Gadjiltron's Random Card Ideas

Recommended Posts

Right then, this thread is going to be for any realistic cards I come up with but don't quite belong to an original archetype. In other words, support for what is already in the official card game. They could use some balancing. Also, I don't exactly have good ideas for images they could use, so no plans on actually generating the cards any time soon.

Guess I'll start with my ideas for the Venom archetype.
Venom Constrictor
LV4 DARK
[Reptile/Effect]
Once per turn: You can target one face-up monster on the field; place 1 Venom Counter on it, and this monster cannot attack the same turn you use this effect. Monsters with Venom Counters on them cannot attack or change their battle positions.
1500/1000

Venom Defiler
LV4 DARK
[Reptile/Effect]
If you do not control a face-up "Venom Swamp", destroy this card. You can discard this card from your hand to the Graveyard: Add 1 "Venom Swamp" from your Deck to your Hand.
2100/0

Venom Mamba
LV5 DARK
[Reptile/Effect]
Once per turn: You can discard a card; place 1 Venom Counter on each face-up monster your opponent controls. Monsters lose 500 ATK for each Venom Counter on them.
2300/1400

Venom Viper
LV5 DARK
[Reptile/Effect]
Once per turn: You can target 1 monster with Venom Counters on it; destroy that target, then send Reptile-Type monsters from your Deck to your Graveyard equal to the number of Venom Counters that were on that target. This monster cannot attack the same turn you use this effect.
2400/800

Venom Taipan
LV7 DARK
[Reptile/Effect]
You can Normal Summon this card by Tributing 1 "Venom" monster you control. Monsters with their ATK reduced to 0 by the effect of "Venom Swamp" are not destroyed by its effect. This card gains 200 ATK for each Venom Counter on the field. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; place a Venom Counter on that target. When this card attacks a Defense Position Monster: You can change the attack target to Attack Position.
2200/1800

Neurotoxin
[Continuous Spell]
Monsters with Venom Counters on them have their effects negated, and cannot activate their effects.

Haemotoxin
[Continuous Spell]
"Venom" monsters you control gain 100 ATK for each Venom Counter on the field. While you control a "Venom" monster, your opponent cannot Set monsters or flip them face-down.

Hallucinogen
[Equip Spell]
Equip only to a monster with Venom Counters on it. Take control of the equipped monster until this card leaves the field. The equipped monster is unaffected by the effects of "Venom Swamp", and cannot activate its effects. During the End Phase: Remove 1 Venom Counter from the equipped monster. When there are no Venom Counters on the equipped monster, destroy this card.

Antivenom
[Normal Trap]
Target 1 face-up monster with 2 or more Venom Counters on it; remove all Venom Counters from that target, then draw a card for every 2 Venom Counters removed that way.
Oh, Venoms. Cool.
Constrictor is very nice. It can put the opponent in a bind until you get out Your boss and obliterate them. Very nice.
Defiler should be 2100 and die if there's no Swamp, like Captain Gold or Zeridias (Whatever), since the Field doesn't increase it's ATK. Otherwise, It's CRAZY. +500 to your bosses AND gets swamp? It's madly powerful. I LOVE it.
Mamba is alright. Just the fact that it's level 5 makes it kinda lame. The effect is nothing special, and essentially just a monster Venom swamp that only activates once per 2 turns, and needs a discard. I guess the Extra ATK down is nice, but It's not needed.
Neurotoxin is good. Maybe add something to prevent it from dyeing, maybe remove 3 venom counters on the field to prevent destruction?
Haemotoxin is Kinda lame as well. It's usable, but Venoms need so much S/T dedication already, so I prolly wouldn't use it.

Thing is, without Venom Swamp, Venom Counters do absolutely nothing. Mamba's kind of like a backup Swamp of sorts (and can stack with Swamp for twice the infect damage), while Haemotoxin helps the Deck fizzle out opposing beaters that would otherwise take too long to curl up and die by Swamp's normal effect.
