Nathanael D. Striker
Just another 1v1 from me. Task is to make a written card that counters today's Graveyard-centric meta. First to 3 wins a rep. First to PM me their written card will be my opponent. SHOW TIME!
The Forgotten Deceiver ***** DARK Fiend/Effect 2000/1500 When you draw this card: Banish it. As long as this card is banished: Your opponent cannot activate and resolve effects from the Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard: Add it to your hand. If you control a "The Forgotten" monster: You can Normal Summon this card without a Tribute.

Sepherene, Dwelling Queen of Despair Level 8 DARK Spellcaster/Effect ATK 2800 DEF 1400 Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. When your opponent banishes a monster(s) from his/her Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). This card cannot declare a direct attack. When an effect activates in the Graveyard, you can decrease this card's ATK by 700: Negate its activation and destroy it. When this card is destroyed by battle, you can banish 2 monsters from either player's Graveyards: Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. newhat
Deceiver's presence in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG would require both players to check all opposing draws to make sure they're not him. It also forms an Infinite Loop with Brionac. You've referenced an archetype of which I only know 1 card, and a bad one at that. Sepherene misses the timing on almost everything. It's extremely hard to get out without meeting its conditions. The End of Anubis would generally work better. Sepherene wins by merit of having an interesting self-revival condition.

~ P O L A R I S ~
A is missing ATK and DEF. I'll take a wild thrust in the darkness and guess that that's your opponent's?

.Rai
The Forgotten Deceiver: Right. The rulings on this will completely ruin YGO for the fact that its existence means that, by ruling, you'd be able to check your opponent's draw for the presence of this card. What. Also, "The Forgotten"? The only legal target would be that card, and Souls of the Forgotten. Yay for obscure bad things. Outside of that, it's just an slightly better Soul Drain and abusable discard fodder for mill decks. Also, it's pretty weird-ass design to create a hard counter that banishes itself, which is pretty much the equivalent of putitng a permanent effect on the game. Macro, D. Fissure and the like were fine, design-wise, because they could be played around, they were pretty fragile and were more of a soft counter. Sepherene, Dwelling Queen of Despair: It's basically unplayable. You will never, ever get this out. It misses timing with pretty much everything. You can't get it out from BLS, Chaos Sorcerer, Mezuki, DAD, neither Chaos Dragon, nor any other useful cards. In the amazing case you do get it out, it's actually quite the little package of a card. I don't have much against the instant revival, if only because it's only ever going to act as a strange little pacifier on the field, yet nothing else. Despite the fact it's unplayable, Sepherene is quite elegantly designed so vote goes to B.

Love of Ghibli
I will try to add something that hasn't been said so far. Deceiver: Why does it have that part about it being normal summoned? you'll never want this thing on the field you just want it in your hand to do its effect. Serephene: I'm not as harsh to think that faulty wording completely overrides this things intent. My problem is that even if it does what it was supposed to it would still die by Chaos Sorcerer and BLS which somethings you truly want to stop. In other words following intent of the cards I give it to Serephene, I mean summoning it may be annoying but there is nothing keeping me from Magical Dimensioning it and its a Trade-in target. Nathanael D. Striker
Beginning, read Deceiver again. I think you read it wrong.
