If You Were a Mod, What Section Would You Want To Watch Over?

I would probably want to run Creative Writing. Despite it being dead, it's still what I consider my home on the site, and I would love to help improve it.

I warn you, I would not take this position lightly. I wouldn't enforce Advanced Rules or anything like that, but things like Fake Types, Rude Feedback, and Board Spamming would be a thing of the past! You'd never suffer from eye-burning graphics or lack of readable effects (because of no spoiler tags) again.

I'd love to run RC, since it's basically where I reside here on YCM. And like Zelfore, I'd also enforce some rules to RC. Nothing too crazy like the Advanced Clause, just a simple handy-dandy rule set that stops newbs from making cards that can scar the eyes.

Hioco only shows up once every 6 months, Shad has moved away from graphic design it seems, and Yin has not been active as of late.
Thus leaving graphic design with not a single active moderator.

No idea now, but before I petitioned to get Multimedia created I would've loved to moderate General. It was going to happen at one point too I think, but I was far too full of myself at the time for it to happen.

Reckon now there's not much need for individual section moderators except in the more active sections (CC, role-playing, Clubs).

New graphic design mod being promoted soon enough!

All jokes aside, that problem really needs to be addressed. Also I've been speaking with her on msn, and not to speak for her, but she's taking a break from ycm is what I was told. I don't blame her, however we've now got not a single active mod, it was bad enough when Hioco and Shad left Yin the entire graphic design section to moderate alone, but now we've literally got no one.

[/quote]But you would also take the position responsively and once Yin comes back, it would leave 2 mods instead of one. It would fix this and the earlier issue all together.

tbh, if Yin said she needed/wanted help then it would've been easy to get another mod for Graphics (since most sections have went to a 2 mod system anyway). Not sure if you talk to her regularly but it could be something you discuss with her. *shrug*

Basically this. Even prior to Yin's absence we had a problem with activity, a new mod would resolve both issues.

The problem with that is Yin doesn't need another mod to police the section, she just needs someone to promote activity. That and I would not trust a mod who knows nothing of the section and it's members, they would never post and moderate inadequately because of it. The only mod I would trust with that role is you, however it's clear you are busy enough as is. Also we've discussed this topic many times, she relatively agrees with what has been said but I'd rather let her speak for herself.

I have the most posts in General, but I would probably prefer to moderate Video Games or Music. Although then again, Music is inactive as dirt and Opal has that place covered pretty well.
