I might play that Adik other then the issue that the Egyptian Gods didn't rule the Shadow Realm, Zorc did...

Well yeah, but Zorc was sealed in the Millennium Ring for the past 3000 years. Someone had to be ruling the place in the interim. While it's obviously not something that I would go into in the promo/teaser thing, the way I'm having it is that after Zorc's disappearance the three stewards took over the Shadow Realm, claiming to be ruling on behalf of the three Egyptian Gods (And since the Gods are worshiped by the residents of the Shadow Realm, those credentials were enough to defer authority to them). Naturally, the disappearance of the Gods caused a lot of problems for those three, so  they had to scramble to get replacements as soon as possible... preferably, replacements that owed them a favor for putting them there in the first place.

 

Technically speaking, this is stuff that would only be revealed later on in the plot, but it's not particularly shocking information so there you go.

I've been writing up a steampunk military academy roleplay set in a massive warring world.In this world, there exists a force called Animus, which is generally wielded as a fighting energy (like chi, aura, blah, blah), but can be also used to control automatons which range from foot soldiers to Skyrim dwarven centurions to bronze dragons. You are training as a Knight-Engineer, a fighter who can also utilise these automatons as powerful servants and engines of war.And as you enroll into the academy, you will be drawn into a grand conspiracy.Additional ideas are accepted, so you can create nearly any sort of character you want.


Do you want some help with this? By the way, it could use a little expansion, character usage wise. Maybe give them more than one type of fighter... Wether it be in how they use their chakra or whatever or what creatures they control

I intend to have it that automatons are much more powerful than humans, but humans do stand a chance. Besides, there is a great variety of automatons and styles.

It's a bit like RWBY. There are many different types of automatons and styles, so I would assume. 'Knight-Engineer' is a pretty flexible term, and if there's one than one fighter, wouldn't they need more than one college?

Well, who's up?
I'm planning this real soon. I've been thinking of themed Gyms/E4 instead of regular type-based ones. All gyms and E4 members have a team of 6, to raise fun and difficulty levels.

Also, as of this period, Mega Evolutions are one step closer to regular evolutions, as Pokemon with Mega Evolutions can benefit from Eviolite.

Being new to the World of Pokemon as a whole, Duel Monsters are still being researched on, and hence, lack Mega Evolutions... for now. However, some forms, like Assault Modes, work like Mega Evolutions. The Gene Splicer works like Polymerization(although i will allow some Fusions to evolve from their materials through other means).

I'll allow custom moves abilities, but only if they are variations of already existing ones.

Adak, I have 3 questions about your RP:

1. What's your limit on characters per person?
2. Are all students no longer affiliated to the specific dorms?
3. Are custom cards allowed?

 

1. Only one student per person. If you're playing a Dark Duelist though, multiples are allowed. Unlike the students, they have an easily reachable death condition -- among other reasons (Such as the fact that the number of required Dark Duelists is, for various complicated reasons, larger than the number of players I expect to have).

2. If you're playing a student (You can choose not to), then yes you're affiliated with a dorm. Each Dorm has its own strengths and weaknesses, largely related to what shadow game upgrades and such they can get. Slifer Reds have all the upgrades for Duel Spirits, they can have more upgrades than the other dorms, and they have access to a large number of cheap abilities. Ra Yellows have access to more strategic upgrades (Usually ones related to deducing information about their opponent -- they get access to an upgrade lets them know what a person's shadow game is by looking at them, for example). Obeeelisk Blues get powerful but expensive upgrades, and have most of the upgrades related to the God Candidates -- they're the only ones who can run 3 copies of their candidate (The other dorms are limited to a maximum of two copies with upgrades). That's without getting into the different types of shadow games available to the different dorms.

3. We'd probably be using Dueling Network for the Duels. If we do, then no. If we're using something else, then maybe.

Seriously though, what is it about what I said that made you decide you didn't want to play it? I want to know -- If I'm going to run this (Which I may or may not end up doing), then I need to know what it is that made you not want to play, so that I can fix it.

 

As a side note, apparently there's an online dueling program that lets you use custom cards. Unfortunately the site for it is down at the moment, so I have no idea if it's appropriate for this RP or if it'll run on my computer (A valid concern, seeing how I use a Mac). If it does work for me though, then custom card usage becomes a possibility.

I had already made multiple custom cards of my own series (in a sense), and I wanted to test them out before I even attempt to use them for my purposes. Does that make sense?

So it looks like my Pokemon RP really isn't getting the attention that it needs to get up off the ground. That leaves an opening for another RP to host. 

 

I was thinking maybe an ATLA(and/or LoK) RP. I don't really have too much of an idea on plot or anything yet, but what do you guys think about that?

Any suggestions, I was thinking a kind of Final Fantasy tactics style, where there are different classes for different, well, for lack of a better word, classes, some would combine. For example, black magic would be taken by multiple classes. But instead of there being set classes, people get to end up designing their own based on what classes they went to. Thoughts suggestions, and P.S., I would love a cohost.

I am so down for this.

 

@Adak: I would potentially be interested if custom cards are allowed. It sounds like an interesting premise.

I have finally overcome my Writer's block and thought of a new RP - Ibaraki-doji no Hyakki Yagyo

If you have learnt about Japanese Mythology, you will know about the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, a yearly event held by the Nurarihyon.

After Nurarihyon's death, a new successor, Ibaraki-doji, rises. Nurarihyon appeared to have much faith in her, but the rest of Nurarihyon's faction, on the other hand, do not trust their new leader, this was only made worse by her mild immaturity, unpredictable behaviour and stereotypical oni habit of drinking sake very often.

Now, new threats begin to tackle Japan and it is up to Nurarihyon's faction, now Ibaraki-doji's faction, to halt them. The problem lies in trust, which isn't exactly the strongest trait of the faction.

The RP is about Ibaraki-doji gaining her comrade's trust, and her yokai army learning to trust her in turn. Of course, they will learn to blend in with others, and make new friends and foes alike.

Sounds interesting?

About which part?

The Ranking System, if that is what you refer to, goes by Leader(Ibaraki-doji), Generals, and warriors.

There are other Yokai factions, and the Official Onmyoji Association. This is a workd where yokai are constantly exorcised and seen as scum. The Ibaraki Faction wishes to break such an illusion and bridge the gap between man and yokai.
