I've been gone for awhile simply because I ran out of card ideas almost a year ago and my creativity has been dry ever since. Well, until now. Meet the Bloodoath monsters! A series of cards whose strategy is to inflict self-damage in order to gain benefits from it. If people like this, I may make more. What do you all think? Bloodoath Shaman Type: Spellcaster Attribute: DARK Level: 3 ATK: 1000 DEF: 500 Effect: If you control a face-up "Bloodoath" monster other than "Bloodoath Shaman": You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn, if you take damage from a card effect: You can target 1 monster your oppponent controls; it loses 700 ATK. You can only control 1 "Bloodoath Shaman". Bloodoath Tribesman Type: Warrior Attribute: DARK Level: 4 ATK: 1900 DEF: 800 Effect: When this card destroys a monster by battle: Gain 500 life points. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Take 1000 damage. Bloodoath Homunculus Type: Fiend Attribute: DARK Level: 4 ATK: 1000 DEF: 0 Effect: Each time you take damage from a card effect: Place 1 Bloodoath Counter on this card. This card gains 500 ATK for each Bloodoath Counter on it. During the End Phase: Remove all Bloodoath Counters from this card. This cards controller does not take damage from battles involving this card. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Gain 1000 life points. Bloodoath Golem Type: Rock Attribute: DARK Level: 6 ATK: 2200 DEF: 1500 Effect: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by tributing 1 "Bloodoath" monster you control. When this card destroys a monster by battle: You can target and destroy 1 Set Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls and take 800 damage. Bloodoath Idol Type: Spellcaster/Xyz Attribute: DARK Rank: 4 ATK: 2000 DEF: 1000 Effect: 2 level 4 "Bloodoath" monsters While this card has Xyz Materials: Each time you take damage from a card effect; Inflict 500 damage to your opponent and gain 500 life points. During each of your End Phases: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card. Bloodoath Medicine Continuous Spell Card Effect: Once per turn: When you take damage from a card effect; Draw 1 card. You can only control 1 "Bloodoath Medicine." Bloodoath Mirrorveil Quick Play Spell Effect: During this turn, all face-up "Bloodoath" monsters you control are unaffected by the effects of your opponents Spell and Trap Cards. During the End Phase of this turn: Take 300 damage for each "Bloodoath" monster that was on the field this turn. Bloodoath Peacetime Spell Card Effect: Add 1 "Bloodoath" monster from your Deck to your hand. Negate the effects of all "Bloodoath" monsters this turn. You can only activate 1 "Bloodoath Peacetime" per turn. Bloodoath Sanctuary Trap Card Effect: Gain 400 life points for each "Bloodoath" monster sent to the Graveyard this turn. Link to comment
Ambrogirmint705 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Share Posted August 3, 2012 Cool cards, a great play on Life Points manipulation. The increase and decrease of Life Points is rather quite balance, could be deadly if used against duelist who uses Burn Deck..as this set relies on effect damage to trigger the effect.
