Magician's Advent...! (Full Set) (20/30+)

Recommended Posts

To celebrate the return of the site, I shall do my whole archtype review. Or at least I will try. I doubt I'll be any good at it.

So, the theme: The idea of banishing spell cards as a cost is quiet a good idea, and hasn't been done much before, meaning you've got a Uniqueish feel.

The first majot problem I see is although the Archetype does support its grimores... Spellbooks exist. and are arguably better for the role, given the Alma spellbook for extra recylcing, and the searching potential. Now, thats never something you would be able to rectify in my view, but what can you do? It happens.

Everything works well together, if a little to well at time, but I think i adressed that with my indiviual comments. however... I think at times it lacks an aim. With a lot of decks, indivudual moves elad to an overall aim, and yours is bit spread out. You have the Synchro, the Xyz, the other main cards, and the boss... but, I think there isn't enough focus on moving towards them. But, again my opinion and not to sure on hwo to fix that.

My two cents. For what maybe one of the last times on this thread. Do enjoy. And if you need any comments on other stuff, just ask.

An aim? Well, the aim depends on the build you're using. My own personal recommended build, Ristoria Beatdown involves summoning level 7's as quickly as possible to then Xyz Summon Marluxia and using ATK increasing cards to quickly clean the field and Special Summon Ristoria from the deck to swing for game. But yeah, as a whole, this deck isn't supposed to be a complete archetype of it's own, mostly because it's not even complete for now. I like to think of it as a deck that can be used to support other existing decks or be a good Field-Control/Swarm deck.

BOO.

I only just noticed you put some stuff up, so back to my normal duty of keeping you from going crazy:

Marluvia: remove special summon from the deck, and its great. As it stands, its to easy to build a quick swarm, when the intention is probably to act as a recovery form Inzectors and the like?

Sartoria: i think the owrding needs to change, becuase i think as it stands it can't be used unless both players have a target, like shallow grave. Put MAY. in there anf I think its fine.

Reverse Spell: its fine, its basically a Diamond dude esch effect without the body. So i think tis fine.

I won't fix Marluvia since I think it helps you recover after a field nuke or something like Inzek-fu*cking-tors. If it only SS from the hand, I think it's too situational and may not help pull out from the pinch.

As for Sartoria, I'll fix it as soon as my internet stops being as slow as sloth taking sh*t.

Also, glad to see that my Reverse Spell isn't broken in your view.
