Fusion X. Denver
Suddenly, exposition.
Two figures stood across from Satu, observing their new company. The one on the left lowered the crimson hood of his cloak, revealing a bespectacled man with a piercing, emerald gaze and chiseled features that contrasted his slightly unkempt auburn hair. He walked a few steps forward, his boots silently scaling the cool stone beneath his feet. “Well, this is a surprise. Mind if I ask what you’re doing here?” Satu slowly stood up, his eyes refusing to look away from the potential enemies. “I came here by accident; I was fighting with some freak and I ended up falling into this place…wherever this is.” “I see,” he replied. “I’ve never seen that sort of jutsu before; how does it work?” Satu shrugged. “I don’t know; it’s just a jutsu. There are plenty of unique jutsus in our generation compared to the ones before ours.” “I realize, but I was more interested in other possible applications of your power. What village are you from?” Satu twisted his arm to display the shimmering metal wrapped around his bicep. “The Hidden Leaf. However…” He reached for his waist and wielded a kunai, slicing it horizontally across the headband. “I’ve just left for my own reasons.” The man smirked. “That complies perfectly with my proposal.” “What proposal?” The other figure whispered, "Is that really a good idea, Akimoto?" Akimoto glanced at his partner for a split second, before turning away, pushing his sliding glasses toward his brow. “My partner and I are part of a travelling gang of homeless ninja such as yourself, trying to make our way in the ninja world. We’ve all banded together in an attempt to help each other reach our dreams and live freely. We aren’t beholden to anyone, except each other.” Satu slowly nodded, scanning the other partner that had not addressed him yet. The black cloak concealed his entire figure, shadows obscuring any facial features. Satu thought there was some movement in the cloak when he had taken out his kunai, but he saw no outward movement afterwards. “So you want me to join your little group?” “Yes.” “There any girls?” “Why should that matter?” Satu chuckled, shaking his head. “Dude, if you and me are going to have any sort of understanding, you shouldn’t need to ask that question.” Akimoto frowned. “There’s one, though you won’t have any luck trying to get with her. For the record, there are six of us total, seven if you decide to accept my offer.” Satu crossed his arms. “I still don’t quite understand what it is you do. Sure, you help each other with your dreams, but how do you go about that? Do you just dick around sight-seeing, wandering aimlessly, that kind of crap? That’s what I take from it.” “How do you even…” Akimoto muttered. “Look, if you must know, it just so happens that all of our issues can be resolved with the same solution. Do you believe in legends?” “Legends of heroes like Naruto Uzumaki that saved the ninja world? Yes. Legends of the Closet Gnome that terrorized the Hidden Mist Village? No, not really.” “Ever hear of the Vast Key?” His gaze lowered to the key charm around Satu’s neck. “It’s a common tale; you must know of it.” “Sorry pal, can’t say I have. What sort of key is it?” “The Vast Key is a weapon said to be in possession of a great traveler. Legend has it that this traveler spent his days roaming dimensions through time and space, saving worlds from impeding destruction and chaos. And what allowed him to do it was the Vast Key.” Satu's eyelids dropped down slightly. He scratched his chin and leaned back, his eyes blankly gazing at Akimoto. “Okay, so what? What makes you think this guy existed and it’s not just some bullshit story some drunk made up?” Akimoto gave Satu a knowing glance and reached into his cloak, pulling out a scroll and tossing it to Satu. Catching it, Satu rolled it open and saw that it was a news article. Alongside the text was a photograph of what appeared to be a purple spiral in an empty patch of land surrounded by trees. Noting his confusion, Akimoto said, “That’s an article reprinted from The Senju Ledger dating back around four months ago. It was a phenomenon that no one was able to explain. What made the situation even more odd was that it occurred around the same time a great number of individuals disappeared from Senju State. To this day, none of the missing persons have been found.” Satu blankly stared at the scroll before tossing it back. “You really think that’s some sort of portal to another dimension?” Akimoto nodded. “I’m sure of it, because the portal disappeared in a flash faster than it came. It’s also noteworthy that the disappearances stopped around the same time the portal was gone. All of the missing people must have stumbled upon the portal and disappeared into another world, unable to return.” “Okay, so even if this isn’t all a hoax and there is some time and space crap happening, what’s that have to do with some magic key?” “Well isn’t it obvious? When a problem with the space-time continuum occurs, the hero of legend is supposed to appear and fix it.” A sly smirk slowly crawled up Satu's jawline. “So you want the Vast Key for yourselves. And you’re going to fight this dude who’s cool enough to fix the dangerous problems no one else can. You sound like a swell bunch of guys.” Akimoto shook his head. “Please, don’t take us for unruly savages. All we plan on doing is allowing him to whisk us away from this land to another world. Somewhere with rich opportunities for a fresh start, somewhere we can be ourselves and live the way we want to. We don’t have any other choice.” Satu rolled his head back. “Kay, that’s nice and all, but what makes you think that guy’s even still here? That portal was around four months ago, right? He should be long gone by now.” Akimoto pulled out another scroll and opened it, displaying pictures of cleared landscapes and more conspicuous purple circles. “It’s become a bit of a regular occurrence across the land. Over the past few months, these portals have all opened within close range of Senju State.” Satu said, “If this were such a big deal, I think I would have heard about it.” Akimoto closed the scroll and pocketed it. “The thing is though, these pictures weren’t published in a paper. They’re seized files from police records in Senju State. Its government is hushing the whole matter up.” “But why?” “Why else? They wouldn’t want to cause a panic and they wouldn’t want meddlers like us trying to have our way with a power such as traveling dimensions. Our space-time ninjutsu is nothing compared to the phenomena surrounding us.” Satu paused, eyeing Akimoto. “You must be very trusting, telling a complete stranger like me all of this.” Akimoto grinned, prompting Satu to glance away. “No need to consider us strangers. My name is Akimoto Naoki and this is my partner, Fujimoto Michiyo.” Satu nodded. “I’m Satu Kaemon. I’ve decided...fine, I’ll tag along with you guys for a bit.” Akimoto clapped, his eyes shimmering as he said, “Excellent. But first, you must go through the initiation process.” “Which is?” “Prove your worth by fighting with Fujimoto. If you’re capable enough, we’ll let you into our ranks.” Satu groaned. “Dude, I just fought this gravity guy and I spent more chakra than I should have and-” He stopped as a wave of black filled his vision. Satu grimaced as a sharp pain stabbed through his left arm, prompting him to leap away. Fujimoto had appeared next to him in a flash and jabbed his arm with a needle, now empty. “The hell did you do to me?” “That was adrenaline,” Fujimoto answered. "Unruly savage..." "Come." Fusion X. Denver
Actually, make that 2 chapters. I forgot that 6 was a bit on the shorter side, so I'll give a 2 chapter package.
Satu crouched into a defensive stance, surveying his cloaked opponent. He’s quick, I’ll give him that. But I can’t tell anything else about him. “Hey, how about you show yourself?” Fujimoto whisked his cloak off and stood straight. He was a blond man who looked to be the same age as Satu and Akimoto. Icy blue eyes pierced through Satu, matching his coat. A red scarf and white tunic completed his look, hardly matching the impression one would expect from a shinobi. “Hurry up, we don’t have all day.” Satu grunted and dashed forward, throwing a quick right hook at Fujimoto’s head. His arm propelled light behind it to help speed up the attack, but the blow sailed overhead and missed. Satu’s eyes widened as he saw Fujimoto shrink down in size before jumping up and landing an uppercut under his chin. He then gripped Satu’s skull and smashed his knee into Satu’s face. Satu threw both arms out to grab him, but only met with air after Fujimoto kicked himself away and stood still. Satu immediately sped forward with enough speed to startle Fujimoto, prompting Satu to aim a ball of light formed in his palm at him before releasing it. Light Style: Swift Serve! The ball of light cut through the air and began digging into Fujimoto’s stomach, but he suddenly expanded outward. Fujimoto's body turned into a giant ball, succeeding in repelling Satu’s Swift Serve. He then began rolling rapidly in place before propelling himself at Satu. Expansion Jutsu: Human Boulder! Satu braced his stance and thrust both hands out, each of them glowing. The human meatball ceased as Satu gripped into its flesh, but his muscles caved in and he succumbed. Satu felt his nose break as well as a few other bones as Fujimoto rolled over him completely. Fuck…I can’t see too well. He’s coming for another rebound. Satu sat up and turned around, expecting to meet another Human Boulder. Instead, he felt his collar gripped by Fujimoto’s arm. He was standing a few feet away, but he managed to stretch his arm over the long distance and began pulling Satu towards him. As the distance between them closed, Satu let his feet touch the ground and then kicked off with all his strength. Fujimoto grunted as Satu sailed upward, still in his grasp. “I don’t like to brag, but I have a pretty strong grip. You can’t escape.” How soon we forget, Satu thought. He placed both hands to the side and began charging a sphere of light between them as Fujimoto’s fist suddenly passed through Satu’s gi. That was the same trick he used from the ceiling. I wonder if he's able to use it on the ground? Fujimoto immediately withdrew his arm and began expanding it until the arm was the size of a giant’s. Satu’s steely gaze studied Fujimoto’s arm, and then the rest of his body. Save for his right arm, the skin on Fujimoto's bones looked a little more gaunt than it had previously. Feeling his jutsu reaching stability as he fell through the air, Satu let go of the sphere with one hand and thrust the attack into Fujimoto’s incoming fist. Light Style: Nova Sphere! Expansion Jutsu: Gigantic Pistol! An explosion rattled the cave and nearly unsettled several stalactites. Akimoto stood unperturbed by gluing his feet to the ground with chakra, waiting for the cloud of smoke to dissipate. Fujimoto underestimated him. Satu collapsed on the ground, heaving and coughing from the smoke and blood clouding his face. Fujimoto clutched his right arm, which had returned to normal size. His hand was bloody and mangled; several fingers blown off and twisted in unnatural proportions. “Bloody mess this is.” Satu's eyes widened as Fujimoto’s hand began reshaping itself. Fresh new digits grew where there were none. Bones rearranged as his hand returned to its former structure. As soon as his hand returned to normal, Satu noticed Fujimoto’s breathing had become audible. Akimoto walked toward them. “Let’s call it off here. I think Satu’s proven he’s more than capable of being a part of Libre, don’t you think?” “Sure,” Fujimoto muttered. He offered a hand to the fallen Satu. “Come on, we’re leaving.” Satu opted to push himself back onto his feet and began blubbering with a frown, but Akimoto interrupted, “Relax, Yamashita knows enough medical ninjutsu to fix something minor like a broken nose.” He smiled and clapped Satu on the back. “I think you’ll like Libre. We make some damn tasty cookies.” Satu rolled his eyes and let his senses dull as the two led him deeper into the cavern. Dunno what happens now, but…I’ll see you soon, guys.

“Hey, got any magazines?” Yamashita Kuremo was in the middle of a very entrancing novel. The story’s heroine had reached a crossroads and was about to determine the course things would take for the rest of the book. It is these kinds of moments that rekindle the lost flair and thrill Yamashita had felt during his days on the seas. For disturbing the magical moment, Yamashita peered up from the pages and glared at his new comrade lying on his bed, staining the sheets with blood and mucus. One steely black eye riveted on Satu's half-bandaged face, the other kept shut with a scar running through the socket vertically. “Sorry kid, we don’t have any dirty smut for you to sit in the bathroom with.” “Oh shut up,” Satu said. “And don’t go calling me a kid; you’re the same age I am.” “That so? How old are you?” “17.” Yamashita shrugged. “Touche, kid. Now quiet down, I’m at the good part.” Satu glanced at the book title before saying, “You know she kills her brother at the end, right?” Yamashita sighed and set the book down on the nearby desk before leaning forward in his seat. “Kid, I don’t need to hear s*** from you too, okay? It’s bad enough I have to put up with Akimoto’s condescending crap.” Satu raised an eyebrow. “From what he told me, Libre’s supposed to be a swell group of guys looking out for each other’s interests.” Yamashita scoffed, running his hands through his unruly mane of black hair before attempting to tame it down to a ponytail. “He says that, but the fact of the matter is we’re all too different from each other. And we’re a lot like the shinobi of old; you know, the ones who used to have ice-cold hearts that showed no emotion, even when a comrade died in front of them. We’re like soldiers.” “Boy I cannot wait to meet the rest of you.” Yamashita shrugged, lowering his gaze to his feet. “I mean, they’re not bad people, but they don’t tolerate s*** too much. Anytime I make a joke, no one really laughs.” Satu rubbed his chin. “Maybe that’s because you’re not funny?” Yamashita shrugged. “It could be, but I used to have a good time with my crew back in the old days.” “Crew?” “Yeah, I was a pirate for most of my life. Ever hear of the Cursed Remoraids?” Satu said, “I actually have; you guys had a really crazy captain from what I heard. Is it true you guys warred with the Tsuchikage that one time?” Yamashita chuckled. “Uncle Kisuke always was a wild one. Yeah, we fought her; that fight was what eventually led to our disbandment. And that’s what led to me and Sakura joining Libre.” Satu perked up. “What kind of a girl is Sakura?” Yamashita shook his head. “I mean, she’s pretty hot, but I wouldn’t go putting the moves on her. She doesn’t like being touched; I speak from experience.” Satu moaned and laid his head back on his pillow. “Two minutes with you has convinced me joining this little project’s a bad idea after all.” “I wouldn’t try escaping if I were you,” Yamashita cautioned. “To be blunt, you know too much. We’ll have you killed if you leave without having your memory wiped.” “Then…wipe my memory or something. It’s probably for the best I forget all this weird s*** Akimoto told me and move on with my life.” “We could…but the memory wipe is a joint jutsu that we all participate in. When we wipe someone’s memory, we get rid of everything. It’s a miracle people can still remember how to talk and walk after we’re through with them.” Satu rested his hand over his eyes. “Can you tell me how long until my face heals up?” “Eh, only a couple more days if you include your two ribs and a few other bones you broke. I found it hard to believe you only suffered this much after being run over by Fujimoto.” Satu said, “Actually, I wanted to ask about that. Is that Fujimoto guy from the Hidden Leaf? His expansion jutsus date back to an old clan of ours.” Yamashita said, “I think he’s from the Sand to be honest, but not positive. I don’t keep track of that stuff; I’m used to meeting people from anywhere and nowhere with this lifestyle.” “Do you know where Akimoto’s from?” “Hidden Mist. Which is ironic, considering his array of jutsu, but he’s the only one in Libre from there. Everyone else aside from him, me and Fujimoto are from the Hidden Stone Village.” Satu nodded. “Makes sense. With the way things are run there, I wouldn’t blame anyone wanting to run away.” “Yeah, word around the grapevine’s that the Tsuchikage’s a giant b****. She’s been running programs that make the 4[sup]th[/sup] Mizukage’s era look pale in comparison.” “Don’t you mean Tobi…or whatever his name was?” Yamashita narrowed his gaze. “You didn’t pay attention during history class back in the academy, huh?” “Like you can talk.” Yamashita waved him off. “Anyways, I need to get back to my book. If I’m stuck in here, I at least want some quiet.” Satu grimaced. “Why are you even in here anyways?” “Been ordered to babysit you. Make sure you heal up fine and you don’t escape.” “What if I want to escape?” Satu asked. Yamashita sighed and gazed into Satu’s eyes. Ensuring he had his attention, he opened up his left eye. A crimson iris with three black tomoe began to spin in place, pulling Satu in the abyss of unconsciousness. As Satu drifted into wonderland, Yamashita leaned back and picked up his book, thumbing through for the page he last read. “Damn kids.”

Fusion X. Denver
Boy, am I late in updating, my bad. Same deal as last time since 8 ended up being like...short short. NOW TIME FOR SOME ACTION.
Clouds loomed across the horizon, congregating together into giant, gray menaces. There was only one individual left exposed to the impending rain, on the open dirt path sprawled across the rolling plains. The figure dashed like lightning, leaving a clean cloud of dust in her wake. The dirt felt soft beneath her bare feet, like sand. As she approached a fork in the road, she skidded to a stop, dusting her black jacket out of habit. She knelt down and pressed her palm into the earth, closing her eyes and letting her senses guide her through the land, searching for her target. It was a long, chilly five minutes until she finally felt the familiar chakra. That far underground, huh? He must be in the caverns…perfect. She stood up and reached behind her back into a knapsack. A quick rummaging located her only pair of shoes: red high heels. She lifted her foot up and tensed for a moment, resulting in the dirt sliding off her soles and permitting entry into her shoe. After doing the same for her other foot, she began walking towards the right. The path would take her into the forest that would eventually lead to the Hidden Leaf Village. Finding comfort with this brief period of relaxation, she let her thoughts wander about her daily troubles. This has been one horrible day. It’s bad enough that I let someone steal all of my things while I was asleep; these nasty heels in the garbage were all I could find. And now that I spent the last of my money on the bill for the inn, I’m broke… I guess there’s one bright side to it, though. She reached into her shirt and pulled out a silver locket hanging around her neck. The essence within resonated with the chakra signal she attuned her senses to. “I can’t believe I found you after all this time.”

Satu slept peacefully on his cot, his snoring synchronized with a snot bubble slowly expanding and contracting beneath his nostril. He then sat up with a jolt, popping the bubble and fueling his systems with adrenaline. He looked to his right. Yamashita sat slumping in his chair, his head lolling between the pages of his book. Satu quickly and quietly situated himself out of bed and slipped his shoes on. He poked his head out of the door and saw the doorway was part of a stone hallway. Torches lit the passageway, showing no other visible rooms other than Satu’s. He began tip-toeing down the hall, wincing as he clutched his side. I need a game plan. Got to find a way out. “Going somewhere, man?” Satu whirled around with a kunai in hand. Opposing him was a tall, dark-skinned teenager with matching jeans and a black and yellow jacket. Jet-blue eyes looked Satu up and down. When Satu looked around, he saw no disturbance within the corridor. “And where did you come from, Bumblebee?” “Cute,” he snorted. “Akimoto stationed me here as a safety precaution. Looks like he was right.” “Look man, how about you let me go...and I’ll stop making obvious, snide remarks about your stupid jacket.” The kid’s eyebrow twitched as he rubbed the top of his shaved head. “You’ve got some nerve, dude. No one disrespects Ishimaru Soujiro like that.” “Oh cool, we’re referring to ourselves in the third person? Satu amazed at special caveman talk.” “You’re dead,” Ishimaru muttered. Satu felt a rumbling beneath his feet and jumped away as the spot he stood in jutted into the ceiling in the form of a spike. “Nice trick, but can you do this?” Satu asked as he collected chakra in his throat. He opened his mouth as wide as he could and flashed a blinding light into Ishimaru’s eyes. Taking advantage of his blindness, Satu sped in the opposite direction as quickly as possible. The hallway began changing around him, transforming into a series of lethal obstacle courses. Satu jumped over chasms, tiny stone darts thrown from the walls, spikes from the floor and ceiling, and more, until he finally broke through a door into an open chamber. The chamber was mostly dark and musty save for one spot on the opposite side illuminated by a few candles. As Satu ran closer, he saw that the candles were placed between wedges in what appeared to be scales of a giant stone dragon. “If he makes that thing move, I quit.” “Konno!” Ishimaru yelled, still rubbing his eyes. “Heads up, man!” Satu looked ahead and saw that someone was sitting in the dim lighting of the dragon, shrouded in a shadowy cloak. The figure stood up and turned to Satu. Steely eyes protruded from the darkness and locked onto its target. “So today’s the day you’ll die after all, eh Satu Kaemon?” “Yeah, no,” Satu replied. “f*** off.” With that, Satu’s leg momentarily glowed before he jumped and slashed it in the direction of the cloaked enemy. The light left his body and flew towards Konno as an energy wave. Konno wound one arm behind his back and swiped it across, dispelling the attack with little effort. Inferno Style: Slithering Snake! Konno then blew out a long jet of black flames that twisted into the shape of a snake. The fiery attack coiled in midair before converging onto Satu. Satu jumped and turned himself intangible in the nick of time. He glanced around and found one small passageway tucked away into the corner. He flew towards it, but halted as stone slid up from the bottom and sealed it away. “Don’t go yet, Kaemon,” Ishimaru yelled. “You haven’t even passed the first rite of initiation yet!” “Oh yeah?” Satu shouted. “I’d rather slide through dog s*** then stay here any longer.” “That can be arranged,” he heard behind him. Satu spun around to meet with Konno kicking him square in the chest. He coughed up blood as he fell to the ground with a thud, his ribs heaving in agony. Satu growled as he got to his feet, charging two orbs of light in his palms. But Ishimaru had made two arms from the surrounding pillars and clasped them tightly around Satu. Satu wriggled with all his strength, but he knew it was done. He let himself go limp and began running tactics through his head as Konno and Ishimaru walked over. Ishimaru said, “He was no good after all, Konno. What do we do now?” “Let’s kill him. We already scanned his mind earlier; he doesn’t know anything useful.” Ishimaru shrugged. “Shouldn’t we check with Akimoto first?” Konno said, “Who gives a s*** about Akimoto? He’s not even the strongest team member.” “Please spare us the story of you wiping out a battle fleet on your own; you can only hear it so many times before it gets bo-” “Hey,” a voice called out. The two looked over to see Fujimoto entering the chamber. “What are you two doing?” “He tried to escape,” Ishimaru explained. “We were just about to kill him since he clearly isn’t going to join us.” Fujimoto said, “That isn’t necessary, just hold him while I get the rest of the team. We’ll wipe his mind and let him be.” Konno stepped in front of Fujimoto. “Look, I haven’t seen any action lately and I’ve been getting cramps from all this pent-up energy. Let me have my fun with him, would you?” “If you ask me, you need these periods of peace to prevent yourself from becoming any more of a savage than you already are.” Konno growled. “Watch it, Michiyo. You wouldn’t want to cross me when I’m angry.” Fujimoto glared back at him. “I’ll say the same to you.” Ishimaru stepped between the two and put his arms around their necks. “Guys, guys, no need for hostility. Here, how about we beat him to within an inch of his life, and then wipe his memory? Everybody wins.” Before Fujimoto and Konno could answer, the chamber was suddenly filled with light. Everyone shielded their eyes, save for Satu, who had to settle for clenching them as tightly as possible. A giant hole in the ceiling opened up from what appeared to be a contained explosion. Burnt kunais with shreds of burnt paper bombs clattered to the ground along with boulder-sized ceiling fragments. A figure dropped from above and landed next to Satu atop the stone hands. He marveled at this beautiful girl standing next to him with her flowing red hair. She looked down to him and said, “So you were the unfamiliar chakra. Hang on, I’ll get you out.” As the three Libre members began regaining their sight back, Ishimaru cried out, “Risa? Risa, is that you? Wow, it’s been ages.” Fujimoto’s eyes jolted open and gazed upon the redhead. His jaw slackened slightly as the hand shielding his face dropped to his side. “What…are you doing here?” Risa slid her eyes onto Fujimoto. She stood there for a moment before saying, “You know…there were a lot of things I wanted to say. I wanted to tell you just how I truly felt. When I heard of sightings in the previous town, I followed you for the all day yesterday to find you. But now that I’m here, now that I’m facing you in person…I have nothing to say.” “No…” Fujimoto muttered. “You’ve said plenty.” Konno pulled his hood back. He grinned as he ran a hand through his untidy, black hair. “Sorry Fujimoto, but since you held me back from killing Kaemon, I’m going to have to settle for your ex.” Fujimoto appeared between him and Risa with his arms spread out. “I can’t let you do that, Konno.” “Guys, focus!” Ishimaru yelled. As Fujimoto and Konno argued, Risa had been able to pry the hands apart enough for Satu to slip out. Ishimaru leaped upward and focused chakra into his fist, turning it to stone. “Those vine whips of yours may be stronger than stone hands, but they won’t be stronger than my…my…stone hand.” “Has he always been this dumb?” Satu asked. “Kinda,” the other three chorused. “Shut up!” Ishimaru yelled, plummeting down into the stone fists. They crumbled apart under his strength and kicked up a giant dust cloud. Ishimaru brought the dust together and sent it back towards Risa and Satu, who were running up the chamber’s walls toward the ceiling hole. A giant tree root protruded from the stone wall and shielded the two from the dust storm. “So I wasn’t seeing things,” Satu noted. Those were vines you used to cut me open. Plant Style?” “You seem smart,” Risa said. “Hey, could you do something about him?” Satu looked ahead and saw Konno flying in the air, blocking the exit. Two jet-black wings flapped behind his back. He took a deep breath and breathed out another jet of black flame, this time in the shape of a snake-like dragon. “Uh…no, I’m kinda useless here, sorry.” Risa sighed as she formed a few handsigns. Several giant tree branches grew out of the walls and gave them new perches to jump to before the dragon incinerated them. Konno began flying towards them, but was suddenly batted aside by a giant hand. Fujimoto stood below the commotion, restraining Konno. He and Risa exchanged glances, slowing time to a crawl. Satu immediately faced downward and shined a blinding light into the chamber. When the Libre members could see again, Satu and Risa were long gone.
