sea Serpent monsters lower than Level 3, and due to A Legendary Ocean, both monsters fulfill these conditions. So then, I'll attack you directly with both monsters and end this duel!!!" She declared, thrusting her arm forward, before her two monsters whose combined ATK outmatched her opponent's Life Points launched forward.

"Hm. Well, I will set a second card and end my turn. Guess that chance was too good to be true, huh?"

Cole let in a sharp breath, [i]what in the hell was that her monster just regenerated out of nowhere, and now a direct attack what is going on here. So lets just get this straight so her monster just freakishly regerated where it stands and now because of her Dragon Riders she can attack directly as long as her monsters are level three or lower, and because of Legendary Ocean they are ,ok got that part down still what was with that monster it regernated, whatever Lucille better do something quick or she's gonna lose. [/i]Cole shot the woman a worried look, [i]come on darling [/i]Cole thought.

The first attack went through. "Agh! (3600>1400) Well, unfortunately, I can't let that second one pass. Come out, Ogre of the Scarlet Sorrow!" A blue ogre descended to the field. The Dragon Riders stopped, and were slowly pushed back to their original side of the field. "You see, if you declare a second direct attack in one turn, I can bring out my Ogre. His Attack power is now equal to the Attack of your Mermaid Archer, which is 2200. And not only that, if you foolishly choose to attack again, you can only attack him, which doesn't seem to be a good idea. So now I'll take my turn! Draw!" Lucille looked at the one card in her hand, which she hoped would help win her the duel, and a chance to play that flute.
"I activate from my hand, Neonize! By banishing a Chroma monster on my field, I can summon a much more powerful monster of the same Attribute! Go Chartreuse, transform!" The sniper changed back into a sickly green ball of ink, which began to brighten and saturate, until it was a bright, nearly blinding, neon green. And it wasn't ink anymore either; it was a ball of gas. The gas began to shape and mold itself into a type of serpent.

The beast took shape. It was constantly moving, and appeared to be made of some sort of liquid. "When Rush attacks, he bypasses your monsters and hits you directly! Now go! Neon Flash!" In one quick motion, the monster hurtled towards Athena, and plowed through her.

"Well, you got lucky once, but let's see if you can stop Aquamarine! Go! Destroy the Dragon Riders!" The serpent barreled towards the monsters, smashing them with his tail and destroying them. "Now I'll end my turn by using my facedown Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy the Legendary Ocean!" The card appeared, and winds suddenly whipped everywhere. The field spell shattered, and pieces of it rained down.
"And with that, I end my turn."

When the attack finished, it was noticed that Athena's Mermaid Archer was missing from the field. "Oh, and whenever Rush makes a successful direct attack, one of your monsters gets pushed back into your hand. Now Aquamarine, attack the Dragon Riders and end this!" The second serpent barreled towards the two riders, smashing them with his tail and destroying them.

Jigoku then giggled as she returned to watching the duel, just in time to look at a certain Fiasco, The Mermaid Archer was pulverized by a Serpent, but had mysteriously regenerated, It was until she realized what had happened, She saw that Athena was slightly tired from that, to which she giggled and said to herself [color=#008080]"My, My... Looks like Bass(Jigoku often calls him the Fish Bass, Not "Base") has done made a new way to duel, but why so showy? A Simple announcement would have done the trick... Oh yea, a New Duel Mechanic means New Rules... New Rules means a Demonstration!"[/color], Suddenly, She saw one of the Monsters transform into some kind of Serpent and start Charging at the other player, She watched the duel carefully, hoping that the Attack wasn't countered...

Big Daddy Mactastic was still looking for this girl with the chair when noticed the duel get more intense the girls who's card flew from the deck was seemingly surprised. He didn't really understand what was happening but it sure did look pretty. Then the other person addicted to the color wheel seemed to be playing all types of weird ink blot oddities. The only thing this did was make Big Daddy contemplate getting another suit.
