  1. 1. Does maturity comoe with age?

    • Maturity comes with age after 18.
    • Maturity can come whenever needed.
    • Um....does it really even matter? ( which in my repsonse, would be, yes, yes it does matter)

Maturity Comes When you are ready to accept responsibility for your actions.

Even if its ane Eye for an Eye Steal 1000 sheep Get Your hands chopped off.

An eye for an eye makes the world go blind.

I steal, and I get away with it. I take, nothing happens to me, thats the way it works. Things only happen to you if you think they will, and I know this all too well.

My hands will never be removed from my body. (ok, if I get gangrene thats an exception, but you know what I mean)

yea i know many 18 year olds that are not mature at all. Maturity is something that comes with the choices you make. I believe your parents determine when you become mature. If they treat you like an adult you will become mature quickly. If they treat you like a little child i.e. giving you everything you want then you will mature very slowly

wow this got a lot of hits fast, lol um

but with you my friend i would have to disagree with you

you see

there are alot of kids and i mean a lot of kids whos parents treat like dirt, like nothing

and they end becoming some of the most mature people i have seen anywhere

one of them being a good friend of my and a former member of this forum cyberdude.

I also agree with what you said. Cause the parents dont help the children the children learn to look after themselves thus they become mature quickly.

Maturity does come with age. Maturity isn't only being serious when it's a serious situation, etc.

After a specific age, from 19 to 25, the human mind does grow up and he knows what's the right thing to do, but not always. He becomes a better planner and he makes less mistakes than the younger age.

Also, most of the younger age (immature people) have different thoughts and behavior towards anything sexual. Only %1.5 of the younger age today is well sexually-educated (which they should be in teen age, since no teen today doesn't know what sex is and what the parts are fully are), 65% are teens (and some kids) who go to porn sites and misunderstand the right thing, and the rest are the kids who their parents restrict from knowing anything who are having good parenting.

Please do not say "I'm mature" before knowing what it means. Maturity is surely a thing reached by age, but not a very specific one. Some people might stay immature for whole life, as they're mostly from the 65% percentage I've talked about above. A very good example is nightlife party men, prostitutes, etc.

Many people mistake age for superiority. With experience comes the diminishing of potential, and of the perception of life for what it is. Physical maturity obviously comes at a certain age. Mental maturity is completely unrelated to sex in any way, shape, or form. It is really knowing the difference between right and wrong, and having your own set of beliefs set out for yourself to follow. Maturity comes with the ability to think for yourself and not have to have others make choices for you and take responsibility for your actions.

Now, there is another facet: porn. It's evil and immature, and the wrong thing from every perspective. Porn and mental maturity cannot exist simultaneoulsy, since it is using the experiences of others to please yourself: you aren't taking responsibility for your own actions, and those actions aren't actually yours. Now, physical maturity, on the other hand...

I have to disagree, Yddisac. Many people mistake what sex is and what all sexual stuff mean. When they achieve the level of knowing what it really means, which is age 18/19, they'll be more mature than an underage partier who has sex and hurts himself. So, my speech about sexuality and how it deals with mental maturity isn't wrong. Hence why they name some stuff "Mature Content". Whoever says "I'm 12 and mature", if he truly means it, then he applies that he knows what sex purely is, he's got physical maturity and also the mental maturity to act serious when it's serious, etc.

That's sexual maturity, which is an entirely different topic. Despite what nature intended, sentient life is about more than sex. Physical, mental, spiritual, and sexual maturity are all unrelated: physical maturity comes after puberty, mental maturity is being able to live life self-sufficiently and make good decisions, spiritual maturity is being able to tell the difference between good and evil, and sexual maturity is being able to responsibly have sex.

I personally believe I am mentally and spiritually mature. I am far from sexually mature, being physically immature, as the two can and must coexist if sexual maturity is to exist at all. The different types of maturity can make the topic of maturity deceptively complex.

i agree with what your saying but think of it this way, some kids and people grow up in different situations, some situations require a different level of thinking, which forces the kids, or the person to mature in their own right, and a different pace, or set age then other kids and or people, do you see where im coming from?

Ok' date=' I am 15. I am sorta mature. I can be mature about things, and I can be un-mature about other things. Its all you, it has nothing to do about age. There are plenty of 17-20 + year olds that are so not mature.
