Asriel Dreemurr
The f*** do you expect? Clarice admitted to murdering vampires in a room full of vampires!
Love of Ghibli
The action of firing at Clarice is never the problem. Its just that firing at Sociopath, feminazi, who can move at least 10x the speed of those bullets, and spam blades like no other would require that said sociopath responds to said action and if she will kill innocent bystanders and turn them into pies what would you expect to happen to people who actually tried to do harm to her. My dilemma is my reply, clearly they could all logically be killed, but I don't think that was the goal here and I certainly just can't have my manic sociopath just get shot at and not retaliate. See the problem?
Asriel Dreemurr
And now we get to the heart of the matter where you shouldn't have a character than can move ten times the speed of a bullet in the first place. Granted it's not my RP so I can't pass judgement on it, I'm just wondering how that was ever allowed. You can literally kill every single character in the RP in an instant, and that is just...I think my own previous wording of this comment appropriately expresses my opinion on the matter. ListenToLife
Not every character. I'm pretty sure Feredir and Elnaer's magick could probably put up with it. The difference is, the dont, wont and cant spam said magick, as it takes energy. If you had some sort of limiting factor (and a damn good one) it would be better. Love of Ghibli
Then why didn't you just say you didn't like the lightning speed? Instead I'm now in this awkward situation where I have to figure out how not to undo your miniplot because that would be rude. Secondly even if I did nerf her speed she'd still be faster than bullets which would still put us in this random situation of NPC's vs. Sociopath PC where I have to question why you think they should. The heart of the matter to me is that Clarice as a character is getting some backlash/hate and it is manifesting in these trap-esk actions of the RP. Granted I don't really mind because not every person is going to like every character I make and I can understand that. It would just be nice if I didn't get "tested" like this. Third, I was going to wait to some PC battle to explain that the lightning speed is limited by the fact that she is a normal human. Normal (slightly higher because of sheer physicality) human stamina. She can't handle that speed for very long and even less in an actual heated battle. She only has two powers storage room closet dimension and speed. The only creative thing I've done with the former is empty it out on people, which is also something I can do to these NPC's killing all of them, once again trying not to undo someone's hard work. As for the matter of who she can and can't fight I know she can't beat Elnaer, I haven't been that much attention to elf the story so sure if he's that great then she can't beat him either. I envisioned her to be Adrian's opposite who had in the immediate second highest tier.
ListenToLife
Perhaps summon a barrier from this dimension thing? The elf isn't that strong physically. All it is is that he's magical (Until he gets his Bow) Which makes him pretty much only useful against Elnaer. And sure, Adrian vs Clarice would be cool. Love of Ghibli
I've thought about that, I'm currently on zero hours of sleep so simple solutions (and proofreading for that matter lol) escape me. All right I can make a decent post. My anger has subsided lol
Merci
You know, you guys should've probably waited for me first before beginning this detailed argument. Alright, so Clarice can move faster than a bullet. But in magic terms, that's pretty dangerous, and the average human can easily kill themselves by accidentally crashing into a single object or getting on fire due to friction. But really, I think this is why Clarice, a woman, had managed to get so physically strong, by enduring this high magic strain. She has the nickname 'Black Lightning', but she's a human. She's not the Flash. Every time she goes at high speeds, there's always the not-so-faraway danger that she can kill herself. Besides, as she herself had pointed out, John is more than capable of taking her out due to his fire powers. If she gets even close to him, he'd wrap himself in a flaming shield, which she can easily accidentally run into and burn herself to death. When you think about it, she's actually among the weaker characters in this roleplay. Iron Dragon can fly and shoot multiple breaths, fire, poison, etc... Feredir, WHEN EXHAUSTED, can rip out pretty much millions of pages from a library and use them all to temporarily delay Lord Elnaer himself, Lyon can freeze and shatter practically anything he sees judging by the way he disposed of the pies... Now, compare all that to a simple bruteforce character who goes at high speeds. She's kinda nothing, isn't she? However, she's like the most dangerous threat to mooks. Clarice is like an anti-mook. While our characters probably have the powerful ability to hold her off with their magic or tools, ordinary mooks are really vulnerable to her. Although if she crashes into one while at her high speeds...well, it'll be like hitting a brick wall. That's how the law of physics work, even if you blend it with magic. That's my conclusion, anyway. Any more questions?
Is there a chance I can still join this RP? Or perhaps a sequel? I found this about super late as you see... I love the RP already... And If there is a sequel or time for me to join can I reserve an Elf character?
You can still join the RP there's actually a lot of free space and room left, though if you plan on using an Elf for this RP, I'm afraid I can't let you do that since we already have one >< but as for the sequel, Legend Moon, I'll think about it. It probably won't be made before Christmas though, so there's still plenty of time to keep everything going. If you're a human, then you're currently within the capital city of vampires, Nuevida, having infiltrated it. Your current goal is to rendezvous at a warehouse which looks exactly like the one you had entered at the beginning of the infiltration. If you're a vampire, be whoever you want. Scientist, royal knght, sniper....but in any case, you're also within Nuevida.
Furthermore, how the hell is everyone reacting so calmly?
John was furious, he IS furious and would've attacked her himself had they not been in the presence of five hundred+ men...whom he apparently all commands. And has to calm down. ListenToLife
Well, when you put it like that.... Guess you sorted it out there. You're a good host. (You forgot to mention Lord Elnaer himself; destroying 5 floors without any sort of drawback, and jumping down 5 floors without any injury. I already talked to him, over pm, about perhaps, in the Sequel, being a half-elf child of Feredir - if the sequel will be set far enough along for us to have a fully grown elf. Asriel Dreemurr
Well when you put it that way I guess I can't rightly complain by any stretch of the imagination. Clarice's girls are f***ing dead though.

Reinforce
The whole freezing and shattering of the pies Lyon pulled off was more of an instinctive use of his powers when he's angry, rather than his normal controlled use of it and only really works on small objects like the pies. It's conceivable that he could use it to kill a human by freezing their neck and breaking it, but he has easier ways to kill people anyway. Besides, the way it works is by using the water in the air to freeze around them, thus as good as freezing the objects as well. When he object is cold enough, he just causes the ice around it to break, in turn also creating cracks in the object, shattering it.

But the thing is, that ability's pretty much enough to instantly take out Lord Elnaer in his normal form before he can go energy-crazy, and pretty much anyone else. Very few people, such as John's fireshrouding to evaporate the water in the air, are able to counter such a deathlike technique. Whether he's angry or not, the thing is he still possesses the ability not that I'm protesting~ in fact, it's a technique suitable for the Vampire Lord candidate. Asriel Dreemurr
My request to Adrian when he fights Clarice. Make the b**** suffer. Seriously, my hatred of this character cannot be expressed in words.
Love of Ghibli
Let me see, kill him, turn him into a pie, force feed him to the soldiers. Repeat steps 1 - 3 with the soldiers and their families. Hey kid want some haggis lol
Merci
Ketodama, there's one things you should probably know about Beginning's characters... They never suffer. Seriously. be it Brighton or Clarissa's brother (whatever his name had been) or Dorian, they never suffer. In Dorian's case, even when Tron (my character, btw) shoved it in his face that he would die, he just continued on laughing about it all confident. When dozens of females all expressed their sheer hatred at the case of Clarissa's brother, he didn't care at all. And when multiple people each tried to deride and discourage Brighton, he just kept on being bright. I haven't really noticed it up until now, but there's something about Beginning's roleplaying style that stands out from all the others, and it's this. No matter what you throw at his characters, even if you tear off their limbs, inflict them with the most painful of poisons, and force them to slowly watch the darkest of demons while being chained within a sea of lava unable to die, they'd just act normally as always and walk out of it without anything more than simple musing. Not that it's a negative thing. I find it funny~ Although I admit, tons of people have expressed true hatred to his characters in pretty much all RPs I've seen them in, so Ketodama, you aren't the first xD....That's my analysis anyway. Reinforce
That's true, beginning's characters just seem to accumulate hatred regardless of the situation. Even that pimp he had recently just continued laughing when nearly all the characters in the story were attacking him.
ListenToLife
You seem to have a talent for getting on people's nerves beginning; at least IC. XD They're actually great characters. I guess everyone's got a certain style or two it seems. .
Asriel Dreemurr
So basically all beginning ever plays are sociopaths? Also I'm tempted to do something...clearly I'll need your okay to go through with it Beginning. Anyways I'm off to make my post. By the way, does anyone else remember how disorganized the original incarnation of this RP was? Good god as long ago as that was I can still remember it being pretty well out of control with nobody really being in the same place.
Kōsuke Ueki
Tell me about it. I'd say this RP is better without my characters being in it. At least for now. I'll be sure to join Legend Moon when it's up. But for now, I'll just play this out like it's Tekken (Sort of). John will be Kazuya (Regarding Tekken 1), and my character in Legend Moon will be like Jin (Regarding Tekken 3 and onward). How interesting does that sound? P.S. If you haven't guessed, I'm going to transfer my reservation for the sequel.
Merci
Yeah, Legend Blood had been disorganized, and its sequel and prequel even more so. I hadn't wondered for a single second how exactly the antagonist would be defeated, which is actually something extremely essential in an RP. If you haven't planned out how the villain would be defeated, then the RP has already become a failure. I had been wondering about that, C4. Glad to know you're still here. Legend Moon won't be up until this RP is over though~ which probably wouldn't be until Christmas. In any case, I have complete confidence that this RP is going to be the first in millenniums to culminate into an actual ending. Hope you guys are all gonna stick with it to the end.
