Anomu terricruz, a pure-blooded spirit of the spirit city of Saradom, looked out into the Dark Lake, the sunshine reflecting off the tender waves of black and violet. He had nothing on his mind but how he longed to take a dive into the water. But his wife, Ino forbid him from doing so, taking a dive into Artarius the Dark Lake was considered disrespectful in the eyes of the High Lords of the homeland of the Shakari. But Anomu was not a Shakari, Artarius is not his birth-place. He is born a Spirit, but he is an outcast spirit due to his diformity, the diformity in which his eyes, were not of the Spirit Culture. One being pure white, the other being absololute black.

-"Honey, what are you doing out here." His wife, Ino-Koa, called to him as she stepped outside.

-"It's just a very nice spot to relax. And watch those children play by the lake. It's quite enjoyable." Anomu said, with humor in his tone. He turned and faced his wife, smiling.

-"It is a beautiful site indeed." She agreed, she embraced him and buried her head in his arms. "Why don't you come inside, where it's nice and cool, it's too hot out here."

-"Alright. I'm hungry anyway, though it is a nice day. It is too hot to be out here for too long." And they both went inside.

"Agh!" Cyrus yelled in the darkness as something struck him from behind. He was on his usual dimension duties, jumping through dimensions with his trusty partner Graav, a Grym Demon similar to the infamous Grim Reaper, protecting dimensions in need of help. He was in the Pitch Dimension, a dimension of darkness. Light did not exist there.

"You still alive boss?" Graav said in the darkness in a deep, harsh voice.

"Yea. I can't see in the darkness!" Cyrus yelled. He frantically groped the walls of the castle he was protecting. He and Graav were called to eliminate an intruder from another dimension.

"Use your demon powers," Graav said as he merged with the darkness.

"Where are you?"

"In front of you." Cyrus reached out his hand and felt the sharp blade of Graav's scythe.

"Okay...I'll try," Cyrus said. He closed his eyes and focused his mind. Demon...demon...demon... he thought to himself. Suddenly, Cyrus felt an intense heat grow inside of him. He began to shift and change in the darkness. He grew immense horns and a long tail. His five fingers became three sharp claws. He grew a long, prehensile tongue that could taste the air. Then, all became clear as his eyes changed too. The reptilian eyes of Cyrus' Lower Demon Form allowed him to see in darkness just as clear as daylight.

"There he is!" Graav yelled. He began to float speedily towards the intruder, a flying insect.

"An Insectoid!" Cyrus said in his lower demon voice. He disappeared and reappeared in front of the insectoid.

"Wh-what are you doing here?!?" the insectoid said in a high-pitched squeak.

"The question is what are you doing here. But that doesn't matter because you are going back where you belong," Cyrus said. He grasped the insectoid with his two hands. He rolled out his long tongue and shot it forward, creating a small rip in dimensions. Using his long tail, he opened this rip even more, just large enough to fit the insectoid. He thrust the insectoid back and closed the rip.

"Good job, boss," Graav said. He appeared from the darkness in front of Cyrus who was changing back to his human form.

"Yea. We should go now," Cyrus said. He reached forward and opened his palm with a quick flick of his wrist, creating a hole into the human dimension. Graav floated throgh first, then Cyrus following him, closing the rip behind him. The two reappeared in Cyrus' bedroom in the human world.

"I will retire. See you later, boss," Graav said as he disappated into the darkness.

"Yea...see ya," Cyrus said as he laid down on his bed and drifted off to sleep.

Guest Supreme Gamesmaster

"So, it didn't work?" the flying squid said in its grating voice.

"No, sir," the insectoid replied as it got yanked out of the modified dimensional tunnel. "I got shoved away as soon as they came in, sir."

"These demons seem to be stronger than we've anticipated if they can alter the dimensional currents," Lord Dread growled. "Employ as many scouts as possible to keep track of any and all demons you think could pose a threat to us. Understood?"

"Understood, General," the insectoid agreed before picking a whistle up off the ground and blowing it. Several floating eyes appeared from nowhere.

"Incorporealis benevolens," the insectoid commanded, "The Supreme General has ordered you to keep track of the powerful demons of the world. Employ as many scouts as necessary, and inform the Supreme General directly if anything interesting pops up. Understood?" The eyes bobbed in affirmation.

"Was that good enough, general?" the insectoid asked anxiously as the Incorporealis benevolens floated off.

"Perfectly satisfactory," Lord Dread agreed. "Dismissed."

"Aye, sir," the insectoid agreed before scurrying away, frightened.

OoC: DPL, where are you? I can't do anything in Dragonfronts until you post.

"Hey boss! I got a hit on the next interdimensional attack," Graav said from the shadows.

"Where the hell are you?" Cyrus asked, frantically looking around. He got up from his bed and walked over to a wall. He felt around on the wall, but couldn't feel the cloth hood of Graav.

"Above your head," Graav chuckled. Cyrus looked up quickly and noticed Graav sitting down on the ceiling. Graav appeared to dissolve with the ceiling and reappeared in fron tof Cyrus.

"Don't ever do that again!" Cyrus exclaimed, gasping for air because Graav has startled him.

"Sorry boss. We should head out now. There's an attack down in the City Square," Graav explained. He floated over to a window and and the sunlight reflected off of Graav's scythe. Graav lept out of the open window and fell towards the ground. Before he reached it, Graav opened his cloak and rose up into the sky as if he were flying.

"Very funny. Let's just get going," Cyrus said. He opened bright white wings that were concealed beneath his skin. The wings ripped through his shirt. Cyrus was enraged at this. "This was a brand new shirt!" He ripped it off and flew out the window, towards City Square with Graav.

Graav and Cyrus arrived at City Square, only to see the citizens of the city fleeing for their lives. Cyrus looked where they were running from, only to see a large dimensional rip, larger than any Cyrus had ever seen, in the sky.

"What in the world is that?" Graav exclaimed in his raspy voice. He floated towards the rip and peered into it. Soon, Graav was thrust back and thrown into a building by some invisible force.

"Graav!" Cyrus exclaimed. He flew towards his falled comrade and helped him up.

"I'm okay. A few broken bones, but I'm okay!" Graav chuckled. He floated back into the air and flew quickly back towards the rip. A large mass of glowing figures appeared to be floating out of the rip. "Aww great! I know what there are!"

"What are they?" Cyrus asked as he prepared for battle.

"Incorporealis benevolens. They are servants of Insectoids. They may also be manipulated by demons with more power than them. But in order to override the power the first demon had, you have to have more power than him. Since we don't know who controls them, we can't manipulate them," Graav explained. The glowing mass soon disappeared into the sky. "Where did they go?"

"I'm not sure, but we should head back and prepare for their return," Cyrus said. He flew back towards his home with Graav right behind.

"We need to do much more than prepare. Incorporealis benevolens are power scouts. They are surveying the area for large power sources. They are preparing for an invasion," Graav said to himself as he flew.

As Anomu walked down the streets if Artarius with Ino, Anomu's arm around her, he began to think of his family in Saradom, and if he would ever see it again. He and Ino had already planned a trip back to the Twilight Shrine, where they first met. But for Anomu to return to Saradom was like going to hell. He couldn't go back, not after what he had done now, and especially not with his deformity.

-"Oh, I absolutely love this one." Ino exclamated as she peered at a pot being sold in one of the shops. "We must get it, Hubby."

-"Alright, but you're the only one with any currency, remember. The High Lords won't let me have any work." Anomu said in responce to Ino's glee.

-"Oh, don't you worry, we can sort this out. We just need to get your citizen documents so you officially belong here. With that, I'm sure you'll be aloud a job." She said after she paid for and stashed the pot into her bag, which protected it from any harm at all.

When they got home, and after Ino had set the new pot down somewhere to make it look nice. Anomu went outside to look at the Dark Lake again, soon joined by his wife. They both walked to the shore, where Anomu entertained her by conjuring up sound waves from his palms and making them visible and physical and danced them around on the ground. She watched happily as the sound waves split into two parts and began to do the waltz, while Anomu conjured some sound waves that made musical tone to go with the dancing.
