So I was thinking of a role play that's kinda a mix between Mirai Nikki, No Game No Life, and Wipe Out mixed together. Nothing to incredibly serious, and mostly focused on comedy, but there could definitely be a few serious plot points thrown in if people want.

Plot: Eternity. It is an ever so long time. An ever so boring time. This is the life of an immortal. The life of a God. So the Deus rulers of the Astral Plane have called 20 random humans from across the multi-verse to entertain them. These humans will participate in a series of games, in a round robin tournament with the winner granted divine power and immortality by the Deus to do with as they please. You are one of the humans dragged into the Deus' odd game, at the mercy of these Gods who knows what horrible fate awaits you (hopefully it will pretty painful and funny, cause the whole divine community will be watching).

I've never made this before so I don't know how you could remember it XD

Raine made a similar RP though I think, so maybe that's what your thinking of?

Well, with ЯotEI more of a vegetable than Terry Schaivo, I'm gonna move on, but where?
http://strawpoll.me/2445844
A bit of an explanation.
1. Return of the Society of Light will be a GX sequel RP. Like ЯotEI, it will feature a more limited pool of usable cards, but you are more than welcome to alter existing Synchro and Xyz bosses of archetypes into Fusions, Rituals, or Effect Monsters.
2. The Digimon RP will be a Tamers sequel RP. It will take place in Chicago, and have some ideas taken from WATCH_DOGS.
3. And GCRP: The War of Four (title pending) is my Grand Crossover Roleplay after Broke N.'s and Phantom Roxas' GCRPs.

Hello, Hi and several other greetings.

I've been toying around with the idea of a Hunger Games-like Yugioh-RP for a while now and I would like to ask you what you think of my concept so far:
Basically, it's the same as in the books. 24 (maybe more) people get thrown into a arena, either voluntary or forced, where they stay until one lone victor remeans. Unlike the books, this is not done with weapons and combat, but dueling instead. From here on, I prepared four different variants of the Games:

Variant A: Each contestant gets distributed a !random! one of the 28 existing Structure Decks (counting both OCG and TCG, but the ones that were released in both, with different names and slightly different Decklists, only once). Of course, some of them are inferor to some others, but that's the game.

During the bloodbath at the Cornucopia, additionally to backpacks, food and survival gadgets, additional cards can be found. They range from stapels (Dark Hole, the Forbidden Spells, etc.), over Deck-specific stapels (Reinforcement of the Army, Limiter Removal, etc.) down to complete garbage (Driving Snow, Dash Warrior, etc.). It can/could/may will also include customs. All this, however, follows the same rules as every cornucopia item: The nearer at the cornucopia, the better.

Each time an opponent is defeated, the winner of that duel can take as many cards their opponent owned as they wish, to enhance their own Deck. Those can include cards from their Deck, but also unused cards they aquired throughout the game, if they still own them, as they can be easily thrown away or burnt if they are not needed.

Duels are each played with 4000 starting Life Points and are restored if a Duel ended.

Variant B: Each contestant enters with their personal Deck, which can consist of existing cards as well as balanced customs.

Each constestant starts with 4000 Life Points. Those are NOT restored after a duel, however, by defeating an opponent, they will gain all Life Points that player had when the duel started.

During the bloodbath at the Cornucopia, instead of cards in Variant A, cards that immediately increase Life Points can be found, similar to the Duel Coaster in Zexal. Again, the nearer at the cornucopia, the higher the Life Point increase.

Variant C: A combination of both of the above Variants. All Contestants get random Decks, like Variant A, but Life Points are handled just like Variant B. The Cornucopia bloodbath will have both usable cards and Life Point-increasers. My favorite, because most challenging, Variant.

Variant D: Each contestant enters with their personal Deck AND Life Points are restored at the End of each Duel. Only Survival Gadgets and Food are found at the cornucopia. Most boring Variant.

To the Dueling in general: Regardless the Variant, all players can flee during a Duel, if they are not bound by something, however, their opponent can also give chase and as long as the duel is able to continue, it continues as normal. If someone successfully fled, the Duel is treated as a draw.

The cornucopia bloodbath: It's basically a giant Battle Royal. Players can attack other players on sight, except if they leave the area around the cornucopia. Imagine it to be like the Duel Coaster without a Coaster. Also, during this stage, in Variant A and C, defeated Decks are free to grap for anyone. Life Points (Variant B and C) are given to the player that dealt the final blow, no matter how the rest of the Duel was running. The same does also apply to all Tag-Duels/Battle Royals during the actual game.
So... What do you think? Would you take part? Most importantly, which Variant would you like?

Also, it is only a basic concept so far. (Almost) everything can still be changed. Also, if someone wants to co-host this with me, I would not complain (too much :P )

So who would be interested in a casual slice of life RP? I've got a few settings for one, choose your favorite(s) below. It would be most appreciated if you ordered them in preference. The intention is for a light-hearted and casual RP. If you're interested in a RP of this type, but the following concepts don't necessarily appeal to you speak up and I'll see what I can do to suit your tastes.

School of the End Days
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Agm-_culDz8
Based on the anime and light novel series Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita or, by its English name, Humanity Has Declined, though many details are non-canonical because I haven't actually read the light novels and I don't quite remember all the details from the anime (or they don't explain them). At any rate, this RP takes place at the last known school in the world. Humanity has declined after a massive nuclear war which only ended because of the outbreak of a deadly pandemic and numerous natural disasters during a period that was called the Three Decades of Despair (whether it actually lasted 3 decades is uncertain). After that, what remained of humanity still held, but continued to regress over the years due to declining birth rates. Now, the remnants of humanity have moved out of their ruined cities, due to insufficient manpower to keep city functions going, and now live in small villages and settlements, living out the peaceful End Days of Humanity. The Earth is instead dominated by the New Humans, dubbed "Fairies", cute, ten-inch tall elves with technology so advanced it defies all logic and reason, and minds so alien that most people give up trying to understand. That's not important. What is important is that you are at the last established school of humanity, a boarding school where children are sent to learn skills such as arithmetic, language arts, and other skills that are falling out of relevance with civilization's decline. This RP deals with your daily lives in this carefree world. I'm a fan of this idea, the setting is quite novel, and there is plenty of opportunity with whimsical adventures involving the Fairies.

Aria the Roleplay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwmRWhmJknc

Based on Aria the Animation and its sequels, this RP takes place in the early 24th century, in the beautiful tourist city of Neo-Venezia, on the planet Aqua, which was formerly called Mars until a 150 year terraforming project that brought up Mars's underground water reserves to the surface, covering 90% of the planet in oceans. Neo-Venezia is a recreation of Man Home (Earth)'s Venice which sunk underwater due to global warming. The city carries on many of the Venice's traditions, and although there has been much technological development, only bits of it has really reached Aqua, and citizens enjoy a peaceful, simplistic lifestyle reminiscent of how people lived earlier on in mankind's history. The beautiful city is perhaps the most popular tourist destination in the world, and one of the most coveted jobs on the planet is that of a Prima Undine, a highly trained female gondolier and tour guide. You are an apprentice Undine at Aria Company, one of the three most prestigious water-guide companies despite being comparatively very, very small, and you live a utopian life of hard work and happiness as you strive to attain the position of a Prima Undine with your fellow apprentices. At the same time, mysterious forces, benign or otherwise, stir within the beautiful city and those who understand the essence of a happy life will be able to encounter the surreal and supernatural. Aria the Animation is a very relaxing, beautiful, heartwarming show and I'd like to replicate that feeling here.

Tokyo Legends

An original RP set in 2040 Tokyo. A typical highschool RP following the adventures, or misadventures, of the Tokyo Investigation Club at Densetsu High School, where extracurricular activities are mandatory. We will be able to explore various hypothetical new technologies that were developed between now and then, and try to envision what life will be like in 26 years. At the same time, the Tokyo Investigation Club is a lax club for the investigation of urban legends and various supernatural elements may come into play. There'll also be opportunity for comedic pop culture references. A pretty fun RP overall chock-full of various opportunities.

Shangri-La

You are an inhabitant of the mythical Shangri-La, a magical valley separated from the rest of the world by space and time. Those who are Lost will find themselves here until they Find themselves, again. This RP will feature a rustic life amidst various daily supernatural occurrences. You and your friends have decided to take it upon yourselves to return those who have wandered into Shangri-La back to their time. This RP will require some hefty planning, but has opportunity for the strange and wonderful as well as psychological details in addition to the standard fantasy slice-of-life.

Not sure if I could take on the load of joining this, but I think variant B is the best.

I know this might end up being a bit of a dueling project with Synchro Frame, but who wants an Evangelion RP with some Pacific Rim and Gurren Lagann tones to it?
Either that, or maybe a Mass Effect RP set during between the events of ME2 and ME3 between a group of Spectres and their support groups, a heavily-equipped Cerberus cell, and an N7 strike team as they duke it out across the galaxy.

So, about a month ago, I watched Danganronpa, and I watched Akuma no Riddle the day before yesterday.

These two anime led me to an idea.
8 teenagers are kidnapped from their normal lives, and each wake up in their own independent rooms in a large manor, situated on an enclosed compound. There is no cell range, but each of them has a text message, stating exactly two things: the name of one of the other teenagers, and that if they are to kill the person by that name, they will be allowed to leave. Of course it is not quite as simple as that, as if when they kill the person named in their message, they will receive another message, stating the target of the one who they have killed. Put simply, Nobody can leave until all but one of them is dead. Whether the teenagers are up front about the matter with each other is up to them, and none of them will start off knowing the one who was assigned to kill them. Let the games begin.

Of course, the issue with this manner of RP is that, if things go according to plan, 7 player characters are going to die, and most RPers really, REALLY dislike having their characters die. This means that the participants in this RP will have to be of a high maturity level, and will have to be able to deal with a character dying. I would like to be able to say that there is some way for characters to continue to be used after their deaths, but frankly that defeats the whole point of this RP as a concept.
If anybody thinks this is a good idea, that we might be able to pull off well, let me know.

I support this. It is a good idea and we might be able to pull it off well. It helps test each RPer too and their tolerance for sacrificing their own characters, not quite unlike a social experiment. Everyone's probably going to have difficulty coping, but at the same time, that's part of the point. I say, LET US DO IT.

Maturity. Realistically, one teen wouldn't be capable of killing all the rest (I know I can't) and it would be up to the participants to handle this aspect well.

In the case of the very likely lack of maturity how would you decide who kills who?

Also, would one be able to kill people who aren't their designated target, and if that's the case what would happen to the person who killed someone who wasn't their target, and the person who was actually targetting the person killed?

Ok. So each of the teens will have been implanted with an internalized heart-rate moniter to check if they are still alive. If the teen kills anybody who they are not assigned to kill, or that is not assigned to kill them, the device will release neurotoxins directly into their bloodstream, killing them within... how about seconds. Of course, none of them would atually know of this capability, or even of the moniters to begin with, but the message will mention that "killing willy nilly is strictly forbade".

Also, in the event of people not wanting their characters to die... If there are any issues, they can be taken up in PM. The affected parties, as well as myself, can talk it out and figure out the best result, both to fit within reason, and for the quality of the RP as a whole.

Considering the response so far, I am definitely going to do this. Expect an OOC within the next few days. Before then, is there anything else that needs to be cleared up?
